Delaney wants to prove himself to the rest of the Pyr, so he goes after the source of the Dragon’s Blood Elixir. Of course he goes by himself, with no backup. He is shocked to experience his firestorm with Ginger, whom he meets by chance one wintry day in Ohio. He didn’t expect to get this chance since he feels his blood is still contaminated by the Elixir. So Delaney figures why not satisfy the firestorm and leave an heir before he goes off on his suicide mission. Well, Ginger isn’t sure what’s going on other than the fact that Delaney is the most amazing man she’s ever met, but she’s not about to let him just leave her after a one night stand. She may be a dairy farmer, but she’s one tough country gal who is determined to find out what is going on and to help Delaney survive this mission.
Delaney is one of the most broken Pyr characters, and the author does a great job of showing his redemption through the power of the firestorm and the love he shares with Ginger. It is also touching to see the support of the other Pry as they come to his aid. With friends like these, you know the Slayers are in for a tough battle.
This was a great, well-written book. Delaney has vowed to destroy the dragon’s Blood Elixir, no matter what it costs him. He is shocked to experience his firestorm when he meets Ginger. As Ginger gets to know Delaney she sees that he is a strong man who is fighting for good. This is book 4 in the Dragonfire novels series. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books in this series as well as others by this author.
Delaney is determined to eliminate the mysterious Dragon’s Blood Elixir in the hopes of redeeming himself or ending his suffering. But the Great Wyvern has other plans for Delaney in the form of Ginger Sinclair and a firestorm.
The “Dragonfire” series just keeps getting better and better and the fourth book in this exhilarating series – “Winter Kiss” is a showstopper of a story. Delaney and Ginger are strong characters that readers can’t help but love as they demand attention and send hearts racing with one eventful romance. The sizzling chemistry burns hot enough to melt a frozen tundra but the relationship is full of hardships and turmoil, especially Delaney who is determined to carry one dangerous task alone in order to protect his fellow Pyr, unfortunately for him, no one else is on board with that plan, especially the bad guys as they plan to take advantage of his firestorm.
Magnus is one persistent and diabolical enemy, one that has hidden depths and plans that endanger the world which keeps readers glued to the pages and coming back for more as the suspense builds and the intrigue thrills in this fast paced plot full of excitement and danger. The author’s creative writing brings all of this to vivid life and sparks imaginations with epic and stunning dragon battles and heartfelt and searing emotional turmoil that makes readers feel as if they are part of each and every scene and that they understand the motivations of each of the characters.
The “Dragonfire” series is fascinating and exhilarating world of dragon shifters with unique elements that make it enjoyable, believable and undeniably awesome. I don’t think I will ever get enough of these extremely hot Pyr and their firestorms, and while love them all, I must confess that Delaney’s firestorm just may be my favorite.
