They say love always finds you when you’re not looking for it….Romance writer Jennifer Graham heads to Dublin for a two month research trip, and to heal from a recent breakup. The last thing she is looking for is romance, especially with another workaholic…and then she meets Ian Shephard. He’s the son of her best friend’s aunt, the one she is staying with while she’s in Ireland. He’s staying … her best friend’s aunt, the one she is staying with while she’s in Ireland. He’s staying there too, temporarily while his condo is being renovated. Their attraction is immediate and unexpected. But dating Ian would be a very bad idea, for three very good reasons. He’s not looking for a relationship, he is a workaholic and he lives in another country….
So, they’ll just be friends…..that’s the plan anyway.

enjoyed, would recommend
As a new writer myself, I loved that the heroine is also a writer who explains how she works. The author writes believable characters who work to solve real issues. Very enjoyable!
Very very good book – thoroughly enjoyed it.
predictable but ok and a very fast read
It was an okay read, nothing surprising or special. The title is misleading. It did not take place in the winter.
I personally enjoyed it. I like an easy read occasionally and this was one of those.
This book did not start how I expected so I stopped reading it. I mean, the main character offers to have a fling with her the first time he meets her. Where can you really go from there?
Book is very slow getting where you already know ahead of them
It was a cute book!
Makes me want to go to a pub in Ireland!
Very good read.
Anything Pamela Kelley writes is excellent. Winter in Ireland is no exception! A must-read.
This is a mature look at friendship that can grow into love for more mature but still young people.
She is a romance writer who heads to Dublin to spend time at her friend’s aunt’s home after deciding to break up her relationship with her workaholic lawyer boyfriend.
Ian is the aunt’s divorced son who is a successful computer developer and who has a 5 year old daughter. He is a workaholic.
There is electricity but she wants a future and he wants a fling.
When she returns to Montana, they are both lonely.
Guess you can figure out the ending!
Montana Sweet Western Romance Series Book 5: WINTER IN IRELAND by Pamela M. Kelley was a delightfully entertaining and intriguing story filled with romance, humor, mystery and adventure.
It was fun to read. Light hearted with some interesting characters.
The book was a quick entertaining read, however lacked authenticity with regard to Ireland. Still, if you want a nice relaxing read- this book is a good choice.
I found it ironic that a book whose plot was around a writer going to Ireland for research had absolutely nothing about Ireland in it. It appears that the author did not even watch a Rick Steves travel log or look at a travel guide. She made Dublin, a vibrant city, sound like a Midwest suburban community.
Great!
Great recreational read. Well written.
The whole story was just too predictable and ” hunky dory” to be anything but boring. I was hoping it would give me an Irish scene, but no such luck. Nothing descriptive or genuine mentioned about the setting.
