The Hometown Players are back! I was so excited knowing that there was another book coming out for this series and that it was Seb’s book! Victoria did an amazing job on this story and I can’t wait for everyone to read it.
Sebastian, Seb, is looking for love. I loved Seb’s character. When you first read about him in Jordy’s book and then again for a bit in Devin’s book, you think that he is a serial dater, like Callie. But, this book completely changed my mind about him. When he met Shayne, all bets were off and he would do anything to make her his. I loved how passionate he was about her. He sought her out and made sure she knew he cared, even if she was too stubborn to admit it or to believe him.
Shayne, Shay, poor girl. Her character was hard for me to connect with in the beginning because she was so standoffish it seemed, until you learned the story behind her past. Once you learn about Shay and her aversion to hockey players, you start to connect with her to feel it’s justified, but letting Seb in is something only she could do and in her own way.
I loved their story and how they finally get together, officially. They both have histories, but getting to their happily ever after is a great story. I’m excited for Avery and Stephanie’s story in book 5.
Sebastian Deveau is a determined man, and when he sets his mind to something there is no stopping him, and he wants Shayne Beckford, but she isn’t falling for his french infused charms. From the moment they met she was adamant that she didn’t date hockey players, but he wasn’t about to let her get away that easy, they have something special and he isn’t about to let something as simple as his job title interfere with that. Now he just has to figure out how to convince her that he’s not like all hockey players, and that he deserves the chance to prove to her that he is the exception to her rule…
Shayne Beckford hates everything that has anything to do with hockey, she has been burnt bad by a hockey player, watched the sport destroy her family, and she is not about to let it taint her life anymore… but she didn’t account for a man like Sebastian Deveau to walk into her life. From the moment they meet she feels the sparks between them, but as soon as she finds out he is a hockey player she is ready to walk away. He however, isn’t so ready to just let go of what they have, he knows they have something special, and he wants to explore it… she however just isn’t ready to risk it! The mere idea of letting another hockey player into her life is excruciating, it’s destined to fail like all the times before… or is it?
The instant I saw this book was available I had to request it, I first met one of Ms. Denault’s hockey players a few months ago, and it spawned a little hockey addiction for me, one that has lingered with me for a long while. As soon as Sebastian entered my world I felt an instant crush settle over me, and I knew that there was no way him and I were parting ways until I had devoured every last page of his sexy story. The man was pure perfection… his cocky and domineering personality, caring nature, smooth and sultry french infused one liners, and alluring hockey player sex appeal lured me in and had me falling hard for him…and had me dedicating a permanent spot on my book boyfriend list for him. His unwavering commitment to make Shayne see he was the exception to her rule, was not only something to be admired, but also a beautiful thing to witness… definitely true love at it’s best!! I loved every minute of this one, it had me laughing, smiling, and swooning the whole way through and I can’t wait to see what Ms. Denault and her hockey players have in store for us next!!
If you like your fairy tales a little on the naughty side and equipped with smooth talking hockey players then I HIGHLY recommend you check out Ms. Denault’s Hometown Players series… you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
