Top 20 Amazon BestsellerRaquel and Harrison sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G.First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes a baby in the baby carriage. That’s how her brother used to sing it when we were kids—a simple ploy to get under my skin and make me stick my fist in his face—but man oh man, did he get the order wrong. One night of “kissing” in New York catapulted us straight to the … “kissing” in New York catapulted us straight to the pregnancy portion of the song—surprise!—and now I have to figure out how to carry out the whole melody in reverse.
A baby on the way first.
Then love and marriage?
It’s complicated on its best day.
But our situation is far more problematic than just a simple twist of nursery rhyme lyrics. Before our night together, Raquel Weaver was the best-known good girl in Hollywood—a twenty-nine-year-old innocent beauty whom the world adored and watched like a hawk.
Obviously, the consequences of that kind of reputation don’t just go away. Add in pregnancy hormones, the media, a fake fiancé, and a selfish manager, and you have the short list of my problems.
As a thirty-four-year-old, successful CFO of a multibillion-dollar media conglomerate, I thought I would be able to handle anything show business could throw my way, but I’m starting to think I might be in over my head.
Good thing I’m all in.
Winning Hollywood’s goodest girl is going to take everything I’ve got.

5 HOT Harrison and Raquel kissing stars.
I loved how warm and fuzzy Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl by Max Monroe made me feel. Harrison Hughes is just the sweetest, sexiest, and most swoon-worth of leading men. Especially when he has his own real leading lady in Hollywood actress Raquel Weaver.
Harrison and Raquel knew each other when they were kids. Raquel had a huge crush on him, even at the age of five. But, when he was ten, Harrison left town with his family never to be seen or heard from again, until the day he walked into the same bar as Raquel.
Two lost souls finally reunited- for one incredible night. They went separate ways and Harrison thought that was it.
Except it wasn’t.
When he found out he’d left a piece of himself behind, Harrison made plans to find Raquel and win her over, this time for good.
Watching this slow-burning story unfolding and reaching the best of endings was quite simply the happiest few hours of this week. It was love at first word for me with this story and the characters within it. I loved catching up with all the previous ‘Billionaires’ and their wives. I cried when it was over because I wanted it to go on and on. One-Click this happy, fun book today and grab some solace for yourself.
I LOVED this book! I know I say that about every single book this duo writes, but I really mean it this time! Loved Rocky and Harrison…every. thing. about them!! And I absolutely loved getting another look at the “billionaire crew”!! And of course a peek at Luca and Billie too!! Another ten star read from my favorite writing duo!
Overall Grade: 1/2
What the world needs now is love….nope. What you need is Max Monroe’s newest book, Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl. Especially in our current climate when escapism seems like an everyday need, this book proffers that escape. One thing you can always count on with a Max Monroe book is the laughs. With a cavalcade of recurring characters (I see you Thatch and Cap) who tickle your funny bone, a book such as Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl allows you a respite from the stress of wanting to commit the homicide of your loved ones due to quarantine or the inanity of the talking heads of our media. This book has everything you love about a Max Monroe book with some surprises, so here goes. These are the many reasons WHY this book should be your read tonight:
*To date, Kline Brooks has owned my heart as Max Monroe’s perfect reflection of a book boyfriend. In the first book in their first billionaire series, Tapping the Billionaire, Kline sets the bar high for the rest of their heroes. Yes, I love the zaniness of Thatch and the pragmatism and neuroticism of Wes (the OG billionaires). The next series of billionaires are all charming like the OG guys, but the “come from out of nowhere” hero to upend Kline Brooks from his pedestal is the newest hero of WHGG, Harrison Hughes. Talk about a shock. Other than someone who teases Caplin Hawkins and a potential suitor to his sister (c’mon, we knew it was Theo the whole time), Harrison Hughes is a shocking discovery. He was so unassuming UNTIL Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl where he wooed the heck out of Raquel “Rocky.” If you love a hero who is self-reflective, insightful, intelligent, socially responsible in his ideologies, and empowering, then you will fall for Harrison. He is probably the one hero in the MM universe who isn’t easily dissuaded from his heroine. I won’t tell you what causes the upending of their burgeoning relationship (we know this happens in MM’s books), but it takes a major plan of deceit for this to occur. Until that point, Harrison shows us a secure, astute, emotionally mature hero. And I. AM. HERE. FOR. THAT. and I suspect you are too.
*Unlike other Max Monroe books, the real focus of this book is Raquel. This is, in my opinion, one of their most layered heroines. Through her evolution, we are treated to the message of this book which I think is finding your own power from within yourself. In other words, self-confidence and self-knowledge are necessary for living an abundant life. While Raquel seems to “have it all,” we find out quickly that her life is very one-note. When Harrison enters her life, he adds in color and depth. He challenges her, and he helps her see that she holds control of her life. As he supports and acknowledges her needs, Raquel is able to bloom and finally realize what she wants from life. And I’ll let you guess what that is. Max Monroe’s characterization of Raquel, their evolution of her character, is the “meat” of their story, and it holds important lessons for their readers. We don’t have to be Hollywood Superstar actresses to be reminded that there is “life” in the word living, and we control how much “life” we put in it.
*I’m pretty sure the “villain” of this story is the worst person in Max Monroe’s world of billionaires. I will NOT divulge this character, as you should read this book, but I can’t think of another character in their books who I hated more than this character. Max Monroe craft her in such a way that you almost love to hate her/him. Thankfully, there is retribution and justice meted out in the story, so all is set right in the end.
*A surprise baby story ALWAYS makes for an interesting romance. As Raquel navigates the twisted world of Hollywood complete with a doting baby daddy, you can’t help but laugh and cry in equal part about the challenges and steps of their story. I will say that this story is a) a bit slow to build and b) a serious slow-burn. Obviously, there is an early physical interaction, but it takes AWHILE for Raquel and Harrison to couple up. Max Monroe build the suspense of their relationship so slowly that you almost throw your Kindle at the wall waiting for their hero and heroine to “get their s%it together.” Yet, it’s that chemistry and tension that keeps you chained (this is good) to their story. Additionally, the delineation of their chapters in this story is interesting. I would love to pop into their minds a bit to understand their choices. However, even though those choices seem strange to this reader, they have written a story that feels complete in the end.
I can never get enough of Max Monroe’s storytelling. I had been looking forward to Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl because I needed levity during a time of COVID and racial unrest. It isn’t meant to be used to hide from these challenges; instead, it feels like a respite from the world for just a bit of time. Offering up a hero such as Harrison, you can’t help but wish you had someone like him in your corner right now because you would know that there is someone who can help you through the challenges of your day, someone who sees your needs and offers your help to meet them. This solace coupled with the hilarity of Raquel and Harrison’s story is the perfect read for today…and tomorrow. If you are like me and looking for some levity, Max Monroe’s Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl is the perfect medicine.
Well there you have it folks, Max Monroe is back! My favorite trope in the whole wide world is a Rom-Com, and Max Monroe is one of the very few authors that can actually pull it off without even trying to. Max Monroe not only gave us the funny, they gave us a new take on a somewhat secret pregnancy. Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl was a great book, and seeing past characters made it that much more better.
The development between Harrison and Raquel was paced perfectly. The depth went deeper than I anticipated, but much appreciated. The dialogue was fluffing fantastic. The witty banter was to die for. The chemistry and the connection between Harrison and Raquel was tantalizing.
I have been anticipating Harrison’s story. He is everything I needed and more. For starters, he is hilarious with an amazing personality. He is open and honest, not afraid to be who he is. He is smart and patient, kind and understanding. A go getter that isn’t afraid to step out of the box.
Raquel is literally Hollywood’s Goodest Girl. A 29 year old virgin that the people love. She’s been in the show business for years, so rarely she gets time to herself. Inside, she is weird and dorky but overall she is kind and caring.
Hollywood’s Goodest Girl is where it’s at. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and can’t wait for the next book.
*I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK
Holly fluffing swoon!!! Kline Brooks has some competition. Harrison Hughes made me a puddle on more than one occasion. He rolled with the punches and handled life in Hollywood head on, but the way he treats Raquel is everything! He treats her with so much respect and looks out for her even if it means sacrificing himself. Raquel is so endearing. When she finally found her backbone, I swear I stood up and cheered. Harrison brought out the best in her. Raquel and Harrison each gave each other something they both were missing…A family!
Oh and the best part about Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl, the billionaire gang we all know and love and even if you haven’t met the rest of the crew yet, you will love them!
I just love everything the writing duo that is Max Monroe gives us!
Ooh, La, la! Max Monroe took us on trip with these two characters. Luckily, a few old ones popped in for an even better read. Both Harrison and Rocky were easy to love. In fact, it was hard to stop reading their story once started. Rocky is an amazing and fierce lady. Someone I’d enjoy being friends with in real-life. And, Harrison has qualities of character that every woman wants in a man. Max Monroe delivered another fabulous, funny, and swoon-worthy read!
Harrison was almost perfect and a nominee for sainthood to put up with Raquel and her stupid manager. He’s the main reason that I gave the book 4 stars. Harrison freaking Hughes is giving Kline Brooks a run for his money as the swooniest best character ever in the history of books. Harrison is on his heels but there is no one and I mean no one better than Kline big dick Brooks. Well I wasn’t a fan of Raquel’s. I found her to be a overly childish dishonest coward for to much of the book Raquel’s inability to take control of her life and career instead of being a puppet with her passive aggressive behavior annoyed the hell out of me. I’ve never had such a visceral reaction to one of Max Monroe characters but even by the end of the book I still didn’t like Raquel because she had already burned her bridges with me. Besides Harrison it made me laugh and smile to have appearances from some of my beloved characters. I always love having the crazy group of friends show up in other books. The ladies are still my favorite authors. Until next time y’all happy reading.
Harrison and Raquel’s story was so fun to read, I was immersed from the first chapter and got going until the end, this was a slow-burn so you needed to get through it all, I laughed and swoon at times and got my heartbreak on others, great emotional rollercoaster ride that I am sure you will enjoy. Fantastic read!
Max Monroe does it again!!! I absolutely loved Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl!!
In the staring roles we have one of Hollywood’s leading lady, and sexy virgin, Raquel and Harrison, the hot AF CFO of HawCom. Their story started 25 years ago when they were but youngins. They haven’t seen each other since they were 5 and 9 but fate seemed to put them together again, boy do they reconnect!! Surprise….it really does only take one time to make a baby!! Harrison is beyond swoony and wants to wants to be there for Raquel every step the way. To say she has abandonment issues is putting it mildly. If you read Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy, you know Luca is her brother who she hasn’t heard from in 8 years, and that’s after their parents abandoned both of them. Does Harrison let her walls stand? Not a chance! Best HEA!!
I’d be remiss if I don’t mention the supporting cast. You know that group of billionaire’s. I swear I had tears running down my cheeks, I was laughing so freaking hard.
Another great romcom storyline from Max Monroe. Harrison is absolutely SWOON WORTHY! Loved the chemistry between Harrison and Rocky. The banter will keep you laughing and hooked until the end. The supporting cast is fantastic and a great addition to the book.
I’m totally obsessed with Max Monroe so I drop everything when they have a new book coming out so I can read it. This one had some of my favorite MM characters of all time (*sigh* Thatch and Cap *sigh*).
This book had me laughing so hard. It’s the perfect escape from everything. I had all the fun of the billionaire book club and all the glitz and glamour or Hollywood.
This duo really knows how to write a character that you absolutely love but also ones that you hate so much that you can’t wait to see them get their comeuppance. I expected some Hollywood drama and I definitely got it. I can’t wait to visit this crazy crew again!
I know I know I say it everytime that the last book I read from Max Monroe is my favourite, but it’s true every single book is my favourite. These books will have you laughing your butt off, and swooning. And swooning hard core for the leading man in the story. And this one is absolutely NO different. Harrison is wow! He is everything I have pictured him to be in the other stories. And the way he picks up his life and moves for Raquel and the baby, makes you smile and giddy. These two have instant chemistry, now they just need to get to know eachother a bit better before the surprise baby makes an appearance. Another 5 plus star review for Max Monroe
Remember when I said that Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy (THBB) was my favorite Max Monroe book? Nope, I was wrong. Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl is my new favorite Max Monroe book. It’s not just because the female lead, Raquel “Rocky” Weaver, is Luca Weaver sister (from THBB), it’s because she found her voice in this story. She learned that she could stand up for herself, even if it was with a little help from Harrison Hughes. Alright, I’m getting ahead of myself.
Rocky Weaver and Harrison Hughes met as children. Harrison and Luca (from THBB) used to play together, while little Rocky trailed behind them. Then Harrison’s family moved to New York when he was around 10. Fast forward about 24 years, to a dark bar where Harrison is drowning his lousy evening and Rocky found refuge after running away from her team of handlers. After playing catch up, without Rocky even mentioning she was on her way to becoming Hollywood’s It Gal, they end up getting soaked in the rain on the way back to his place, since she didn’t want to go back to hers. And then one thing leads to another leads to a lot of naked something…
I love that when Harrison found out that Rocky was pregnant, he turns his whole life upside down and relocates to Los Angeles to be closer to her and the baby without even asking her. He tries to become a fixture in her life, but does not try to takeover. That’s the last thing Rocky needs, with her Manager creating a fake relationship for her, so not to pull Harrison into Rocky’s spotlight.
As Awards Season unfolds, so do the many obstacles while pregnant in the spotlight, with a fake relationship and a Manager who’s only looking out for herself and not her client. When things come to an ugly head, Harrison retreats back to New York, thinking he lost Rocky and the baby to her career. With the help of the boys (yes, those Billionaire Boys ~ Kline, Thatch, Wes, Cap, Theo, etc.), Harrison is determined to get to the bottom of it all, when Rocky surprises him, at 9 months pregnant, on his doorstep.
To find out what happens, you need to read this book. I can honestly say that I would have never thought that I would love a surprise pregnancy book so much. But then again, it is from the extraordinary minds of Max Monroe, so what’s not to like…
Harrison and Raquel’s story was amazing! I love Max Monroe! Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl was sweet, funny, and has all the feels! This is an interconnected stand-alone. The H and h are from two different series and I LOVE THAT! Everything about this book is amazing! FIVE STARS!!!
Another swoon worthy and hilarious hit for Max Monroe. I could gush about this book for days but I’ll try to keep things short and sweet. Harrison and Raquel together are absolute MAGIC! He is the perfect blend of laid back and alpha. He’ll leave you a swooning mess. I promise. Raquel is wonderful, if not a little frustrating at times. Despite being a Hollywood starlet, she’s never been encouraged to have confidence in herself which made it easy for her to be a bit of a push over when it comes to her career and her entourage. You feel bad for her because these people have essentially taken over her life (seriously, you’ll want to throat punch a few of them) but at the same time you want to shake her for not standing up for herself. It makes for a bit of an emotional roller coaster for these two but by the end of the ride you’re deliriously happy and can’t wait for what will come next. I honestly have not met a Max Monroe couple that I haven’t fallen absolutely in love with. Harrison and Raquel are no exception.
Hilarious and steamy, sign me up!
If you’ve never read Max Monroe before, you are doing yourself a disservice. No matter what story you read, you fall in love with the characters, get a stomachache from laughing, and love every minute of it. This can easily be read as a standalone, but if you are a faithful reader, you will definitely see some old faces, which makes it that much better.
Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl follows Rocky and Harrison, friends from when they were kids, lost touch, and met each other on a horrible night they turned around. Lo and behold, they find out they will be parents together, and comedy and heart commences. I loved these two, so much passion, so much respect. I definitely would want to be part of their lives. Don’t miss this one!
I loved the story and the LOL moments but I just didn’t like Rocky that much. I loved Harrison a lot. I don’t know why me and Rocky aren’t that close as friends as me and Cassie but there was just something missing. I had to scream at her a lot and I understand why she does the things she does because of how she was raised and because of how she was treated. I just wished she made some other choices sooner.
Well, that was adorable! Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl is the second in the Hollywood series, but it also could be included in the Billionaire series, yet still a standalone. The main characters from this story were Raquel, Luca’s sister from Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy, and Harrison, who we’ve seen in many of the Billionaire books. As it turns out, Raquel and Harrison were childhood friends, who lost touch with each other, and as fate would have it, they run into each other at a bar on a rainy night in NYC. Raquel is a huge celebrity and also an almost thirty-year old virgin. Harrison is a sweet billionaire who is completely unconnected from Hollywood. Their one-night stand shockingly results in a pregnancy. They both go back to their separate lives immediately following that one night. But, with all the cameras frequently on Raquel, her pregnancy doesn’t go unnoticed by anyone, including Harrison. They reconnect and begin a relationship. But, being a celebrity comes with all kinds of extra drama.
The characters were perfect. You couldn’t not love them. They were both so sweet, innocent and wanting to do the right thing. There are also some secondary characters that you will probably recognize, if you’ve read any of Max Monroe’s books. It alternates between present and the one-night stand night. The story kept my interest throughout, had me laughing and swooning. It was sugary sweet and a perfect addition to the Hollywood series. Looking forward to the next book in the series!
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Okay. Every time Max Monroe comes out with a new book, they somehow manage to top their previous release. Harrison is *beyond* swoony, and is by far my favorite Max Monroe hero (sorry Thatch). Raquel’s character arc is just perfection and she and Harrison together are magic! This one is definitely a must read.
I’ve really enjoyed this book. Another funny heartwarming story that will melt every heart!
Raquel is Hollywood’s golden girl and cannot do anything wrong but one night will change everything in its course. Now trying to get through the media blitz and adjusting to her new life, the one thing she never saw coming was the one person she thought she’d ever see again… Harrison can’t get Raquel out of his head and when he finds out what happened after their one night, he’ll do whatever it takes to be by her side.
