Top 20 Amazon BestsellerRaquel and Harrison sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G.First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes a baby in the baby carriage. That’s how her brother used to sing it when we were kids—a simple ploy to get under my skin and make me stick my fist in his face—but man oh man, did he get the order wrong. One night of “kissing” in New York catapulted us straight to the … “kissing” in New York catapulted us straight to the pregnancy portion of the song—surprise!—and now I have to figure out how to carry out the whole melody in reverse.
A baby on the way first.
Then love and marriage?
It’s complicated on its best day.
But our situation is far more problematic than just a simple twist of nursery rhyme lyrics. Before our night together, Raquel Weaver was the best-known good girl in Hollywood—a twenty-nine-year-old innocent beauty whom the world adored and watched like a hawk.
Obviously, the consequences of that kind of reputation don’t just go away. Add in pregnancy hormones, the media, a fake fiancé, and a selfish manager, and you have the short list of my problems.
As a thirty-four-year-old, successful CFO of a multibillion-dollar media conglomerate, I thought I would be able to handle anything show business could throw my way, but I’m starting to think I might be in over my head.
Good thing I’m all in.
Winning Hollywood’s goodest girl is going to take everything I’ve got.

This book was well written and there was a great relationship between Harrison and Raquel. I wish that there had been some rearranging with the order of the chapters and some clarification of events in the beginning. Harrison was amazing and the perfect guy.
What would you do if you found out, on national television, that you were going to be a father??? AND, that your baby mama was actually Hollywood’s ‘goodest girl,’ not only a highly successful actress but one know to the public as being nothing but sweet and pure.
What I found most interesting about Harrison is just how oblivious he is to any part of society, outside his media conglomerate. That’s not to say that people aren’t out of the loop when it comes to celebrities and gossip, but I wondered how he was that far away from anything dealing with Hollywood. What I appreciated about him was that when he finally saw Raquel on television and realized he was going to be a father, he stepped up and stepped out and never let himself get derailed from what he wanted to do, regardless of how many times, Raquel’s ‘team’ tried to push him away.
I had a bit of a hot and cold relationship with Raquel, but that was mainly because of how little control she seemed to have over her own life. It was clearly, early on, just how duplicitous Raquel’s manager was and for being 29 years old and a veteran of the industry, I didn’t understand why she still allowed her life to be dictated by someone who clearly didn’t have her best interests in mind.
One aspect I struggled with a bit is the fact that it felt a bit overloaded with tropes: fake fiancé, virginal heroine, secret baby, and childhood rivals/friends. All of them are used throughout the book, which made it a bit difficult to focus on one aspect of the plot line because it felt like there was too many to juggle.
Regardless, though, you can never go wrong with a Max Monroe romcom, especially when there are a few cameos from some of readers’ favorite Max Monroe heroes and anytime I can get more Thatch in my life, I’m all for it. Plus, the chemistry between Raquel and Harrison resonated from the pages and it was clear that he would take care of her way better than anyone had been up to this point.

This is the second book of the Hollywood Series, and a spin-off of the amazing Bad Boy Billionaires and Billionaire Collection Series, with interconnected characters. OMG! This story is hilarious, sweet, heartwarming, and beautiful. This is a perfect summer read. Raquel (Rocky) and Harrison are both beautiful characters. Rocky is lovely, and strong. Harrison is handsome, caring and supportive. Rocky is Luca’s sister from Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy, the first book in the Series. She is a lovely character. Harrison is handsome, billionaire, caring and protective. I loved to follow them in their journey. The supporting characters are great, of course! I loved to see again the characters from the intertwined Series. I loved the Game Night with all of these characters! Now, I feel the need to read these Series AGAIN. Looking forward to read the first book in the Hollywood Series, Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy, Luca’s story. Max Monroe never disappoints! I enjoyed it, and I highly recommend it.
Move over Kline Brooks! Harrison Hughes is in town and he stole the dang show. He was hard working and smart. Funny and kind. Just an all around good guy who got the shock of his life watching tv one night. He had to work his connections and magic and charm to finally get face to face with Raquel again but it was so worth the effort.
I loved how he saw Rocky, the person, not Raquel the persona. And when she was struggling with everything she was trying to juggle, he built her up, calmed her anxiety and fears. He defended her and gave her a safe place to land. In turn, she gave him something he never had, love without conditions.
Of course it wouldn’t be a Max Monroe book without all the other billionaires making an appearance. And trust me- they pop up a plenty BUT!!! so do the wives. Throw a meddling, up to no good someone into the mix and it was a recipe for the drama that neither of them wanted. I hated that they went through that but I loved the bold move to try and set things right…Full of friendship and self discovery, Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl is another super fun read in a long line of rom-com genius.
I absolutely adored Max Monroe’s “Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl,” a cute, sweet, and laugh-out-loud funny story featuring endearing, well-developed characters and a tremendously fun plot. Honestly, this was one of the funniest books I’ve read in quite some time, but it was also incredibly heartwarming. Main characters Raquel (aka “Rocky”) and Harrison didn’t have much in the way of biological family, but the way they came together to create their own family was lovely.
My favorite part of this book was Rocky’s character development as she regained the confidence to stand up for herself and take control of her life and career choices. The dynamic between her and her manager, Heidi, seemed pretty toxic from the start, and it seemed to me that someone really needed to remind Heidi that Rocky was the boss, not the other way around. Until Harrison came along with his outsider’s perspective and constant support, however, Rocky didn’t seem to have the motivation or courage she needed to stand up for herself and take back control of her life. When she finally found her voice and stood up to Heidi, I wanted to cheer! Rocky deserved so much better than to be treated like someone’s meal ticket, and it seemed that all Heidi cared about was how much money Rocky could earn for her.
I also loved the bromance between Harrison and his book club/poker buddies, especially Caplin (aka “Cap”), his “male life partner”/best friend. Those guys and their wives almost stole the show in a few scenes and made me anxious to go back and read their stories. I get the impression that some of them were pretty wild!
Overall, this was such a fun story, and I highly recommend it for all fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. I wouldn’t be surprised if this book lands on my “favorites of 2020” list. I can’t wait to get my hands on Max Monroe’s next release!

Harrison and Rocky- a chance reuniting on a night both could use something good in their lives – leads them on a wild, amazing, life-changing ride. Can be read as a stand alone, but would be so much better if you were a part of the Billionaire Book Club. Book is laugh out loud, filled with swoony moments, and makes you want to cut a b**ch. I want to be a part of this tribe so bad! Max Monroe – keep them coming!
“I’ve missed you, Rock.” I admit the full truth, not holding back anymore. “This week, especially. But if I’m honest, I’ve missed being alone with you since the moment you left my apartment…in New York…in August.”
I loved this book so much I could not wait to meet Rocky when she was introduced in Lucas book. I wanted to know why she didn’t answer the phone.
Rocky is not only a Hollywood starlet but she’s also known as the virgin sex goddess. Everyone knows she’s pure and they all love it. She plays bad girls on the silver screen but is pure.
She is tired of her life and everything that comes with being the sexy virgin. Rocky wants to be normal to feel loved to not worry about who is trying to use her to get ahead. One night of pure joy changes her life forever. Now the whole world knows she’s not a virgin and she’s pregnant…
Harrison literally has no idea his Rocky is The famous virgin. One night makes him consider doing more in life than just making money. He wants a family and now he has one handed to him. Only one problem she’s Hollywood’s sweetheart.
This book was just perfect I loved everything about it! Harrison is the best of the billionaires I know I know we all love Thatch. Harrison is sweeter than all of them. This man is swooney, broody, sexy, rich, and will do anything for Rocky. Max Monroe takes book boyfriends to a whole new level. These men make everyone want to get married. I loved this book. The Hollywood series is so good and it crosses over to all our favorite Billionaires. A must read!
This was by far one of my favorite storyline. I LOVED Harrison as the alpha tender daddy. Quick whit and 100% dedicated to Raquel and making sure she was comfortable, secure, and owning her own life.
Raquel lacked many things but for some reason it was as if certain words or action triggered her backbone. Those were my best times with her. She always knew what she wanted she just had to open up her eyes and understand what was going on in front of her. Being okay with the flow was not working in her favor. But again she got there and never looked back.
Shout out to Cap for coming through for the five times. I enjoyed his role and business hat in this. A+ Cap-i-tain….
I need to start this review off by letting you know that had it not been for Max Monroe that my poor sanity (or what little bit is left of it) would not have made it this far into the pandemic. I had read Tapping The Billionaire many moons ago when it was released but for some reason (you know… life) I did not continue reading after that.
When the pandemic hit, I knew the best outlet would be for me to be reading. However, reading anything heavy was out of the question. Remembering how much fun I had reading Tapping The Billionaire, I started to binge Max Monroe’s catalog.
Y’all. These books literally saved my life. I honestly do not know how I would have made it this far without Max Monroe’s catalog to get me through the beginning of this dumpster fire we are all in. So obviously when I saw they would be releasing a new book, Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl, I jumped all over it immediately.
Max Monroe did an amazing job with Harrison and Raquel’s story! Now, if you have not read Max Monroe’s previous books – not to worry – this book can TOTALLY be read as a standalone. Now are you missing out by not reading the previous books? 10,000%!! But you will not be completely lost if you have not.
Harrison is just about everything you want in a hero. He is absolutely one of Max Monroe’s swooniest heroes to date. He’s kind, considerate, strong and if we are to go by Raquel’s description – very umm.. equipped. He seriously stops at nothing to win Raquel over and make sure they are forming a team together.
Speaking of “teams”.. It was very hard to relate to Raquel because she is so use to everyone looking out for their best interest rather than her own that she really does not know how to handle Harrison for the most part. Her Hollywood “team” does everything for the image of Raquel rather then for the person Raquel. It’s very hard for her to suddenly put herself first and be accepting of Harrison’s intentions of making her a priority.
Overall this book was amazing but I have come to expect nothing less from Max Monroe.
4 stars!!
I loved Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl. The storyline has its own unique take on the unplanned pregnancy trope and it was not at all what I expected. The surprises are entertaining and I couldn’t wait to see how everything unfolds. It is so much fun and full of so much heart, and I quickly became invested in the characters.
Raquel Weaver, is the sister of Luca, the hero in Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy, and a Hollywood star who is constantly in the spotlight not only because of her wonderful acting ability but because she is also a virgin. Harrison, is a hardworking, successful business man who grew up having never watched much TV. He knows very little when it comes to celebrities and he has no idea that his friend “Rocky” from his childhood is actually the Hollywood starlet, Raquel. So, when they bump into each other years after having lost touch as children, they have a great time catching up and end up spending an unforgettable night together. They part ways in the morning and it’s not until the world realizes that Raquel is sporting a baby bump that Harrison discovers who she is and what resulted in their passionate night together. What follows is a wonderful surprise pregnancy, friends-to-lovers romance that will make you laugh, swoon, and fall in love.
“Life’s a mess,” Harrison says. “But there’s art in all the splatters.”
Harrison and Rocky are as wonderful individually as they are together. They are endearing and lovable, and I liked them from the start. Rocky has been in the industry since she was a child and its shaped the way she’s grown up. Stardom hasn’t been easy but she’s dealt with it the best way she can. There were times I was frustrated with her but she has a lot of character growth in this story and I loved watching her realize her strength.
I absolutely adored Harrison. He is such a great hero and to me, he really steals the show. I love that he knows what he wants and goes after it. He would do anything for Rocky and the baby and he has such a big heart. He is compassionate and kind, constantly putting Rocky and the baby first, and I just swooned every moment he was there.
The media attention and the “villains” are well thought out and even when I wanted to scream when things weren’t going my way, I enjoyed seeing things develop between Harrison and Rocky. There is enough drama to keep you on your toes but nothing is over the top.
I loved the way the story flashes between the past and the present. I enjoyed seeing the night evolve and how it affects them, as well as how they connect now that they are faced with the unplanned pregnancy. I thought their relationship was well paced, their connection felt real, and their feelings are believable. They are just so much fun together and they constantly put a smile on my face.
“We are in control of our own destiny.
Whether it’s a plan we’ve had forever or a plan we never saw coming—it doesn’t matter.
All I know is I sure as hell picked a good one.”
Overall, Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl is a fantastic addition to the Hollywood series and another rom com hit. Harrison and Rocky stole my heart and I loved their story. And of course I have to give a shout out to all of the secondary characters whom I have loved for a while. Kline, Thatch, Wes, and Cap, their wives and more are very present in this story, and they are as fantastic and hilarious as ever. I love them and they always bring on the fun. I can never get enough of this gang!
It’s been a while since I’ve read a Max Monroe book (I own all, but just haven’t had time to read them). But I’m glad I picked this one up and dove in. Harrison and Rocky (Raquel) make a fantastic couple. Loved everything about them. Harrison is in the lead for the best book boyfriend ever. Some of the best moments have to be when Thatch and Cap text Rocky. Don’t wanna spoil anything, so that’s all I’m going to say about that. And I can say without a doubt, I hate Heidi.
If you love Rom-Com, you really need to pick up this book.
This is just so good! You can never go wrong with Max Monroe!
Harrison’s just so sweet and more! He uprooted his whole life just to be with Raquel and his baby, even though the way he found out he’s going to be a father through the TV. That just shows how selfless, dedicated, caring and supportive he is. You can’t help but swoon over him, he got me swooning throughout the book with everything he do for Raquel even though they’re not in a romantic relationship.
Raquel, at first, I need to get used to her. I didn’t like how she let her employees control her especially Heidi. I hate Heidi with my whole being. I don’t know why she put up with her BS and snide remarks. I just want to shake her and make her fire Heidi right there and then.
Though this is a slow-burn, there is plenty of chemistry and attraction between Harrison and Raquel throughout the book, right from the beginning. There’s a perfect mix of laughter and swoony feels in this one. Obviously, the billionaire guys from previous books made their appearance and it’s never not hilarious with them. You can always depend on them to make you laugh!
This is a MUST read!
Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl – Max Monroe
Another winning read from the dynamic authoring duo, Max Monroe.
The second in this new Hollywood series where we meet Raquel and Harrison.
They’ve know each other since childhood and when they rekindle the friendship after many years, there’s a little surprise awaiting them.
Some brilliant chemistry and the ever present Max Monroe humour and wit will not leave you wanting….. just wanting more of the same.
Prime appearances from the Billionaires series characters, as always, injects their charm and charisma.
Loved the story, characters and the seamless storyline. Loving this new series and I’m always ready for more stories from Max Monroe.
It has been a long time since I finished a book in one sitting! I did just that with Max Monroe newest one! I am obsessed with Rocky and Harrison. I loved everything about these two. Harrison is such a knight in shining armour to me. They way he looks out for Rocky and tries to make her happy. And make sure she is taken care of is so swoon worthy! Rocky’s Hollywood life is far from the norm and really crazy. I love how she is with Harrison and I enjoy seeing how empowered she becomes. I love their story and I become emotionally invested so freaking quick. They are the kind of couple you just want to root for and for them to fall in love and get their happily ever after. I was happy for them, angry for them and just plain engulfed by them. Add in the fact we get to see the Billionaire gang and this book is pretty freaking perfect. This is probably in my top 3 of Max Monroe reads…and for the record I’ve read all of their books. Seriously you need this in your life!
3.5-3.75 stars. This is a cute book! Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl is set in the world of the Billionaire Book Club. This is Harrison and Raquel/Rocky’s story. Rocky is the younger sister of Luca, from Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy. She is a former child star turned Hollywood actress. She is also known for being a “good girl” and a lot is made of her virginity in the press. Harrison was her childhood neighbor who she lost touch with. She happens to run back into him at a bar in New York on a work trip. He recognizes her as his childhood friend, but has no idea she is now a big movie star. Rocky loves that she can be her true self with him. They share an attraction and a wild night together, where she loses her virginity to him, although he has no idea. Afterwards, they go their separate ways, with Rocky returning to her life in Hollywood. So, Harrison is shocked when, a few months later, he sees Rocky on tv and the news is that she is no longer a virgin and is pregnant! He immediately wants to be a part of his child’s life. Spending time together preparing for parenthood leads to love between the couple, and an HEA.
I thought this was a fun, cute, light story. We are only told in flashbacks about Harrison and Rocky’s night together. After Harrison finds out about the pregnancy, he is determined to be an involved father. The two spend time together and get to know each other more, becoming friends and then beginning a relationship. They have a very slow burn relationship progression, without very much chemistry, which continues most of the book. I liked Rocky and Harrison okay, but both very a little timid. Rocky lets her manager and the rest of her professional team walk all over her throughout the book. She does grow a backbone eventually, but it took quite a while. Harrison is a very nice guy. He knows he wants to be a father to Rocky’s baby, but he grows to want a romantic relationship with her, as well. But he is not pushy or very alpha about how he goes about winning her favor. Rocky is a lonely woman and not at all a diva. She really needed Harrison and his friends to help bring her a more full, less work focused life. I liked them both okay, but didn’t totally love their characters. I did think it was a little far-fetched that Harrison recognized an adult Rocky as the 5 year old neighbor he remembered, when he ran into her at the bar. I also didn’t really like the villain storyline or all of the trouble they caused. I wanted to see them get their just desserts, but it is only vaguely mentioned in the epilogue. Still, I liked the fun story and surprise pregnancy is one of my fave tropes.
Overall, this is an entertaining, easy read. I was happy that Harrison and Rocky came together and made a sweet little family. I am still a fan of this series and look forward to more from Max Monroe in the future!
Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl by Max Monroe is a new standalone about a billionaire and the woman that brings him to his knees. Harrison and Raquel had one night of fun and that should have been it, right? Instead what follows will make you laugh and swoon. Raquel is known as the good girl in Hollywood and is likable. Harrison is not sure he is ready for a family, but he wants to be a good dad. He is caring and ready to do what it takes. Can they find a way to blend their lives to move forward? I loved reading Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl by Max Monroe. It was fun, delightful and a bit emotional. A great story to get lost in!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
Max Monroe does it again‼ This book has all the feels….love, commitment, steam, fun, angst, support, romance and much much drama. You’ll fall in love with the heroine, Raquel (Rocky) and swoon all over the place for the hero, Harrison! An unexpected hot night with a virgin childhood friend results in an even more unexpected pregnancy and the story unfolds surprisingly. You’ll feel it all as these two magnificent characters navigate their way through the muddy waters of Hollywood, celebrity, love and becoming parents. This is a super great read and it will take you on a very unique journey that isn’t found in most books. Jump in with both feet and meet Harrison & Rocky today! Don’t miss this highly recommended book by two incredible authors‼‼‼
I absolutely loved and devoured this book. As always, I could not wait for the next Max Monroe book to release. This one does NOT disappoint. As usual, you will find your self occasionally laughing out loud. Be prepared!
Harrison is amazing. From the get go he wants to do the right thing. He takes extreme measures to see Raquel. Harrison was the final single man in his incredible groups of friends. He really shows how grown up and mature he is. He may just be my new favorite and that is saying a lot. He is about to embark on the wildest ride of his lifetime. Can he win over Hollywood’s goodest girl?
Rocky is also amazing. She is the perfect heroine with the chaotic life that most would die for. Her life does not make it easy for Harrison and her to communicate and attempt to work things out. The spotlight definitely has more downs then ups it seems. Rocky is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Can she let Harrison break down her walls and show her that not everyone leaves?
I will say there is a particular assistant that you will absolutely despise, however, that makes the story all the better.
READ THIS BOOK NOW! You will not regret it.
I am a HUGE fan of Max Monroe and I might be one of the few but this wasn’t a five star book for me for once. I did love Harrison and Raquel but his constant pandering to her teams wishes and her constant going along with what her team wants irritated me to no end. I mean come on you are the one paying the bills, the boss, the star, own that shit and stop going with everything they say. There were quite a few times that I just wanted to be done because I couldn’t deal with her. I did however love seeing my favorite characters from previous stories. There hilarious wisdom and banter just made the book one I would keep reading.
The virginal actess princess suddenly ends up pregnant. Imagine Harrison’s surprise when his one night with an old friend has managed to turn his life around. Even bigger of a surprise??? She was a virgin and a famous actress. Now how to handle all that has been thrown at him and how to be a part of the baby’s life. Might be harder than he expected considering her team are a bunch of vipers.
This is still a good story and one that I am sure many will love. I am not a push over and I get tired of books where the female lead is one until she finally finds her backbone so don’t let me stop you for sure. I would still recommend this book for sure.
Max Monroe did it again! If you love romantic comedy and a swoon-worthy leading man this book is for you! Even though this is the second book in the Hollywood series, it is a complete stand alone. The fact that Harrison and Rocky knew each other as kids made their adventure more interesting as they got to know each other again after several years and a one night stand that results in a surprise pregnancy. And to increase the comedy level, it is complete with cameo’s by Harrison’s billionaire friends and their crazy antics. Definitely another hit by Max Monroe!
