A crime with no eyewitnesses. A determined psychic sleuth. Will her search for clues take her where angels fear to tread? Mitzy Moon is eager to test her expanding abilities. Desperate for any hint, she goes undercover at the high school and lands on the wrong side of the law by lunch. And her “get out of jail free card” comes with the help of her meddling Grams, an interfering feline, and her alchemically inclined attorney. I really love the characters and story in this book. Mitzy Moon is psychic and wants to help when her local vet is the victim of a hit and run. At around the same time a house is robbed of an article precious to the owner. Mitzy gets the feeling that the two events are connected. Meanwhile Mitzy is romantically pursued by a handsome antiques dealer, who may or may not be after her rare books collection. Following a clue, Mitzy goes undercover at the local high school, with disastrous results. All is sorted with the help of her alchemist lawyer.
Book three to this fun moving Mitzy series was tons of fun. I adored the story and getting to know more of the towns eccentric great people.
As usual I loved this book my only complaint is it seemed shorter than the last 3 but that’s probably because I can’t get enough of the characters in this book especially Mitzy and ghostma Isadora. I’m loving how it’s going with Mitzy’s love life. Nothing like a trio storyline, that last chapter was interesting and promising. I hope sheriff Erick makes a move soon. Looking forward to the next book. Maybe Mitzy will have to make a choice, but my vote is for Sheriff Erick. They’d make a great sleuthing team if he’d stop accusing her of murder. Can’t wait!

This is the third book in this series, and I have to say, I think it just keeps getting better. This book was a little different than the first two as it didn’t so much deal with solving a murder, but more investigation into other crimes. I felt that this premise was a nice change of pace and kept things fresh and interesting.
Besides an entertaining storyline, I also really enjoy Mitzy as a character. I feel like she is growing so much, not just responsibly, but emotionally, and I think that is important because it allows the reader to feel that connection. She has always been likable and fun, but I think she is so much more than that, and I can’t wait to see where she ends up next. I also enjoyed the dynamic of a possible love triangle to amp up the drama and give the story room to move.
Overall, I think this series is wonderful, and this book, in general, was fantastic. It was unique, funny, and engaging. It could be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading them all because they are great reads.
Very entertaining and enjoyable! As good as the first two. Thoroughly enjoy the personal interactions, though it makes me wonder if they will ever get together.
With each new book in this series my love for the residents Pin Cherry Harbor grows. For me the best part about the series is the relationship Mitzy forms with each character – Grams, Silas, Pye, Odell, Twiggy, Tally. For most of her life Mitzy didn’t really have a family, but when she inherited her deceased grandmother’s bookshop that all changed. In Pin Cherry Harbor you do not have to be blood-related to be family.
Mitzy Moon is spunky and sassy, but also very vulnerable. She “wears her heart on her sleeve. She has “gifts” that are slowly being discovered and nurtured by her Ghost-Ma and alchemist attorney Silas.
The first two books in the series revolved around a murder. I was a bit concerned thinking that is the murders continued at that rate there would be few residents left and tourists would avoid the town. So it was a relief to find this book did not have a murder but still had a case for Mitzy to crack. A hit-and-run and a theft put Mitzy once again in the path of Sheriff “Too Hot to Handle” Harper as she does her own investigation (with the help of Pye).
This being Mitzy’s first winter in Pin Cherry Harbor, she encountered quite a few challenges with which I could totally relate. Being from the South it reminded me of my first winter in Omaha. Learning the proper attire to wear (thank goodness Grams can help her there), trying to drive in the snow, even worse is walking on icy ground. And Mitzy isn’t the most graceful of people (again I relate). I had lots of flashbacks to my own expressions but it still made me laugh.
I was a bit disappointed to read that Grams is not the plump little old lady I had envisioned. While she died in her early thirties, she chose her own “ghost-age” of thirty-five. I just can’t juxtapose that image with her characteristics described in the book.
Rory Bombay is back and is now giving Sheriff Harper some competition. I don’t quite know what to make of him. To me he is sleazy but Mitzy likes him. It will be interesting to find out what direction their relationship will take.
I look forward to Book #4 and highly recommend this series to those who enjoy a light mystery with lots of heart and humor.
Wings and Broken Things is by far my favourite in the Mitzy Moon series.
It’s a who done it wrapped around a boys never-ending love for his mother who has passed away.
Mitzy must solve the case of a hit and run and theft. Mixing this with her dipping her toes into the romance pool leads to more questions than answers.
As usual she has the help from Grams, Silas and Pye.
This series is becoming a fast favourite of mine.
I have just finished listening to the audio version. I enjoyed every minute of Mitzy’s adventure, as the characters are brought to life by Colleen Marlo. Very well narrated.
Buy it and you won’t be disappointed.
From the first book in this series, it became my favorite witch cozy. However, they just keep getting better as the characters and setting continue gaining vibrant life. If you like quirky characters, witty banter, good mystery, try the Mitzy Moon series by Trixie Silvertale!
Mitzy has only been in Pin Cherry Harbor a few months but the people there have become her family. True she has her ghost-ma, who shares the bookstore with her, and her father but so many more have become precious to her.
Though she hasn’t gotten as close to her crush, the sheriff, as she would like! In fact other than butting into is investigations and solving more than a few. Just as often though, he has arrested her for the crimes before she solves them. Thank goodness she inherited her grandmother’s lawyer along with everything else.
When beloved local vet is the victim of a hit and run, Mitzy just has to investigate! What sort of trouble will she get into this time? Even though the sheriff hasn’t responded to her interest in him, someone else has their eye on Mitzy. Will competition spark Sheriff Erick’s desires at last?
Mitzy gets more entangled in a number of unfortunate situations this time and it makes me wonder how she is going to get out of all these entanglemsnts. At least she has Ghost-ma and Silas for support but is that going to be enough to keep her out of jail? I am so in love with Mitzy and her gang I can’t hardly wait for book four. Another terrific read!
Trixie’s series just keeps getting better and better! It’s a series readers of all ages will love! Mitzy is a thorn in the side of the sheriff again as she just has to investigate the disappearance of a statue and a hit and run of the local town veterinary doctor. She wants the sheriff to take notice of her but it seems it’s always the wrong way.

Merry Christmas Mitzy, Grams, Pyewacket and the gang! May 2020 continue to bring you the joy of the season and maybe two beaus for Mitzy to choose between!!
Wings and Broken Things is an amazing book! I loved it! The mystery is engaging and interesting. I absolutely love the characters. Mitzy is wonderful, as is her Ghost-ma and Silas. The interactions between the characters are so fun. This book is fun, interesting and humorous. I love everything about this book. It is impossible to put down.
I was given an advanced copy of this book for and honest review. I have to say that I love this series and that this book was the best one so far. It made me laugh and cry it was so good.
There’s no murder this time . . .
But there was a theft, and the thief saw another crime in progress.
And Mitzi – much to Sheriff Harper’s chagrin – is on the case!
And . . . what does Rory Bombay have up his sleeve? Mitzi has her work cut out for her in more ways than one in this third entry to the Mitzi Moon Collection! An intriguing mystery, with characters near and dear to my heart. Always a page-turner; the engaging inhabitants of Pin Cherry Harbor draw you in to yet another mystifying event.
Silvertale has done it again. This is a great read that I highly recommend!
[I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author, and am leaving an honest review of the book. The opinions expressed herein are entirely my own.]
Mitzy comes to the rescue again. Erick needs to man up and become the alpha he needs to be. Mitzy is a fun person to follow around and get to the bottom of this hit and run. She is becoming more at home in this small town. It will be interesting to see where the author goes with Mitzy and Erick. This one was a sad reason things happened.
*I received a free copy of this book via Hidden Gems and am voluntarily leaving a review.*
I Love this series. Each book is better than the last. Every time I read one of Trixie Silvertale’s books I’m surprised and delighted! Wings and Broken Things is an amazing book! The mystery is engaging and interesting. This is the third book in this series, and I have to say, I think it just keeps getting better. This book was a little different than the first two as it didn’t so much deal with solving a murder, but who wants to live in a town where there a murder every book. I felt that this premise was a nice change of pace and kept things fresh and interesting. Mitzy gets more entangled in several unfortunate situations this time and it makes me wonder how she is going to get out of all these entanglements. it’s funny and keeps me wanting more. I highly recommend reading to give it a chance and be ready to read it straight through from start to finish, I did.
This is book 3 in the Mitzy Moon Mystery Series and it’s now Christmas time!! Everyone is out celebrating at the Yuletide Extravaganza when the town’s veterinarian is the victim of a hit and run accident. It seems that no one witnessed the accident, but Mitzy’s on the case at the request of Doc Ledo’s sister. At the same time Doc Ledo was struck it seems that there was a thief on the loose. Someone stole an angel off the porch of a nearby house and Mitzy realizes that there was actually a witness to the accident.
Using her wits and psychic abilities, Mitzy, with the help of Silas and her ghostly grandma, helps to solve the case and find out what really happened to Doc Ledo. While at the same time she also solves the case of the missing angel and makes a new friend.
I love how well Mitzy is settling in to Pin Cherry Harbor. She has relationships with so many other residents, she’s establishing roots, relaxing. She’s still as clumsy as ever, still chasing after Erick, still suffering from foot in mouth disease. You know, still Mitzy. The series is going splendidly, the characters are wonderful, I hope that Doc Ledo is kept around, I hope Rory Bombay is not (lol). I love seeing how Mitzy’s powers are growing. I can’t wait to get started on book 4 because I’m still invested in this series.

Mitzy Moon has been learning to work with her psychic abilities and hopes to use them to help solve two mysteries. There’s the theft of an angel statue and the hit and run that paralyzed the town veterinarian. Mitzy is also dealing with the advances of a handsome stranger who may have an ulterior motive and a curse.
I’m really enjoying this series and this book is no exception. This quick, fun read is well-written with wonderful characters. I was hooked from beginning to end and am looking forward to the next book. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order for the most enjoyment and benefit.
Mitzy is out to solve a couple of mysteries in this book. We continue to get teased by the flirting happening between Mitzy and Erick. Also, there is a new man in town named Rory, who is working on charming Mitzy. Is he a good guy, or is he up to more nefarious deeds? Love this series!
This series is so much fun. The main protagonist, Mitzy is fun, sassy, and sarcastic. The secondary characters are entertaining in their own ways. The mystery is suspenseful, fast-paced, and full of twists and turns.
I listened to the audio version of this book. The narrator does a fantastic job bringing Mitzy and the others off the page. She has great timing and diction, I never have a problem telling which character is speaking. Her tone and accents are entertaining. I really enjoyed listening to this book.
All thoughts and opinions are my own, and in no way, I have been influenced by anyone.
With this book Mitz builds on her skills and her mayhem!!!!!!! Silas has a bigger role and I enjoyed his input. The introduction of Rory Bombay was a hoot!!!!! I can’t help but remember Dr. Bombay from Bewitched every time I heard his name!!!!!! It made me snicker every single time!!!!!!! On to her next adventure, it is guaranteed to delight!!!!!
