A crime with no eyewitnesses. A determined psychic sleuth. Will her search for clues take her where angels fear to tread? Mitzy Moon is eager to test her expanding abilities. Love this series. Each book is better than the last. Mitzy & the crazy cast of characters will have you laughing. The ending was the best. I can’t wait to see what happens in book 4.
I love this series it’s funny and keeps me wanting more to read each book that comes out I highly recommend reading to give it a chance it will keep you on the edge of your seat I know it does me.
When beloved vet Doc Lido is struck by a vehicle and left to freeze in the snow packed street Mitzi is on the case! With most of the town at the winter extravaganza the suspects are few! When she notices a newspaper article that a widows angel statue with her late husbands ashes in it has disappeared on the same night she instantly makes the connection! In this book Rory Bombay makes another appearance as he tries to woo Mitzi! Despite Silas and her grandmothers warning she starts to date him. I really love this series! The characters are wonderful ! It so nice to see Mitzi develop a loving relationship with her grandmother! Being raised in foster care has made Mitzi realize how precious it is to have family to love and be loved by! I highly recommend this fun, quirky read with all the wonderful characters and original plots. This book and series has quickly become a favorite of mine!
An engaging hit-and-run mystery
This is not a murder mystery, but that didn’t matter to me at all; the mystery was very interesting and engaging! Two mysteries actually: who ran over the vet, and who stole the angel statue with the ashes? A hit-and-run, and an angel thief. And Mitzy’s gotta solve it!
It’s Mitzy’s first real winter and boy is she winter-naïve! That was really funny. She’s not prepared for it at all. Walking in the snow, driving in the snow: it takes some getting used to especially for a clutzy person like Mitzy!
And Erick, excuse me, SHERIFF HARPER, has some competition! In the form of Rory the antiquarian. Could he be dating-material? But can Mitzy trust him? Is he too good to be true?
I loved it. Especially Mitzy and her Grams ‘Ghost-ma’, but Silas is getting dearer to me with every book! And Pyewacket, the caracal, of course! Mitzy’s powers are slowly developing into more. Mitzy shows that underneath all that tough, she has a heart of pure gold. And I just love Ghost-ma! She has a big role in this book and I loved that! This book was hard to put down!
Mitzy Moon is in her 3rd crime-solving adventure since moving to Michigan. Her ghost grandmother has more surprises in store as Mitzy tries to find who ran over the local veterinarian. And there’s a romantic interest in Mitzy’s life. I love the latest adventure in Mitzy’s life. Can’t wait to read more!
Another fantastic Mitzy Moon adventure! I am completely invested in this girl’s life! I found myself relating to her a bit since she is living in almost Canada as I also live in almost Canada and know the bitter cold, wind, and snow all too well. And dropping things into the snow banks without a trace. Mitzy is one smart cookie, but she finds her way into some not so great situations. There is also the handsome sheriff that is always turning up everywhere to save the day. Coincidence?! The fella she has herself mixed up with now is a bit sketchy. I can’t wait to find out what he really wants with Mitzy. Will Mitzy’s Ghost-ma and Lawyer turn out to be right?! And what kind of mystery and predicaments can Mitzy get herself mixed up with next time?! I cannot wait for book #4 to come out.
Mitzy is at it again: solving a mystery faster than the sheriff and flirting with danger along the way. There’s a new, mysterious love interest in this one, and I don’t like him. Mitzy seems smitten, though, and he does add another mysterious element to the mix. This book is funny, and the characters are great.
Mitzi Moon gets better with each book! Wings and Broken Things is exceptionally good. Mitzi is much more settled into her new life in Pin Cherry Harbor and is beginning to focus on learning about her psychic gifts. She is also developing real relationships with her ghostly grandmother; Silas, her alchemist attorney; Pyewacket, her adopted Caracal; and a new gentleman in her life, Mr. Bombay.
The mystery in Wings and Broken Things is different – no one in Pin Cherry Harbor is killed. The lack of a body in no way takes away from the mystery that needs to be solved. Trixie Silvertale did an excellent job of keeping me on my toes!
I really enjoyed the new characters who were introduced in the story and hope that they will play a part as the series continues.
New season, new crime….same lovable cast of characters in Pin Cherry Harbor
Wings & Broken Things is the third installment in the Mitzy Moon Mysteries series. In this book we get to see Mitzy, once again, jump into crime solving action. Not one…but TWO crimes this time.
As we watch Mitzy handle winter (hilariously) in her new town, we also watch her continued crush on the Sheriff….while another man crushes on her. All of this just adds to the delight that is Mitzy’s story.
I have loved the ensemble cast since book one. The series is really quite fun
I found this book to be a great read. I have fallen in love with the character of Mitzy Moon. She is always willing to help and she gives help along the way. I enjoy her banter with Sheriff Harper (Erick) and there is a new man in the picture. I wonder where this is headed.
The local veterinarian is hurt in a hit and run and on the same night a memorial statue goes missing. Are they both connected and if so, how? Mitzy takes on the case and gets into some interesting trouble along the way.
I can definitely recommend this lastest book to you to read. I would recommend that you read them in order do that you get a better understanding of all the characters.
Cannot wait to read more of the adventures of Mitzy Moon.
Not a murder mystery, but a mystery none the less. I am sorry about what happens to Pyewacket’s vet, but it could have been worse. I am ambivalent about Rory Bombay…I can’t tell if I like him or loathe him. He just seems off. I really enjoy reading these mysteries! Trixie Silvertale is a masterful storyteller!
Wings and Broken Things is the third book in the paranormal cozy mystery series, Mitzy Moon Mysteries. This series just gets more engaging with each new story. The characters are wonderfully quirky and lovable. Mitzy has great character growth. The storyline was well written and captured my interest from beginning to end, with a hit-and-run, a thief, mystery, intrigue, and a fabulously eccentric cast of characters.
I loved this book and cannot wait for the next one in this entertaining series.
I read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book with no obligation.
I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy from the author. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased. I read Fries & Alibis and Tattoos & Clues, the first two books in this series, and I really enjoyed them, so I was happy to read this book when it was available.
Mitzy Moon’s vet is a victim of a hit-and-run and, as usual, she’s determined to find out what happened. She has no leads to start with, but with a little help from her growing abilities and her amazing cat Pyewacket, she is able to begin her investigation.
Mitzy hasn’t been in town long since she inherited her grandmother’s bookstore, but she’s viewed as a local rather than an outsider. She’s finally found a home. It’s too bad her grandmother had to die before she finds a place to call home, but at least she’s getting to know Grams in her ghostly form.
The characters in this book are great. Mitzy is independent yet she appreciates it when her Grams sets boundaries. Grams in the ghost form is funny and must have been a force of nature when she was alive. The two men in Mitzy’s life are completely different. Rory makes it known that he wants Mitzy, but there’s something about him…I can’t believe she likes him as much as she does! The sheriff, on the other hand, hasn’t even asked her out, but she flirts with him endlessly, and he seems like a good guy. Much better than the sketchy Rory!
These books are quick and fun reads. I enjoyed Wings & Broken Things and definitely recommend it, as well as the other books in the series. I can’t wait for the next Mitzy Moon mystery!
I love this series! Mizithra is such a fun and interesting character! With her grandmother (a ghost), Pyewacket (a caracal), and her lawyer, she is out to find out who done it!! Can’t wait for the next!!

Overall rating: 4.5
Another very charming episode in the life of Mitzy Moon. This time misfortune befalls on the town vet and Mitzy makes a few unlikely friends at the same time. A very entertaining slice into her life! I found this extremely easy to read through with humorous content keeping things light sided. And of course, Pyewacket keeps assisting subtly from the sidelines! Looking forward to more about this reluctant investigator/shop owner / possible journalist? All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
Every time I read one of Trixie Silvertale’s books I’m surprised and delighted! In this book readers follow the adventures of Mitzy Moon as she tries to find out who was involved in the hit and run that leaves the local veterinarian in the hospital. Mitzy’s sure that someone witnessed what happened and isn’t telling. Is there a connection to the missing cement angel that contains Oslo Jorgensen’s ashes?
Rory Bombay is showing interest in Mitzy. Are his intentions romantic or does he really just want access to the special library in Mitzy’s bookstore?
Hang on tight as Ms. Silvertale delivers another fresh, fun tale that will have you laughing out loud and staying up all night as you follow the antics of Mitzy, Pyewacket and the rest of the folks in Pin Cherry Harbor.
This is such a good series. I love all the characters and it is a good mystery. This time, the beloved local vet is run down and left at the side of the street. There is also a memorial angel stolen out of a woman’s yard. How are they connected? Mitzy is on the case. Pye would not forgive her if she didn’t help solve this mystery. What is up with Mr. Bombay? Is he a good guy or not?
The third book in a great new series. This series just keeps getting better and better. This book took a fresh approach and had a couple of mysteries to solve without murder. I found this a great idea and keep the characters developing and kept it interesting without another person dying. As the story moves on you really have to love the characters with all their quirky ways. This is a fresh new series that you just aren’t going to want to miss. It is a definitely an entertaining read and gives you all you could hope for-mystery with a few laughs along the way. It’s my favorite new series
Another wonderful book by this author!!! Mitzy has two cases to solve. The local vet is hit by a car but the driver doesn’t wait to see if he is ok. And, an angel statue is stolen from a widow’s yard. Are they connected sonehow? Mitzy thinks they are and goes about to prove it by solving both of them. Sheriff Erick is still as handsome as ever and not accepting her advances. Ghostma is still as snarky as ever as she and Mitzy grow closer. I can’t wait until the next book in this series comes out because I’m going to be excited to see what these lovable characters will be up to next. If you like cozy mysteries, read this series.
