Our heroine has been living the carefree life, but when she becomes the target of a killer, it might be time for a new approach.
This is a prequel to an urban fantasy story with a witch as our heroine. The story is very well written and fun to read, with lots of action packed into this prequel. As a prequel, we get introduced to our heroine and a bit of her world. Both are well done and quite intriguing, definitely inviting me to read more. I admit that I am ready for that.
Highly recommended.

This is the 3rd book I’ve read written by Angela Sanders; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Abby and Danielle are best friends who like to hang and party together. They were a blast together in this story and made me laugh out loud, especially when Danny enters the picture. This prequel was a blast to read and serves as a great introduction to these characters. Now I need to read the rest of the series to see what happens next especially how the story ended. Need to see how crazy Abby ends up being.
ONE WICKED ROLLERCOASTER
Holy hell morticia! Angela crashes through like a wrecking ball, laying waste and kicking ass, dishing up some boot-stomping choices, brutal facts and cruel tactics, keeping you riveted on a razors edge, blasting this jewel to a whole new level. Misfortune and malevolence descend in a tempest of dangerous pursuits and cunning maneuvers, knocking down walls and bringing the heat, blurred lines, shattered barriers and crashed perimeters, restrictions are enforced and amplified, exposing the devious quirks and defying bents, reaching deep for every ounce of strength in a fierce surge of preservation and determination, exploding this bad boy to life brilliantly. The characters, banter, dialogue, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, blend and flow adding depth and diversity, transforming into outstanding personalities. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that’s so rich and lively it feels as though you can just reach out and touch it, becoming part of the action instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything our characters feel. Remarkable job Angela, thanks for sharing this amazing thrill with us.
This is a well written paranormal romance with strong characters and an interesting story line. The author does a great job building the story with her detailed and descriptive scenes and pulled me in with all the feels in this suspense filled story. It moves quickly and smoothly and is an entertaining book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC if this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
“Winds of Change” is intended as a prequel to Angela Sander’s “Delphine Rising” series. The story offers background information on the series FMC, Abigail (Abby) Blanque, twenty-one-year-old witch more intended in having a good time that concentrating in coven business, until some dangerous stalker crosses her path.
Two fellow witches in the Hybrid Coven have already been killed and Abby seems to be targeted as the next victim. Abby’s life will change forever after she has to mobilize her unknown and deep buried power to be able to fight the killer. Fortunately, she is not alone in the fight, her best friend Danny is always by her side, as they friendship develops into love and the fight becomes increasingly difficult.
This is a good prequel that succeeds in introducing the Delphine Rising world setting and characters to the reader and while some things feel a little rushed, they will surely be further explained in the course of the series. The story is good written, entertaining and set in New Orleans, which adds another layer of flair to the action.
Excellent start, to what looks to be a great series. Full of a great group of characters, that I loved with friendships, so close. This group of characters are some of the best, I’ve seen, definitely easy to relate to, easy to see their closeness and love for each other. Hard to watch the grief, when one is lost. How will things go on now, how is one to move on without their light?
They are witches, that belong to a good covern. A twosome that fights vampires. That twosome becomes a three some, of best friends. They have great fun together, have plenty of laughter, banter and snark.
There’s a real crazy person, unattached to reality. Who will change everything forever. Have everything, everyone, spinning out of control. Will anything ever be the same again?
This was a fast paced book, as I was reading it I couldn’t wait, for the next thing to happen, then the next. I found it so intriguing, even as I read it I couldn’t wait to know what was going to happen next. This book kept me full of emotion and wanting more.
Going by this book, I can’t wait for more of this series. It most definitely brought me into the book and onto my magic carpet, into fantasy world. And that’s my favorite place to be. Kudos, to the Author Angela Sanders I’m loving her work.
5 stars
My wife was trying to read her own book and I drove her crazy reading aloud to her constantly as I enjoyed Winds of Change. I was laughing and chuckling almost all the way through the book. I am anxiously awaiting Raging Inferno which I have pre-ordered.
Great start to a well-written series with a witch as the star of the show. I’ve actually read the other books already, but know that you will love this quick and entertaining read that introduces you to the fabulous characters and their world. Such a wonderful story, you can put yourself right into it, and certainly a great prep for the rest of the series. So, no spoilers, this is all you get, however, my final word is ONE-CLICK! Get this now, you’ll be so glad you started this hard to find a stopping place book and subsequently the series.

What starts as a sweetheart’s paranormal romance ends in an angry kick-ass woman urban fantasy. And although the story is paranormal, in my heart it felt very real. Abby is an ordinary sweet witch girl, who helps her mother in her shop, supports her sister and makes time for her best friend, Danielle. Yes, she has her snarky attitude and her big boots on, but who knew she could harbour so much darkness inside of her. The story’s pace focuses on the characters and how they interact with each other, which makes their actions close to heart. Abby and Danielle have a side job where they hunt down rough vampires and the use of some spells is very interesting. The YA romance part of the story is one of the Twilight’s, ‘Its always been you,’ loves, where Abby and Danny have been watching each other for years and never acted upon their feelings as they didn’t believe they were mutual. Although they have known about each other in the story for a long time, when we first read about their love it moves fast and explosively. They form an instant connection where they seem to have been a couple like for ever. I enjoyed reading about their relationship.
