When single mother, Annie Malone, purchases a quirky Main Street café on Heron Island, she thinks she’s finally turned her dream of opening her own restaurant into a reality. Hearing rumors that a developer is about to build a five-star resort on the sleepy Chesapeake Bay island, she plans to transform the café into a premier upscale bistro. But Navy SEAL, Will Dozier, has no intention of selling … selling his grandparents’ property to a developer. Back on Heron Island for the first time in ten years and secretly struggling with PTSD, Will decides that a fling with the new girl is the perfect way to help him “get his head straight.” The last thing Will expects is to fall in love… with his hometown and with Annie. But Will’s life and career are in San Diego with the SEALs. Can Annie’s love and the healing magic of the island be enough to convince him to stay?

Enjoyed the book and will read others in the series
I think the characters were well written and complex. They each were dealing with issues that are very current today! PTSD is not just for soldiers but can occur with any traumatic event! I love the way the two characters interacted. It did seem to wrap up rather quickly but we did get our happy ending!
Another good series. Real people with real problems and some romance. Good plans which should be implemented all over the country.
An easy fun summer time read. I enjoyed it. Fast
Well written and enjoyable story.
Could not put the book down. Great story!
I absolutely LOVED this book. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series. This was my first time to read a book written by Ms. Sophia. And it will not be my last. Definitely one of my newest favorite authors. Very enjoyable read!
Fun book to read in your down time. Cute and inspiring and makes me want to move to a small island city asap! You won’t be disappointed! 🙂
Ok
Destination was obvious, but the journey was delightful.
Enjoyed this series.
I loved this book! It dealt with several of the painful realities we deal with daily, but gives a satisfying ending to the reader.
Easy read with a good story. While it appeared predictable at times, there were side stories and details which kept it interesting. I look forward to reading Sophie’s other books
I really enjoyed this book.
The topic is on-point in our world of school invasions. Wanted more of an ending rather than pointing toward another book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the writing style of the author was awesome! I really felt as if I was on the Island with the characters. I only wish it was a stand alone story.
A fresh look at life w with 2 people who both need to realize there is hope for a real love to count on. Also a book that shows doing the right thing counts. Truly worth reading
You fall in love with the characters. Have tried to find other books by this author.
Trite, sappy, predictable chic lit romance.
Nice little story
