When single mother, Annie Malone, purchases a quirky Main Street café on Heron Island, she thinks she’s finally turned her dream of opening her own restaurant into a reality. Hearing rumors that a developer is about to build a five-star resort on the sleepy Chesapeake Bay island, she plans to transform the café into a premier upscale bistro. But Navy SEAL, Will Dozier, has no intention of selling … selling his grandparents’ property to a developer. Back on Heron Island for the first time in ten years and secretly struggling with PTSD, Will decides that a fling with the new girl is the perfect way to help him “get his head straight.” The last thing Will expects is to fall in love… with his hometown and with Annie. But Will’s life and career are in San Diego with the SEALs. Can Annie’s love and the healing magic of the island be enough to convince him to stay?

Love these characters and this locale
Cute, feel good story
Not a fan. Too predictable.
Easy read, but not terribly surprising.
a delightful read. I enjoyed it.
So much fun to read the series together. They are fine as stand alones as well.
A nice light read. Very predictable. Sweet.
I enjoyed the book because the characters had trauma in their lives but were learning to work thru it. They were positive and moving forward. As a result, it inspired me.
It was delightful. A lovely escape!
Chacter building, interesting characters
I could not put this book down until I had finished it!
Being from Connecticut, the tragedy at Sandy Hook is ever present. Moss handles such a tragedy delicately without exploitation . I would read more in the series.
After reading this book I bought the rest of the series
Easy to read, as well as good writing, which made me want to finish the book quickly. Would like to read another book with the same characters…
Unfortunately, a very real and sad fact of modern life and it’s consequences on families, is considered in this sensitive novel. Sophie Moss handles the issue very well and builds a charming tale.
Was a cozy read. I’m not into romance but this one was pretty good.
Great story
Easy read, enjoyed the characters, am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Loved it!! Great story and awesome characters.
Okay but not spellbinding.
