When single mother, Annie Malone, purchases a quirky Main Street café on Heron Island, she thinks she’s finally turned her dream of opening her own restaurant into a reality. Hearing rumors that a developer is about to build a five-star resort on the sleepy Chesapeake Bay island, she plans to transform the café into a premier upscale bistro. But Navy SEAL, Will Dozier, has no intention of selling … selling his grandparents’ property to a developer. Back on Heron Island for the first time in ten years and secretly struggling with PTSD, Will decides that a fling with the new girl is the perfect way to help him “get his head straight.” The last thing Will expects is to fall in love… with his hometown and with Annie. But Will’s life and career are in San Diego with the SEALs. Can Annie’s love and the healing magic of the island be enough to convince him to stay?

Sounds realistic
Loved this book.
Good series. Can’t wait for #4.
Ms. Moss’ characters are more likely to face situations that real people face. Makes the books more interesting to me than one where the secret prince needs a date for his father’s investiture.
looking forward to the next book in the series
I enjoyed this book so much I bought the other two books in the series. The book dealt with a current topic and how love brings healing.
Very readable and current, bringing results of terrorism home to everyday citizens. The love story, as well as love for a child, was heart warming. Highly recommended.
A sweet story
Brought to life real issues that we face today’s world….sweet romance.
This is actually 4 1/2 stars. the characters were relatable and the story-line different. Enjoyable reading.
Enjoyed this book
I read this book straight through, no breaks!
Well written as I
Opposed to many of your books.
Although I really enjoy romantic reads the genre hit a little too close to home.
Loved the characters and the storyline and the Chesapeake Bay setting.
Interesting characters & happy reading
Enjoyed all three and looking forward to Wind Chime Cottage when it comes out!
I wanted this book to last forever!
Although it’s kind of a romance novel it did add issues like 9/11 and school shootings
Was a fast read and kept you interested. A tragic happening for the little girl that turned out well. Very devoted mother but terrible father.Glad to see him out of the picture. Just a good all around read that you didn’t want to put down. Looking forward to more free books by her.
