I liked this story a lot. It was entertaining and sweet. It is short, but it’s also enjoyable. The characters were relatable. I liked all of them!
Hope, Ryan, and Finley were so sweet together. I was glad that they found each other and that they had so much in common. Their happy ever after made me smile. I definitely recommend reading this book!

Bonding over Star Trek and Captain Picard……….with Spot the cat too
Willing at the Library is the second book in the Curvy Librarians of Sugar Hill series and it is another sweet, saucy, loving and enjoyable short story. This time it is about Hope and Ryan, along with very sweet Finley. Hope is a librarian who meets Finley when the sweet little girl attends the children story and craft time. Hope has not seen Finley before and as the little girl looks a little lost and out of place takes her to a table with other children for the crafting part. When it is all finished Finley is the only child still left, with no adult around to pick her up. Luckily Finley knows her fathers name and his phone number so Hope makes a call. Ryan rushes over to the library and is very attentive and apologizes, as he thought it was a day camp. Ryan is a single dad to FInley as his ex left a year ago. Then his tech company took off and has now been purchased by another company that is in town. So they moved to Sugar Hill as part of the deal was Ryan consult for a year to help with the transition and to make it a success. As a way to make it up to Hope, well actually as a way to get to spend more time around her, Ryan invites her to go to a Comicon with he and Finley on the coming Saturday. It seems they all love Star Trek, as Finley is wearing a t-shirt with Spot the cat, Hope is also wearing a Star Trek themed t-shirt and Ryan also likes Star Trek, which he and Fnley have bonded over. Hope accepts the invitation and asks if they have costumes. When Ryan says not she tells them what to wear. When they meet in the parking lot at the event on Saturday morning Hope finishes the costumes turning the three of them into Star Trek crew, complete with communicators. Hope and Finley have a great time going from booth to booth with Ryan trailing behind. Autographs and pictures are taken, souvenirs are bought and a great day is had. Ryan is hooked on Hope and she is smitten with him also. But not everything goes smoothly over the course of the next week as Ryan is more concerned about work than about being a great father and also respecting Hope. It will take the owner of the company to make him see the error of his ways but once he does he is ready to make it right and swear he will never do it again. So add in sweet little Finley and this is a wonderful story that I enjoyed a lot.
Book 2 in the Curvy Librarians of Sugar Hill. Quick single dad and curvy girl romance. Loved Ryan and Hope. They had such a great chemistry and attraction. He was drawn to her when she called to let him know that the library didn’t have a day camp. Their relationship progressed from there with a small bump in the road to their HEA but nothing much to destroy their relationship. Loved the cute epilogue.

Hope works at the Library in Sugar Hill. She does story-time for kids and notices a sweet shy girl. She helps the girl with her craft and encourages her to give it to a family member. After all the other kids have gone home, Finley is left behind. Sara helps Finley get in touch with her dad and get him to the library. Sara not having had the best home life growing up, lets Ryan know just how irresponsible he has been by forgetting his daughter. Ryan apologized and asks Sara to go to a local GeekCon event with he and Finley. Ryan is a sweet and loving dad to Finley but he struggles with juggling his career and family at the moment. Ryan and Finley both love Star Trek and they have the most adorable relationship and routine with quoting the show. If you ever watched the show, you can’t help but love the interaction between this father and daughter. Although Sara likes Ryan and cares for Finley, she holds back not letting Ryan take advantage of her. Sara is independent and confident and she does not let Ryan get away with ghosting her for work. She’s had enough unreliable people in her past that she will not stand for it now.
“For so long, I’ve been the only person who cared if I were okay. To have someone else commit to putting me first feels like a dream come true.” Sara
I’m am always puzzled by how with such a short story, Fox can write the characters in such a way to make you like them, want to cheer them on, and get to know them. She does it EVERY time.
Hope is a librarian. Ryan is a single dad. At the beginning of their burgeoning relationship Ryan makes a critical error – choosing work over spending time with Hope. Will she give him a second chance? This story is a part of a series and features a curvy lady who is a Star Trek fan. I love the way the characters interact with Finley and Maximilian’s sorely needed advice lol! “Willing at the Library” is a short story with a big heart – full of humor, warmth, heat, and the importance of appreciation. Very entertaining!
