You are invited to the rest of your life.Three women, from coast to coast and in between, open their mailboxes to the same intriguing invitation. Although leading entirely different lives, each has found herself at a similar, jarring crossroads. Right when these women thought they’d be comfortably settling into middle age, their carefully curated futures have turned out to be dead ends. The sender … dead ends.
The sender of the invitation is Willa Silvester, who is reeling from the untimely death of her beloved husband and the reality that she must say goodbye to the small mountain town they founded together. Yet as Willa mourns her losses, an impossible question keeps staring her in the face: So now what?
Struggling to find the answer alone, fiercely independent Willa eventually calls a childhood friend who happens to be in her own world of hurt—and that’s where the idea sparks. They decide to host a weeklong interlude from life, and invite two other friends facing their own quandaries. Soon the four women converge at Willa’s Montana homestead, a place where they can learn from nature and one another as they contemplate their second acts together in the rugged wilderness of big sky country.

Loved loved this book, could see a sequel. Loved the characters, real life, eye-opener, loved the story
As an older woman, 72, I identified with several of the characters and the life situations they were facing. I also loved the strong bond of friendship the characters shared.
I do not often read a book a second time, but I plan to read TV his one again
different
It is a very meaningful and important book. I read it twice within a week — it is that important.
I did not enjoy this book like some of mu others took mr a long time to tead dif not keep my interest but did finish
Excellent reading for women 40+ who may be considering a life change or have been forced to make one. The characters are well written. This book was hard to put down. I have recommended it to my friends because I enjoyed it so much.
I cried but loved these women.
Great book. Wonderful interactions and development of the women. So true how so many of us hold our thoughts and feelings inward and don’t ask for help. These women dug deep and learned so much about themselves in their week together. Non had realized their true great qualities and potential and were just making do in their lives.
Loved it and the women characters. We all should do what they did!
great book to read for different perspectives on life.
All of the above. I loved it
I can’t believe I actually finished this book. So 2 stars. I felt that the characters were all too revealing and mini psychologists. They all had major revelations with their lives in just five days. The Montana setting was great but the twists and turns were not believable. It was like attending a women’s weekend with no leader at some second rate self help spa. The language sometimes was so touchy feely I just want to stop reading and walk the dog or anything to just put it down and maybe never pick it back up.Other women reviewers it loved it, so each to their own… just not my cup of therapy!
It was a great book. I didn’t want it to end!
This story is a very touching story of women and the different life situations. I enjoyed reading it.
I loved the “baggage” that all the characters brought to the story, and how they evolved and helped each other.
This story makes me crave connection, community, and nature. I wanted to be the 5th friend of a friend and dish all my secrets and be set free!! Great read.
A very unusual plot with wonderful characters. Don’t miss this one !
I enjoyed reading this story about four women that share a week in rural Montana. Four different stories , being in touch nature ,sharing and finding themselves. With the question, So What Now?
Very entertaining page turner , thought- provoking, interesting women.
