Minnie is getting used to death and mayhem, and this time, she doesn’t run from trouble but forges ahead to discover who shot the victim with an arrow and dumped him in the well. Ben assures her he has seen no ghostly Apache warriors bent on protecting the stronghold from intruders, and Minnie knows she is looking for a real-live cold-blooded murderer.

Unfortunately, for both Minnie and the victim, she finds a body on the beach—the husband of the RV park manager. No accidental drowning, the poor man has been murdered…stabbed and left to die. Was it a random killing by a stranger on a dark beach? Or did someone he knew target him? And if so, why?
In between bugging everyone at the park in an attempt to solve the murder, Minnie catches beads and moonpies at the local Mardi Gras parades…and hopes she can find a solution to the Trouble in Orange Beach!

Three more cozy Murder mysteries where Minnie gets a little too close in the case and sometimes gets put in very dangerous situations. I really liked these three and can’t wait to see what happens with Minnie and Ben next!
This review is for the audio book.
This is another great addition to the will travel for trouble series. This is for three books and even though they are shorts stories when listened together they make for a great listen. Each stories is a stand alone so you don’t need to listen to them straight after each other if you don’t want to but I did. Minnie and her ghostly companion make for a great crime fighting team although you do wonder why Minnie hasn’t come under suspicion more. No matter it is a good clean fun and despite there being a ghost in the story it is definitely a cozy mystery and not a Sci-Fi story. Off to start the next book.
Trouble in Tombstone Town book 1 (Book 7 in the series) five stars
Minnie has made it to a town that is steeped in the history of the Apaches and the Cavalry, legendary lawmen, outlaws, and gunfights. so much so that actors recrate the fights scenes in the streets everyday. That is until one of the actors gets shot for real and dies right in front of her and new fellow RV camper. Was it an accident? Did someone load the prop gun with real bullets instead of blanks? These are questions Minnie starts to ask the actors before she stumbles over the real gun hidden in all places a graveyard. So who else had a reason to kill the man and can Minnie find out the answer before moving on?
Trouble in Cochise Stronghold, Book 2 (Book 8i n the series) four stars
Minnie wants to do some sight seeing by explore Cochise Stronghold but soon finds a body floating in a well. The poor man had been shot by an arrow and Minnie and Ben finds themselves visiting a target range and an old museum to find answers as both places had connections to the dead man. Can Minnie solve the murder before she becomes a target?
Trouble in Orange Beach, Book 3 (Book 9in the series) five stars
Minnie has finally found her way to the beach and it is great timing because it is party season, know as Mardi Gras, a fun-filled time of parades and festivities. As well as catching beaded neckless she will have to catch a kill when she finds yet another dead body. The owner of the RV parks husband is the victim but he didn’t drown after drinking to much, he was stabbed and the suspect is the wife but could a wheel chair bound lady really kill her husband? Minnie and Ben try to find out.
Once again the narrator puts in a really good performance and makes it an enjoyable experience. whether you are soaking up the sun on the beach with Minnie or explore old and dusty museums.
Will Travel for Trouble Boxed Set (Books Seven through Nine) was another good read by Minnie Crockwell. This book consisted of; Trouble in Tombstone Town, Trouble in Cochise Stronghold, and Trouble in Orange Beach. Minnie Crockwell finds herself in the middle of more murders and mysterious deaths in RV parks that she travels to. I enjoy reading her adventures with Ben. I loved listening to how Michelle Babb narrated the characters. I can’t wait to read more by Minnie Crockwell.
I listened to the audio version of this set of cozy mysteries. These are just as wonderful as all the other’s have been. Minnie is constantly finding trouble (or it’s finding her) in the form of dead people. She “aids” the officials in finding the perpetrator(s) of the homicides by her inquisitive mind and her perceptions. She usually gets herself in hot water somewhere along the line, but her ghostly travel companion usually assists her.
It’s interesting, that with each book now it seems as if Minnie is closer to pursuing some kind of actual relationship other than via email with her long time ex-husband. I can’t wait to see where that’s going.
The stories keep your interest and the narration by Michelle Babb is entertaining. Crockwell and Babb are a good combination.
I was given a complimentary copy of this audio box set. All thoughts are my own.
In this three-book collection (Books 7-9) of Minnie Crockwell’s Will Travel For Trouble series, readers find Minnie, a retired government worker, and RV enthusiast, as she continues her retirement adventures traveling from one park to another, hoping for a tranquil relaxing stay. And once again, she finds herself embroiled in murder upon murder! In each of the three novellas in this collection, Trouble in Tombstone Town, Trouble in Cochise Stronghold, and Trouble in Orange Beach, Minnie and her 19th Century ghost companion, Ben, find another dead body and are quickly smack dab in the middle of the investigation. The author keeps reader interest high with action, good characterization, and a fast pace to the stories. From Southeast Arizona to a Gulf Beach town, with shoot-out reenactments and Mardi Gras celebrations, and some twists and turns to the plot, the author keeps you guessing to the end as to the culprit. Will Travel for Trouble is a fun set of books to read (or listen to as this reviewer did). The narrator, Michelle Babb, does a nice job of giving characters their unique voice, making for an enjoyable listening experience. I enjoyed this set of books and look forward to listening to the rest of the books in the series. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.
Minnie and her traveling partner, Ben, a 19th-century ghost are enjoying spending time traveling to the different campgrounds in their RV. This time around they are exploring the wild west and then they head south of Mardi Gras.
These are quick paced fun storylines. The characters of Minnie and Ben have great chemistry and the mysteries are full of twist and turns. Cozy mystery fans will enjoy these books. The mysteries can be enjoyed as stand-alone stories but the characters are better understood when the series is read in order.
Narrator Michell Babb is fantastic once again as she is a natural storyteller. She is great with accents and timing. She really brings the story to life.
