Boxed set of the Will Travel for Trouble series of short cozy mysteries, Books 10-12!
Trouble at Pelican Penthouse, Book 10: Minnie Crockwell, recreational vehicle enthusiast and traveler, and her ghost companion, Ben, spent their first week at the beach on the Gulf Coast solving a murder. Minnie isn’t ready to leave the warms sands and turquoise waters of Alabama’s Emerald Coast, but due to the influx of winter visitors, she can’t find a vacancy at any RV parks so she rents Pelican Penthouse—a beach house on a secluded stretch of the coast known as Fort Morgan.
The serenity of the isolated beach is soon broken by the sounds of four-wheeled vehicles and a mysterious stench emanating from the cottage next door. On investigating the source of the smell, Minnie discovers something that breaks her heart. Death comes to more than just a human, and Minnie is compelled to solve the mystery of the casualties in Trouble at Pelican Penthouse.
Trouble at Island Castle, Book 11: Minnie Crockwell, recreational vehicle enthusiast and traveler, and her ghost companion, Ben, are taking a break from solving mysteries with a bit of relaxation in Florida and a trip to Island Castle, a popular theme park. But relaxation escapes the two as they discover that the moans, groans and shrieks from the Creepy Castle buggy ride weren’t all fake. Someone didn’t make it out of the ride alive, and it wasn’t an accident!
Minnie swears she’s not going to get involved, but what Minnie says she’s going to do and what she really does are rarely the same thing as she determines to solve the mysterious death in Trouble at Island Castle.
Trouble at Yellowstone, Book 12: Minnie Crockwell, recreational vehicle enthusiast and traveler, and her ghost companion, Ben, left Florida and headed north…northwest, anyway. Yellowstone National Park beckons! Bison, bears, wolves, elk, moose, antelope and deer roam the valleys, bighorn sheep and mountain goats climb the hills, geysers spew fountains of steam and water, hot springs and mud pots abound! What’s not to like? One tourist would be happy to tell you…if he were still alive. Minnie and Ben discover what’s left of that tourist and now must solve the Trouble at Yellowstone!

Another great collection of short stories. I like the fact that this box set contains three very different stories that grab the imagination and are all quiet enjoyable. In this set you find Minnie’s ghostly companion Ben changing and I loved the way that he was able to get more involved in the mysteries but In other ways else able to help, it adds a new twist to the stories. The mystery were good and I think this one is my favourite box set because I didn’t guess the out come in any of the stories. I hope there are more books to come in the series.,
Trouble at Pelican penthouse Book one (book 10 in the series) five stars.
Unable to find a RV park for there next stop Minnie and Ben rent a cottage on the beach front, in an isolated section where the only companion should be the occasional seagulls. This does not prove to be the case, several times a young man drives up and down the quite stretch of beach on a four-wheel vehicle disturbing the tranquil setting. On edge Minnie goes for a walk to calm down and is hit by a horrendous smell coming from the nearest beach house property. Unable to ignore it she investigates and find herself phoning for the police. Someone has been killing sharks but it is the body found in the actual house that really gets the police’s attention. Who killed him and why? Minnie and Ben set out to investigate.
Trouble at Island castle book 2 (book 11 in the series) five stars
Moving on from her troubles Minnie vowels to enjoy herself at the nest stop on her travels by visiting a theme park. Even there the screams of joy quickly fade away with cries of tear when a teenage girl dies on the Creepy castle buggy ride. This time when it is proved she didn’t die of natural causes the suspect pool is small and In fact Minnie has a hard time picturing how a kill could get close to the girl while on the ride and with out been seen. Can Ben put his ghostly talents to good use and get close to the answers before the girls family kill each other?
Trouble at Yellowstone book three (book 12 in the series) five stars.
Minnie is excited to see animals in there natural inhabitants and is hoping to see some wolves or bears. However one guest gets to close to some bison and is killed. Luckily Minnie was on hand to watch the whole event, she wasn’t able to save the man but at least she can convince the rangers it wasn’t an accident. Determined to still enjoy her time Minnie visits the rest of the local attractions in the area and keeps running into a number of suspicious people. Is one of them the person she saw running away from the scene? I think for sure the geysers aren’t the only things about to erupt.
Michelle Babb is a great choice for the narrator of this series. She does a good job with all the voices throughout the whole series and even needed to do some accents in one of the stories making it that much more enjoyable and definitely like you were out traveling around meeting new people
