My Thoughts on Will the Real Person Please Stand Up?:
Fear is such a powerful thing. It can motivate us and make us strive for bigger and better or it can ensnare us and keep us prisoner. I know that I personally have struggled and do struggle with fear and anxiety. Because of this, I thought this book might be a good fit for me.
This was a really good read. There are takeaways that everyone can use to help them. Plus, I really appreciated the medical standpoint that is brought into the book. As someone in the medical field, it’s always nice when medicine and scripture can align.
While some might call this a self-help book I don’t think I would. I’d call this a find hope and find God to help you book.
I really enjoyed the personal stories the author told. This book is going to reach out and grab you. It’s not really long at under 200 pages. The cover is gorgeous and it’s written so beautifully.
Need a book to read? Struggle with fear or anxiety? Feel abandoned and alone? Any or all of these things? Get a copy of this book and give it a read. I recommend this book to anyone struggling. It would be a good one to have on a church book shelf too.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
I really enjoyed reading through this very informative book. This author offers insights, tips, advice, scripture, hope and so much more for those who are hurting because of rejection in their life at some t ok me or another. I like that Gaik Porter backs everything she says with scripture. This will capture the interest of many, but with some, they may need more to convince them they can find healing and help.
I like the title of this book. The cover is a beautiful blue, and the picture is sharp eye catching and immediately captures your attention. I would buy this book just by the cover and title.
Will the Real Person Please Stand Up is an amazing book for those hurting, especially those who have endured rejection, or those with a fear of being rejected. But this book is so much more. Anyone dealing with difficult issues, and the feat that comes with it can benefit from reading this book. I found many things that will help me when things get to be impossible. If this is something that interest you, or if you are going through some if these issues at this time, I highly recommend this book for you. It’s not a long book, only 176 pages. You can read the book in sections, which worked better for me, or you can follow the chapters to read. Either way, it is an amazing book to have in your library.

The first thing that popped out to me as I began the book was when the author tried to remember where she and her family sat at the dinner table as she grew up. I had this same conversation with my brother last year. Neither of us could ever remember sitting at the dinner table together or even where we ate dinner at. I’m not surprised that I don’t remember since there was no love in our family. I came from a violent and abusive childhood and never once did I hear the words, “I love you,” from my parents.
I could relate to the author as she was raised in a home where love was not shown. Much like the author, I was glad when I was at school or at a friends house. I never wanted to go home and dreaded the moment I stepped in my house. Rejection is such a hard thing to overcome. It wraps its hold on you and continues to whisper lies to keep you isolated and abandoned. What I liked about the author was how open she is about her life and brings truth to the lies that the enemy uses to discourage us. “We don’t need to try to earn God’s acceptance. God’s love is unconditional.”
The author uses many scriptures to encourage us and remind us that God loves us. She shares stories that are easy to relate to and it helps to hear how they overcame obstacles that pulled them away from God. Fear, rejection, abandonment, unloved and other topics make this book one that I found helpful. Included at the end of each chapter are questions for readers to do. Throughout the book I found the author sharing love and how to overcome the things that have kept us from being trusting and showing unconditional love to others.
I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.
