This was a good book. Life brings us a lot of changes and just reading about how one learns to pray and listens were great.
It rained yesterday and this was the book I sat and read all day–what fantastic luck to run into the feel good book
This is a fun read with strong characters and a compelling plot. The fish out of water stuff wasn’t too much of an impediment to the romance. Recommended for fans of the genre.
Enjoyed this book tremendously. I loved Her spirit and courage and I love happy endings.
A very good to read!
Once i started reading.. I’m definitely hooked.
This was a really good book. I enjoyed getting to know the characters.
I would have given this book at least one more star if not for the annoying missing words–verbs, adverbs, pronouns. Get an editor!
A Winter Bride: Wilhemina (Brides for all Seasons #1) by Hildie McQueen is a historical romance set in Montana in 1872. The book is short only 162 pages, is easy to read, has interesting characters with some stereotypical stepmother/stepsister and wealthy society snobbiness contrasted with salt of the earth Western ranch families. Nothing delves too deep in descriptions, sorrows or emotions but is a heartwarming read.
I really enjoyed this book. The story line was interesting and I couldn’t put the book down.
Wilhelmina has a horrible home life. It isn’t even a hesitation that she takes the chance on being a mail order bride. Marcus need a good women to settle him into a man and he gets just that.
Wilhelmina hated by society learned that she can be a mail order bride. Wilhelmina is mainly interested after knowing that her best friend, Aurora, could no longer maintain their friendship after the scandal in which Wilhelmina was involved, since Aurora would marry the other brother Jameson. The big challenge, however, was not just that she and Marcus seemed to have nothing in common, but that she had been raised to be a lady and knew nothing about domestic service. Each day she needed to learn lots of tasks at the ranch because winter would soon arrive and they would be trapped in their homes. Despite the challenge, the marriage continues. Mrs Hamilton’s illness gets worse. Wilhelmina and Marcus need to trim the edges of their relationship that seems to get worse every day, but by their coexistence and observation, the feeling between them begins to grow.
Very romantic story for mail order bride. I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it. Quick read as well.
A very sweet, nice story. All characters are lovely and the relationships are simple but sweet. Was a very good story.
Excellent book.
Refreshing to read a good clean romance without having to skip the graphic sex and filthy words. Just goes to prove you can still write an excellent clean book with Christian values. I l o vex this book.
Good book. Kept my interest. Fun characters.
