Montana werewolf. Snooty demon hunter. Too bad the mission comes first.Astrid Edmonds takes her role as demon hunter seriously. Alongside her plucky team, she can conquer anything. Not that she wants to take on smelly werewolves, but it’s her job.Boden Connery loves his home and family. That doesn’t mean he wants to spend the entirety of his long existence on the isolated ranch. When an … ranch. When an intelligent feral army encroaches on Bodie’s family’s territory, he’ll do whatever it takes to protect his pack, including calling on demon hunters for help.
Astrid’s preconceived notions about werewolves fly right out the window when she lays eyes on the ridiculously sexy Bodie. He’s not smelly and brainless at all, actually. The werewolf is sweet, upstanding, and downright hot.
Carrie Thorne’s fresh take on paranormal romance will leave you deliciously satisfied… and eager for more.
(Yes, you can read as a standalone, but why stop at just one?)
______________
Grinning at the appreciative reception, Bodie rubbed his hand over the back of his neck as he decided whether to get dressed or claim he had nothing to wear, so he could enjoy her blushing ogle a bit longer. Grammy had made the arrangements, but said she’d spoken to a guy demon hunter, Vann, who’d promised to send one of his team. Werewolves held their secrets close, especially from demon hunters, but Grammy seemed to trust this team.
Bodie hadn’t expected the willowy bombshell. Who knew those terms could play together so nicely?
“I, uh… who are you?” Sweet voice, too. Not like benevolent sweet, but a husky soprano, if that were possible.
“Sorry I’m late. Boden Connery. Everyone calls me Bodie.” He extended his hand. Late was a bit of a lie. He’d wanted to get a feel for the hunter before revealing himself. Demon hunters weren’t exactly a werewolf’s best friend.
Then, wouldn’t you know it, but a trio of baddies decided to ruin both of their nights? Nice timing though. He had been worried about how to convince the demon hunters that not only was he a werewolf, but also a good guy. Revealing himself was a risky move, but worth it, and not just for the flattering check-out.
A fiery red blush heated her cheeks further. Stubbornly polished, she averted her eyes from his package and silently declined stepping close enough to shake his hand. As she avoided looking at him now that she’d recovered, her gaze now roamed anywhere else. Keeping busy, she cleaned her swords and sheathed them. “Astrid Edmonds. I… you can’t be who Vann spoke with on the phone. I don’t understand.”
Figures. Demon hunters and their narrow minds. Thought they were the only decent demon-human hybrids out there.
“I’m not. It was my grandmother.” He knelt down and pulled his clothes from the backpack. He’d wound up naked enough on vigilante ventures like this one. Grammy modified a backpack for him so he could wear it as the wolf.
Demon hunter chick was a curious thing, observing him like a scientist. Well, a horny scientist. It had been getting a bit cool in the June evening anyway, and shrinkage would quickly ruin her first impression of him.
Once he felt a bit more presentable in his jeans, black tee, and dusty old hiking boots, he turned to her and shrugged. “Better?”
She relaxed her stiff posture, her hands pushing into her pockets, and a genuine, fricking dynamic smile blossomed. The subtle expression lit her up like a beacon on a foggy day. How would she look, lit up from laughing out loud with an unrepressed grin… or after getting to know each other better?
Down boy, he threatened himself. Don’t let the demon hunter chick catch you fantasizing about her. Without her team, his pack was toast.more
This book is captivating!
It grabs you right from the start keeping you engrossed and turning page after page throughout the whole book!
I loved everything about it – the characters, the plot, the emotion, and the writing!

Boden is the kind of shapeshifter any girl would like to see diving into their waters. I liked the first novel of this series but I loved this one. I found myself fully invested in what would happen with the problem they faced and their relationship. And I was super happy to have it end in a way that hinted at seeing more of Boden and Astrid in the future. Loved this one. It’s a good one to recommend even if you didn’t read the first novel of the series. -I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Wildest Demon Hunter Romance #2 by Carrie Thorne, was a Wild Ride Full of Furry Creatures, and a Variety of Demon Hunters!
I truly enjoyed Bodie, and Astrid as a couple, their story was a fun read.

First I want to say. This is not really a stand alone book. You should read the first book before to really understand the characters. I know lots is written about demons, vampires and werewolves and you think enough already. But just think for a moment if their labels were changed to Asians, blacks and native Americans. It is the timeless tale of misconceptions. It is of different species falling in love. Except this story is much more. The horrors of war for the soldiers, their pain, the grief that they all live with. Then creating a super being a super soldier gone wrong. I think this story should be told over and over and over for love, for acceptance, for the human race.
Astrid and Bodie
I loved this second book, There is nothing better for me in my paranormal romance reading than an ass kicking FMC and an Alpha werewolf MC. I love a strong story line with great characters and a well written plot. This story brought this all for me and I Loved it to the end. Now I am going to begin looking for the next book in this series. I recommend for PNR Lovers.
Heroines that kick butt, handsome werewolf shifters and lots of non stop action, steamy scenes, a developing love and a mystery. Great continuation to the series.

Carrie Thorne continues strong with her Demon Hunter Romance series with book two, Wildest. She continues to put a refreshing twist on her characters species and storylines. You learn the differences in werewolves. Astrid is a demon hunter that is sent to help Brodie’s pack of werewolves. Also, learn why they are taught to hate each other. Their chemistry grows and catches fire.
This story is quick, fast-paced and flows together wonderfully. It is a sweet, captivating read that has twists and turns that will shock you in the end.
Can’t wait for book three in the series to see what new refreshing twists, Carrie Thorne will have on her next set of characters.

Really enjoyed this book. Wildest is the second book in the Demon Hunter series by Carrie Thorne. It can be read as a standalone, but better read after the first book. We met Astrid in book one and she always came across as pretty reserved. It was learn her back story as to why she’s like that, but better to see that she could learn to relax. Easy going Brodie seemed like her perfect compliment and their banter had me frequently laughing out loud. Wildest is a slow burn with tons of chemistry between Brodie and Astrid. The world building and backstories Carrie has created are fantastic and I’m definitely interested in continuing with the series!

A new twist on the typical shifters concept, very enjoyable following their trials and tribulations.
Highly entertaining read, shot all my misconceptions down…
I was pleasantly surprised to get invested in this flawless story featuring a hot wolf shifter & a fearless beauty who commanded a team of demon hunters. It was funny, sexy & scary in equal parts, their respect & attraction for each other was off the charts & heart healing. Definitely a genre I will not be averse to reading in the future. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
Werewolf of Montana and his hair is perfect.
Not your usual enemies to lovers couples romance. This time the couple is a Demon Hunter and a Montana Werewolf. They have to put aside their prejudices and join forces to fight feral werewolves who are killing people. Astrid Edmond is the demon Hunter who thinks werewolves are filthy, smelly savages and should be eliminated from this Earth until she meets Boden Connery. A very handsome, sexy, muscular werewolf. Boden is not so happy to be joining forces with a demon Hunter no matter how beautiful and sexy he thinks Astrid is.
I liked this book a lot. It is well-written and very hot. It is romantic and sweet. The scene when Astrid first meets Boden I thought was good. I loved how she had to stop herself from practically drooling all over him. lol. The action was quick and fast-paced. It kept me interested to the end of the book. I am a fan of Carrie Throne’s writing. I’ve read her romances and I love them. “Running Home.” is my favorite. lol. So, when I saw she had released a new book. I immediately downloaded it. Please keep writing. lol. I received a complimentary copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I have been waiting for this book to come out ever since I read the snippet in Six. Wildest is a captivating paranormal romance between Astrid Peterson and Bodie Connery. Astrid is a strong, smart, attractive demon hunter, who is a badass and can fight like a ninja. Bodie is an Alpha werewolf who is handsome, loyal, and passionate.
This book can be read as a standalone, but I suggest reading Six first so you can understand Wildest a little better. There isn’t a lot of overlap so Six might help explain things that you might not fully understand.
I’m a paranormal romance newbie and I was really intrigued with the backstory of werewolves and feral werewolves and the difference between the two. I find it hilarious that Astrid is sent to help the werewolves first when she thinks werewolves are smelly and repulsive. The relationship between Astrid and Bodie is awkward at first since they both were taught to hate and to never trust one another. And as the story goes on, you learn more about demon hunters, werewolves, and the reasons why. The sexual tension between Astrid and Bodie is low at first then once they decide to give into their desires it goes to high and super steamy. Fingers crossed, this won’t be the last of the Connery Ranch and Noah. There is action, betrayal, passion, heat, twists, and turns in this book that will shock you and make you keep on reading into the wee hours of the morning.
I loved the sense of community and family within the Connery Ranch. It sounds absolutely beautiful with the mountains and Glacier National Park. Camp Waterfall sounds so serene and peaceful. Camping under the stars sounds amazing and makes me wish we could take travel to Montana.
I am excited to see what other demons will be featured in the other books. I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a snippet of the next book. I wonder who will be next: Vann, Lana, or Bennett. I want more of the Seven and see what comes next for my new favorite demon hunting team.
I was lucky enough to to be among the few who were gifted this title to review, and I’m so happy I was!! This is a fun and emotional story with interesting twists and turns. A definite must read!! I’m an avid paranormal fan because the stories allow a fanciful fun edge to real life interactions in an exaggerate sense. This is a fun love story that shows how having an open mind and a great sense of self can help you overcome overwhelming odds. Carrie writes with an amazing ability to transport her readers in time and place with vivid imagery and phenomenal story lines.
I’m looking forward to more from her.
Boden and Astrid draws you in right from the beginning with this exciting story. It is well written with nonstop drama that keeps you glued to the pages. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Considering this is about demons etc this was so much fun to read.
This author brought a whole new side to the werewolf side of things especially the feral side.
This crew really works well together and I really hope there will be another book to follow in this line as I am finding it totally interesting.
I would really love to read about another one of the the crew meeting their match and this author has a way with making them come out of nowhere and just stick.
I found this hard to put down once I started reading it and kept wondering what was coming next, this author doesn’t let you down with something different around each corner.
I loved it!

What I liked about this book were the characters and the story line. This book has a different slant on werewolves. Here the werewolves are half demon and half human. There are normal werewolves and there are feral werewolves. The normal werewolves live under the radar. Then there are the feral ones who are the ones who attack and kill people. Werewolves turn feral because they can’t control their anger and morph into the half and half beasts. There are also Demon Hunters who are half demon and half human. The demon who made them set their purpose to hunt the demons in the world. Astrid is a demon hunter who only knows about feral werewolves. Imagine her surprise when she meets Bodie, a normal werewolf who has requested her group’s help to remove a large group of feral werewolves threatening his pack. This is their story and it is a good one. I liked it and would recommend the book.
This story is full of dichotomies. Can a city girl fall in love with a country boy? Where will they live? Can a Demon Hunter really fall for a werewolf? This is the second book in the “Demon Hunter” romance series and it is a doozie. Be prepared. Some parts of this book are downright suspenseful.

Although second in the series this book is good as a standalone. Astrid and Bodie both have a lot of erroneous misconceptions about each other. Astrid is a demon hunter who thinks werewolves are smelly and violent beasts. Bodie is a werewolf who thinks demon hunters are vicious killers. She doesn’t like that she finds him attractive in addition to her poor social skills making things confusing for him. Both are wonderful characters and the story has a different take on werewolves.
There is a lot of violence and sex and both sometimes bogged the story down for me. It is overall a good read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from BookSirens and was under no obligation to leave a favorable review. All opinions are my own.
