I was his weakness. He was my strength. Until I destroyed him.I was infatuated with Shane Wilder since the first time I saw him surfing. But we couldn’t be together. Not yet, anyway. I was too young and screwed up. He was too focused on chasing his dream. So we became friends. We met on the rooftop for late-night confessions under the stars. Cruised along the Pacific Coast Highway with the wind in … Coast Highway with the wind in our hair and the sun on our faces.
I took photos of all the beautiful and ugly and interesting things, while he traveled the world in search of the perfect waves.
I told him I would wait for him.
I never meant to lie.
I never meant to ruin his life.
I. Destroyed. Him.
As his star faded, mine burned bright. But as everyone knows, all that glitters is not gold.
Now I’m back after seven long years, hoping for a chance to right my wrongs and fix what I’ve broken. This time I can only hope that loving Shane Wilder will be enough to save him.

In a word captivated! I wasn’t ready for this book to end, I sat up well into the wee hours of the night reading and telling myself just one more chapter and we know how that ends. 4.30am I made myself put it down so I could at least have a catnap before time to get up for work. What a brilliant book but I wanted so much more, I need to know Dylan’s and Bastian’s stories. So I’d be eternally grateful if you wrote a book for them.
This book was at one with the ocean, like the calming tide rolling in gripping our ankles while the tumultuous ebb pulled us into the depths. Unpredictable, yet grounding, relaxing, soothing and filled with an abundance of treasure. Remy and her twin Dylan have lived like gypsy’s, constantly moving every time their mother got itchy feet. However this time they vow to make Costa Del Rey their home. Remy finds a friend in Shane a pro surfer, he’s five yrs older but it’s as if fate pushes them toward each other. It’s not always pretty, they have some stormy seas and rough waves to ride.
“Now I’m back after seven long years, hoping for a chance to right my wrongs and fix what I’ve broken. This time I can only hope that loving Shane Wilder will be enough to save him.” Oh my goodness. My second novel by this author and I am hooked! What an amazing, second chance romance. The main characters, Shane and Remy are etched in my heart, and I won’t leave out Dylan either, OMG! Heart-wrenching, up-lifting, amazing writing. Hope for a rainy day off so you can sit and read uninterrupted!!!
I enjoyed this second chance/reunion story. Remy, too young to have lived the life she did, grew to regret her choices and wanted to make amends. Shane was caught up in her quickly, though she was too young when they met. Both characters had an air of innocence when they first met, a bit of free-spiritedness, but life showed them more.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
I have just been on a roller coaster of emotions after reading this book. Shane and Remy are star crossed lovers who start out with a forbidden love. I loved Remy and how strong she is. Her mother is a drifter and has drug her and her twin brother, Dylan, along through the years. Once they settle in California, Dylan and Remy decide it’s where they belong. Remy knows how to keep to herself but there is something about Shane that she is drawn to. They fight their feelings for so long until they can’t. But someone is always there to rip them apart. Circumstances get between them and they must go their separate ways. Shane might be one of my favorite characters. He is protective of those he loves to his own detriment. He believes in right and wrong, black and white and taking responiblity for ones actions. The two of them are explosive in more ways than one. I l9ved how their story unfolded and am hoping for Dylan’s story in the near future.
You know a book is amazing, and worth all the stars when it can bring out multiple emotions at once. My heart and eyes are explodingwith happy and sad tears. It’s truly one of the best books I’ve read this year!
This story is everything!! It’s a slow burn, a tragedy, but a story filled with life long love and devotion. One of the happiest endings possible.
I wish everyone had a Jimmy, a Dylan, and a Shane to love them and balance out all the sadness.
Thank you Emery Rose, for the gift of your amazing writing!
An epic love story that makes you feel every emotion and more!
Shane and Remy are the ultimate love story with drama, passion, sorrow and heartache. Every chapter captivates you in a way only a romance can. They may have their battles to face and demons to overcome but boy do they do it with passion and a love like no other.
Shane is the ulitmate guy with enough charm and wittiness about him that you cant help but fall in love. His protectiveness over Remy is just starry eyed material and nothing could be sexier than a man going all caveman over his woman.
Remy is the girl you love to love and her backgroud may be rough but she fights on top like its nothing and no matter what she proves everyone wrong.
This couple is the ultimate of ultimate couples with enough passion, love, angst, drama and heartache to have you feeling every emotion with in the first few chapters nothing beats a love like this it may be forbidden but age has nothing on Shane and Remy.
One of my top books this year
Wilder Love is the first book by this author that I have read, and I feel she definitely knows how to bring out the emotions. I loved reading and following Shane and Remy’s second chance story. I am truly looking forward to reading more by this author.
I was surprised but thoroughly excited to read this book. Reading this story made me cry like a baby and keep me on the edge of my seat waiting anxiously to see what would happen with not just the H & h, but also the other characters in the plot that make this story incredible and me keep going to the last page. Bravo Emery!
Wow, I have no words to describe all the emotions my heart went through with this book. This is definitely a story of true, everlasting, all consuming love that can survive anything thrown in its way. Remy and Shane are true soul mates and hold true to their love for each despite all of the hardships and years of separation they experience.
I especially love the tie in with the whole surfing life. The description of them falling in love in the early morning or late afternoon hours wait to catch a wave has me wishing I grew up on the coast and learned to surf.
Yes, this is a somewhat tragic love story, but it is so beautifully written and in the end, love does end up winning.
Remy and Shane are both amazing characters. This is a totally different kinda of feel then the author’s usual work but so great in it’s own way. I can not wait to see what she comes up with next.
OMFG!! WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! WILDER LOVE by Emery Rose BLEW ME AWAY and left me SPEECHLESS!!
It’s a little different then her other books but OMG…She DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!!
Right at the Very Beginning of the Book, it Captivated Me and Never Let Me Go!!
Remy at a Very young age had to grow up fast right and learn life the hard way. Then enters Shane, a very beautiful surfer with his dark secrets but with a Huge Heart of Gold.
Remy and Shane develop a friendship after learning their age differences but feel a connection like No Other.
I am not going to Spoil anything for you since there is So Much Different Unique TWISTS and TURNS INTO the UNKNOWN that Have your Jaw Dropping several times and Heartwreching Aches that will Leave you Speechless!!
You will laugh out loud and at times you might want to Throw your Tablet across the room for the characters mindsets. Then Crying your Freakn Eyes Out for their compassion with each other- Shane & Remy!
I was a Blubbering Mess after Finishing this Beautifully Written Book!!
DEFINITELY A MUST READ!!
This was a beautiful story, and I’m so glad it had a happy ending because for a while there I wasn’t so sure, but was so invested. Emery did a great job writing and making you feel all the emotions. The beginning was perfect of how Shane and Remy met, was one of my favorite parts. I did love the ending, was satisfied of the HEA. I really wanted to give it 5 stars, but I have strong feelings about cheating and didn’t love the big time gaps. But still a very very good story; definitely recommend it!
Wilder Love
This is definitely not my first rodeo from Emery and this one certainly didn’t disappoint.
This book will sweep you into a torrent of emotions and leave you breathless.
It’s sad, beautiful, raw and poetic, I laughed, yelled at my Kindle and even shed a few tears. You know it’s good when an author is able to bring all these emotions out of you.
Remy learnt to grow up early from an early stage due to some unfortunate reasons and it’s just her and her brother against the world until Shane collides into her life.
Shane, a talented surfer with a promising future meets Remy and soon they form a bond. One which later is put to the test and forever changes everything.
I won’t delve into it as I prefer the reader to go in blind.
A page turner you won’t want to put down!!
Oh and I absolutely cannot wait for Dylan’s story also!!!
Shane and Remy’s story is a beautifully written masterpiece, which is raw, gritty, emotional, humorous, heartbreaking, and with drama and angst which all lead to an amazing second chance love story. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I highly recommend this gifted authors’ work for all.
Wilder Love is an emotional, angsty, and romantic goldmine! Emery Rose has penned a book that will break your heart (probably multiple times), but then painstakingly piece it back together even better than before.

************************
This was an amazing read, and Emory Rose is quickly establishing herself as an up and coming author to watch. I adored her Beautiful series, but Wilder Love gripped my heart and doesn’t seem to want to let it go. Remy was incredible. When we first meet her, she’s so young, but you truly can’t think of her age when her strength and determination show her in a much more mature light. She’s lived a hard life, forced to grow up before her time, and the things she’s seen and endured have made her wise beyond her years. Despite her strength, she couldn’t completely hide her vulnerability, though. With the life she led, she had doubts, fears, and uncertainty, but her tenacious spirit refused to let her give up or waver in her loyalty to those she loved. It wasn’t easy, but she persevered with her head high, never giving up the fight. I loved Shane, too. Upon first meeting him, he’s the confident surfer dude leading a carefree life. You quickly learn that he uses his love of the ocean to soothe a heartbreak from his childhood. You also learn that his emotions are a lot more complex than they seem. He’s a strong and protective hero with a passion that burns bright, but a temper that can get him into trouble. As a couple, Shane and Remy just fit. From the first moment they met, there was that undeniable connection drawing them toward one another. Their romance went through hardship; some that seemed insurmountable, but that just added to the sweet, sexy, romance of it all. I loved the forbidden aspect when they started. It was all steamy build-up for what they would become and it gave me goosebumps. I also love a good second chance romance where you feel every all the anger, hurt, longing, lust, and love between the two main characters. Overall, I did not want to put this book down. I even stayed up way too late, telling myself I’d quit after just one more chapter. The storyline was tragically realistic, and told in a way that we got the details we needed for a full story without falling into the trap of using filler to keep the plot going. I’ve never surfed and don’t know much about it, but I never felt lost or like there was too much I didn’t understand. There were a few things I looked up, though, just for my own curiosity. Every word transported me to SoCal and had the scent of the salty sea air in my nose. Supporting cast was outstanding, adding another layer of goodness on top of what Shane and Remy already brought to the table. Jimmy completely stole the scenes he was in, and even the memory of his Hippie Chick warmed my heart. Shane’s friends were great side characters, especially Travis, and I wouldn’t mind seeing him get a story of his own. Bastian is just as broken and damaged as Remy was, and I’d be interested to see how he found his success and fame, but also see him happy with his own HEA. Most importantly, though, is Dylan, Remy’s twin. Their connection and support of each other was a foundation of the book. They had each other’s backs no matter what, always, and I want to see that from Dylan’s POV. Dylan is also a complex man, made up of layer upon layer of emotion, but keeping it contained. I can only hope his story is next because he deserves to find something good after the life he endured growing up. Something to complement the riches he succeeded in finding. I really thought his story could only go one way, but the end gave us just a glimpse of another possible outcome. It is probably way early, but I’m really pulling for the alternate outcome, and I anticipate a few fireworks coming from Dylan’s story. I absolutely recommend this book to everyone! It’s an emotional rollercoaster ride, but well worth the tears, both happy and sad, that you’ll shed while reading. The epilogue left me with a happy heart and a huge smile. I can’t wait to read what comes next from Emery Rose.
What an emotional story. I had tears in my eyes reading this story. It was so good. I absolutely loved it. I couldn’t stop reading. The storyline between these characters was brilliant. The chemistry was of the charts. I was so happy with how it developed and the ending. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this book. I hope we get Dylan’s story.
I loved this captivating book from beginning to end like I caught the perfect wave and wanted to enjoy the ride forever! Then a storm came and tried to drown me. I could not get enough of this couple and their dynamic relationship. Remy and Shane stole my heart and touched my soul. Two unique people that were absolutely drawn together even when the deck was stacked against them. Then a tragic accident changed things and dreams were crushed and their resolve was tested. Emery, Wilder Love is a raw, exceptional, breathtaking story that is as beautiful as it is heartbreaking, and full of devotion and never-ending love!
Tracey, Life Reads With Friends
This book put my heart through the shredder and turned it into complete mush. At times I felt Remy and Shane’s pain and it was hard to not react to it when I was reading the book in public. Some people just don’t understand! I want to shout at them that it’s more then “just a book.” I’m hoping that we get Dylan’s book next and I hope he has nothing to do with Sienna. I wanted to drop kick her so many times.
“Life. You never know what’s coming next. It doesn’t always go to plan but sometimes it turns out better than your wildest dreams.”
Oh my goodness, this book destroyed my heart and put it back together again. Remy and Shane had a once in a lifetime love, found at the wrong time in their life. What they went through, what they overcame, is so much more than I can put into words. Even though there was a level of taboo in the first half of the story, their relationship didn’t feel cheap, dirty or wrong. They were simply two souls who loved each other madly and deeply, despite society telling them that it was wrong.
And it’s not just Remy and Shane I loved, but every side character introduced (apart from Remy and Dylan’s mother. And sometimes Sienna) I adored. I’m so hoping that with the way this book ended, we’ll be seeing Dylan in his own story so he can finally find a happy ever after. What he and Remy went though, because of their mother, is more than any young person should have to endure. I just wanted to wrap my arms around Dylan, because even though this book focused on Remy, you could *feel* Dylan’s pain every time he was on the page.
There’s a lot of twists and turns in this book! It’s not your usual light-hearted book on love. This book is about pain, heartbreak, love, forgiveness, redemption. What it means to love, and to show those you love exactly how much they mean to you, since we are never promised a tomorrow. This book is also very different from the authors Beautiful series. It’s just as amazing, but very different, showcasing just how much talent this author possesses.
I won’t tell you any more about this book — you’ll just have to go experience this on your own. But trust me when I say that it’s worth it!!
**I received an advanced copy of this book, and these are my honest opinions!*
Incredible and emotional 2nd chance story! I cried and threw my tablet several times but remy and Shane’s story blew me out the world it’s beautiful and heartbreaking and it a def must be read!
