Otto:Seth Walker was my first love and I always swore he’d be my last. Even after he moved away our senior year in high school, we vowed to reunite after graduation. But when he suddenly broke things off without explanation and crushed my heart, it was my turn to run. After a decade in the navy, I’ve finally come home ready to move on with my life as Hobie’s newest firefighter. Unfortunately, the … newest firefighter. Unfortunately, the minute I set eyes on the new sheriff in town, I know I’m screwed. Hobie’s top cop is none other than Seth Walker.
Turns out, he’s come home too. And hell if he doesn’t have a lot of explaining to do.
Walker:
I thought I was doing the right thing when I walked away from Otto Wilde ten years ago without an explanation. I was wrong. I also thought I could come back home without having to face my past mistakes. I was wrong about that too.
What I’m not wrong about: The fact that my heart catches fire every time I set eyes on the sexy man. The fact that I can’t imagine my life without him. The fact that things are still just as complicated now as they were then. And the fact that I have a lot of work ahead of me if I expect to win him back.
Just when things start heating up between us again, a serial arsonist strikes and suspicion falls close to home. I already lost Otto to a secret long ago but I’ll be damned if I let another threaten to send our future up in smoke.
Because Otto Wilde is mine, and I don’t plan on ever letting him go again.
Each novel in the Forever Wilde series can be read on its own or as part of the series. Fair warning, there will be nekkid man parts touching, meddling patriarchs, sweet second-chance love themes, and a dearly departed donkey named Debbie Gibson.

I love how this is a story about fighting for love because it doesn’t come easily. And it’s written with the humor and heart that only Lucy can bring.
A hugely passionate read with a dash of mystery thrown in – which all makes for a dynamic book that’s hard to put down.

I enjoyed this book but it wasn’t my favourite of the series that I’ve read so far as I found it a bit too low angst considering that Walker decided to call it quits with no explanation 10 years prior and then when they first saw each other again after 10 years they jump straight back into things and Otto feels Walker’s wedding ring and of course was angry and then walks off but not long after that Walker explained to Otto that he’d married his brother Ken’s girlfriend as he promised him on his death bed that he’d take care of Jolie and the baby since he couldn’t do it and she had no one and their parents wouldn’t be much help but I still think Otto got over it rather quickly as he still has a right to but angry and hurt for the way Walker stopped writing letters to him or talking to him for 10 years. I enjoyed seeing Otto and Walker’s letter to each other over the years including the unsent ones.
The funniest moments were when they were having a moment and their kitten barged into the room and they both at the same time came up with the perfect name for the kitten after bickering about names for a while lol C*ckblock I really hope that they ended up naming her that and when Walker was getting his wedding ring tattooed by Nico and West and Nico get Hudson to tell him and Otto what happened with Darci and that he accidentally proposed to her with his invention that he named the head constrictor and they all pissed themselves laughing saying that he proposed using a C*ckring. I thought that the book ended a bit quickly as I wanted to know if Walker’s family ever accepted that Walker is gay and that him and Otto are in love as they were complete a*seholes to him like his brother John and his sister-in-law Beth basically told him that he can’t have his niece and nephews to have overnight sleepovers now that he’s not with Jolie as how would it look so they were basically saying that because he’s gay he must be a p*dofile and then his parents constantly telling his niece that he helped raised since birth that gay people are unnatural even knowing that he’s gay. I’m guessing Walker probably forgave them way to quickly. Even though this book had a few issues I’m still looking forward to reading Hudson’s book and I’d still recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
Good LGBTQ Book.
Part of a series which can be read stand alone but as with all of the author’s series books knowledge of the characters and the communities is significantly enhanced if they are read in order. Sheriff and Fireman – what can be hotter.
I enjoy reading the works of Lucy Lennox. She draws beautiful characters that have a depth and richness that pull the reader in and keep them interested until the very last page.
I lost sleep reading this one. I couldn’t put it down.
The glimpses into the history of Otto and Seth was lovely at times and gut-wrenching at others, coating the storyline with the love, joy, pain, and loss they each experienced before their re-connection. Yes, there is angst. There is also a powerful love and passion that never dissipated over the many years they were apart. The letters at the beginning of the chapters were particularly touching, giving added insight into these characters hearts.
Their desire, enhanced by their everlasting love, is strong and their HEA is satisfying.
I love the Wilde family. They are as supportive and loving as the Marian’s in the previous series and are just as crazy and fun to watch.
I look forward to the next book in the series.
3.5 stars
There were things I loved about this book and things that frustrated me. I loved Seth and Otto. They were child best friends, first boyfriends, and loves but one decision ruined it all. There is no doubt they are meant for each other despite a decade of loss and distance.
Now they are finally both back in Hobie, Texas together. Their reconnection is practically immediate. The chemistry and bond is still there. They know what they want, but life still has some more curveballs to throw at them. So it reads almost insta-lovey but also second-chance at the same time. But I never questioned their need for each other. But the side plots and miscommunication were a bit much at times. The situation that drove them apart was not handled well and I had a hard time believing that Seth was really that self-sacrificing for that long and could have explained himself. And a suspense plot took over much of the last part of the book and I just wanted to smack sense into Otto.
This brings back most of the crazy Wilde bunch that are so much fun. I am enjoying this series and am excited to read more.
Fun little read! The guys were a little overly teary at times, but, hey, I’m a crier, too! Good stuff.
I recommend this book if you are looking for a soap opera style story with steamy scenes, good narration, and wonderful characters.
Loved it!
Felix, the quiet cousin from Facing West was so sweet and considerate and so excited to study glass at an island. Lio the closeted prince was dealing with so much family pressure that going away to his private island to get his “head on straight” and think about his future, he never thought he would find his forever even though at the time neither could imagine a future beyond the two weeks they had together. This was such a heartwarming story with so much emotion and love pouring out. I highly recommend this book!
I really loved the story of Lior and Felix. It was so great to see Felix come into his
own and fall in love.
FELIX!! Loved him so much! This man is my favorite Wilde! I don’t know why, but something about a hot prince in another country to fall in love with makes a wonderful story! Loved this story!
I adored this book!! I will be 100% honest and admit I was a tiny bit hesitant going in. Only because of the prince hero and it had me fearing I would be reading the same thing done over once again. But that is NOT THE CASE! This book went beyond my expectations!
Felix is a cute nerd that’s sweet, kind, and shy. Totally the opposite of Lio. Lio is our Prince and hiding who he really is from Felix. They meet while Felix is visiting one of Lio’s family castles and connect from the beginning. Lio is there getting prepared for the responsibilities that are about to be dumbed on him unexpectedly. They build a friendship and the chemistry between them is off the hook HOT! The timing is not so good.
We get our favorite Wilde family thrown in and they all having us cracking up and wishing we could be apart of their close nit family. I LOVE this series so much!!
