Kidnapping her was the easy part. Now I’ve got to tame her.Runaway corporate princess, Lyssa Baylor, was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. But that’s not what I’ll be sticking in there.LYSSAFreelance princess hunter, Mason Macintyre, thinks he’s so tough with those bulging muscles. He thinks he’s so smart with his plan to tame me with spankings and submission. Well, I’ve got news for him. … and submission. Well, I’ve got news for him. They don’t call me Wild Thing for nothing.
I’ve been playing unruly princess my whole life and I’m not about to stop now.
MASON
This was supposed to be a simple kidnap job. Catch her and bring her in so she can be married off to the son of a family friend. But once her father realizes the man he hired to reform his unruly brat of a daughter won’t be able to handle her, he blackmails me into completing the job.
No one blackmails me, I don’t care how rich and powerful you are. Her father might be untouchable, but Lyssa isn’t. I’m gonna touch her all over and punish her so hard, that forced marriage will be her only way out of my little princess reform school.
WILD THING is a smokin’-hot, sexy story of a runaway princess and her reluctant Prince Charming. A tantalizing tale of forced marriage, captive submission, and a hero who doesn’t know he’s a hero until he meets the girl he was meant to save.

In true JA Huss style, Wild Thing is suspenseful and erotic. Darker than the other Naughty Things books, it might be my favorite of the series.
Mason is delicious. He’s a bad boy bounty hunter with one goal…return the spoiled runaway wild child to her father in exchange for a much-needed paycheck. He’s so sure he knows everything he needs to know about Lyssa, aka Wild Thing. But of course, this is JA Huss, so nothing is quite what it seems…
Lyssa has escaped her father’s machinations for the past few years, but she’s run out of luck with Mason (who just happens to be the most attractive guy she’s ever seen). Their attraction is intense, but he has a job to do and she needs a plan to escape her fate. My lord, this book is hot and I couldn’t get enough of this couple!
I was spellbound to the end, and loved when all the secrets started to unravel. It’s wildly good!
I do love when Ms. Huss throws a psychological loop into her already fascinating storylines!
Wild Thing– A deliciously hot and painfully twisted with front and center characters that grew on me as they evolved throughout the maddening, passionate chaos they’ve been dealt.
Who’s right, who’s wrong? Is there a grey area?
Lyssa and Mason had my mind whirling with these kinds of questions, while ping-ponging emotions!
I loved every minute of it!
Blew me away!
This Wild tale will make you HOT, make you think, and make you sigh…
Julie’s signature twists come into play in this seemingly straightforward tale of a girl gone wild. Luckily for Lyssa her tormentor is also an intelligent and inquisitive man. Mason is one controlling babysitter, but he also sees beyond Lyssa’s facades. I love having both POVs, taking us behind the scenes, yet it reads like we’re watching their story in a movie. And most of all I love the true romance behind the steamy premise of taming this wildcat woman.
The best thing about JA Huss is that you never get what you think you are going to! There is a twist everywhere and I LOVE IT! I assumed Wild Thing was going to be a short and dirty book (and I was excited about that), but what I got was soooooooo much better! I love JA Huss! This is not necessarily the lightest of her newest series, but it was still amazing! I am still in shock over the twist, but I LOVED THIS BOOK!!
Ready For This Clever, Steamy, Dirty Read!! Mason Macintyre is a bounty hunter hired to kidnap and tame Lyssa Baylor for a forced prearranged marriage. Little does Mason soon learn her nickname “wild thing” is so very true and trying to tame her is easier said than done. Will he be able to actually tame this wild rich “princess” or will he enjoy getting her to submit a little too much? What secrets are hidden that Lyssa is being forced into a marriage? This book is a fast read and but doesn’t skimp on the Heat Factor or the twists! Such a enjoyable book that has a major twist you won’t see coming! Told in dual POV Another Winner from Julie!!!
Wild Thing (Naughty Things #3) is fantastic! It’s darker than the previous two books in the series and I loved Mason and Lyssa. It’s witty and disturbing at times as well as sizzling hot and very sexy, with some twisted twists that I never saw coming. The narrators are great and I highly recommend it!
This one is so hard to review. By no means was this book terrible. Fans of this author will love Mason and Lyssa. I really don’t even know how to explain how I felt about Wild Thing. The book is actually pretty good and intriguing. It’s a very sexy and hot captive romance with a bit of darkness thrown in that JA Huss is famous for. But honestly, I didn’t love this one. I’m not gonna lie, the thought of being kidnapped and at the mercy of my hot captor is a huge turn on, but I don’t know why I couldn’t get into the story or the characters. Lyssa doesn’t grow on me despite how much she changes from the girl we meet the beginning and the person she is made out to be. I felt nothing for Mason and his messed up predicament. As this twisted story unfolded, I kinda didn’t care. That’s saying a lot coming from me because I love dark and twisted stories and I felt it in my gut something was seriously off about a lot of things happening in the story. I really wish I could have loved this one. It could be that the first two books in the series totally ruined me. So that’s what I’m gonna chalk it up to. Wild Thing was just ok to me as compared to the first two books in the series, but in no way is it bad.
Twisted! Confusing until the last chapters. Mason is a knight riding in on a white horse, er….Mercedes. Lyssa has been through so much and when all is revealed it’s twisted. Brave doesn’t even begin to describe her. Lost for so long, Mason cared enough to figure out who she really was. He gave her back her freedom and spirit.
It was boring and the ending was rushed.
Wild Thing… I think I love you
You know when you pick up a JA Huss book it is going to be hot. And this one certainly is. With this “series” the first two books had more of a sweet romance vibe to them, in this one Huss reverts back toward her twisty, dark roots. (Please note that this series is truly 3 complete standalone books. Characters do not show up in the other books.)
I wasn’t at all sure what I was getting when I started reading this book. It starts off with Mason “kidnapping” Lyssa. Now, I mean that seems a little twisted in itself. However, once Lyssa’s dad coerces Mason into taming the princess… that’s when you actually get the feeling that all is not right in this world! And then I got taken on a journey where I just couldn’t anticipate what was going to happen.
Wild Thing held me captive from start to finsh. It is twisty, a bit dark, sexy as hell but somehow also has a touch of sweetness and romance.
Lyssa is known as the Wild Thing! She appears to be rich women who just wants to have fun and be wild. But there are secrets that she is running from, some of which she really doesn’t even understand herself. Her father (really stepfather that adopted her when she was younger) wants her to marry a business associate to benefit both business. Lyssa doesn’t agree so she has been “running” away from her father but things are getting down to the wire and her father wants her to fulfill her responsibilities.
Mason is a bounty hunter who was hired by her father to get Lyssa and bring her to her new home. Mason was paid a lot of money to do this and Lyssa gives him a really big fight! Once he gets Lyssa and brought her to her home, he feels like there’s more to what Lyssa’s father has told him. When Lyssa scares away her “tutor” to make her into a lady, Mason is given the proposition to do the job. He takes the job since he was getting 5 million dollars but while he spends time with Lyssa, he finds out that she isn’t as wild as he father made her out to be and that there’s something going on that is hurting Lyssa.
Mason and Lyssa are attracted to each other since they first met and as they spend more time together, they realize that they want to get to know each other more and act on their attraction. As they spend more time together, Mason starts to figure out what is going on with Lyssa and what her father is doing to her.
When Mason figures out what is going on, he will do whatever he needs to in order to help Lyssa and confront her father with his suspicions. Mason shows Lyssa how deep his feelings for her are and that he wants to be with her. When Lyssa starts to remember some of her secrets, Mason is there to help her. It’s such an interesting story with some unexpected secrets thrown in!
Julie did not disappoint!! Just when you think this is your typical story of a spoiled rich girl and down to earth Bounty Hunter, you find the twist in the story. You think you know this story but then BZONKA!! Thanks Julie for another great mind f***!!
This was by far the best book in this stand-alone series!! It has all the twists and turns that I love when reading!!!
Holy twisted princesses!! I know I have said like a million times about how much I love the twists and turns this author comes up with and while I knew something was weird with Lyssa but I did not see that coming.
Mason was a great surprise too, who knew kidnappers could so hot?!? I absolutely adored the ways that Mason and Lyssa complimented each other.
Lyssa was a hot mess but she knew what she did and didn’t want, accomplishing that was the hard part; but when Mason entered the picture, things started to change.
This book is a complete standalone and totally worth the read. I highly recommend that you grab this book today and get started immediately!!
I cannot say this enough, but you can never go wrong with a J.A. Huss book. She is a very versatile author that gives us sweet to dark and twisted stories to everything in between. Wild Thing is more on the darker side and twisted and I loved it! This was a forced marriage and a bit of submission read with all kinds of steaminess and surprises along the way.
Mason is hired by Lyssa’s father to kidnap her and now he has to tame her. But Lyssa is one wild princess and used to doing what she wants. No man will tame her, right? Mason is an alpha with a surprising sweet and protective side. Lyssa is not afraid to go after what she wants or hide her wild side. Imagine their surprise when they cannot deny their attraction. Wild Thing by J.A. Huss was such a steamy story with a bit of mystery and a quick read.. This was a great read and one I would recommend.
4.5-stars. Read and reviewed for Sultry Siren Book Blog.
Happy reading.
While I enjoyed the first two books in this series, this one is my favorite.
This story is a little darker, dirtier, and a little bit of a mystery. Lyssa has all kinds of issues, and definitely acts like a “wild thing”. Mason needs the money, and seems to actually be an upstanding guy.
If you are a fan of Julie’s, you will most certainly enjoy this. Although this is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone.
Alway expected the unexpected with JA Huss books. Things are usually not as they appear. Lyssa just seems like your average spoiled socialite that loves to party. Mason Macintyre a bounty hunter has been sent to bring her to her stepfather so she could full her duties of the arranged marriage her stepfather set up. Once Mason gets her to her estate he realizes something is not quite right. Mason doesn’t consider himself a knight and shinning armor but he ends up feeling like he needs to rescue Lyssa. He realizes there is much more to her that he originally though she just need someone on her side.
This is the final book in this series. All these books are standalones and can be read as such. They are not linked in anyway.
Just when I thought JA Huss was going to give us another sweet quick read. She does what she does best and twists things up. This was a fast paced sexy read filled with twists and turns and a very twisted ending. So not what I was expecting. I love JA Huss’s books she always keeps us on our toes. And you never now what to expect even when you think you do.
Another fabulous book from JA Huss! I’ve loved these shorter stand alone books. Absolutely no connections between them they can be read in any order.
Mason starts out by kidnapping Lyssa the spoilt rich Wild Thing, in order to return her for an arranged/forced marriage. And then things change…
This book certainly had me intrigued – Lyssa’s personality, the estate, and more. There’s plenty of heat between this couple, with some steamy scenes. A well paced story, very enjoyable book.
Another great book by this author. Could not put it down.
