She’s tied up at work…by the boss! Gotta love it!

Cinderella meets bad boy dom
Lochlan plans to never marry or have kids, May has an instant family, since her brother and his wife died in a car accident. She is caring for two nieces and her mom, plus she has a new job with a demanding boss! When things go south at home, and Lochlan sees what May’s life is like, he wants to help her. So what do you do when someone is too proud to ask for or receive help? Well, in Lochlan’s case, you take charge, no matter what, it’s all he knows! This book is steamy, sexy and sweet all rolled up in a beautiful package! I am still totally in love with this series, and you should be too!
Lochlan Wallace was everything I hoped he would be: smart, bossy, protective, and sure of his future – until a woman came along that knocked him off his axis. I loved the way Lochlan grew and changed throughout the book and was especially happy when his father, grandfather, and cousin were all able to impart some wisdom to help him find perspective on his relationship with May. I love the characters Mari Carr has created in her Wild Irish and Wilder Irish series and especially enjoy the close family ties that she highlights in each book. The way May fought to keep Lochlan from helping her solve her problems was equal parts admirable and irritating. I found myself wanting to jump into the book and tell her she needed to be willing to accept help, that she didn’t have to take care of everything alone. This story sucked me in and kept me coming back for more, waiting with baited breath to see how Lochlan would pull out his happy ending.
This book was so sweet. It was sexy and swoon worthy too. The characters drew me in. I could not put the book down once I started it. I just love the Collins clan!
Mari Carr needs a standing ovation!!! I didn’t think anything could beat March Winds for me but this is a close second. Maybe it’s the name Patrick LOL.
Patrick “Lochlan” Wallace and May Flowers are the perfect couple. My favorite parts of the series are always with Pop Pop and how the books start off with Pop Pop and the grandchild then at the end with his wall of pictures (always gets me tearing up). The book had the perfect mix of dominant/submissive, romance, drama and always always always lots of laughs and love from all the family!
Lochlan’s sneaky assistant is retiring. He is stubborn and doesn’t want her to retire so he ignores her possible replacements. Sally then hires May Flowers. There is something about her that is calling to him. I won’t ruin any good parts but I love how he is so adamant about never wanting the “k” word but when May’s life includes them he is the perfect protector/”VIKING”.
I love when he gives May an ultimatum about the word FINE and she then tells him she’s fine!!!
Thank you Mari for giving us another wonderful book in Wilder Irish. I can’t wait to see who is the next to fall for “the curse”.
Fall in love so hard if leaves bruises!!!
Tied up by her boss? Love it. Sexy fun book in a great series!
Book five in Wilder Irish series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. This is a spin off / next generation of the Wild Irish series. I love reading about the big Collins clan. Each story is about a different family member and their HEA. Lochlan has sworn to never marry or have the K word (kids). He is happy running his own company and making millions. How the mighty fall, or as the Collins family says the Collins curse as he goes into Viking protector mode for his assistant May. May is new to the assistant job and is barely keeping her family together. She wants to be taken seriously and not seen as just young or pretty. I enjoyed this office romance, super sweet!
When May starts her job as the personal assistant for Lochlan, he is not happy about it, because he thinks she is too young and inexperienced. But May soon shows that she can handle the job. And when Lochlan finds out that May’s personal life is a complete mess, he decides that he will help her no matter what. Soon, Lochlan is not only smitten with May, but also with her mother and Chloe and Jenny who are living with May after her parent’s death. Lochlan who never wanted kids or a family slowly realizes that his priorities change very fast.
May Flowers is a well written story from Mari Carr. I fell in love with Lochlan, May and the children right from the beginning. I also liked the secondary characters very much. The steamy scenes were very naughty and hot. I was so engrossed by the story that I read it in one sitting. I loved reading this book!
This was a sexy and sweet, good old fashioned, confirmed bachelor falls for secretary, story. Lochlan recognizes something in May the moment he meets her. He resists, but that is his brain, his heart and soul won’t let him back away from her. He falls hard, he falls fast, and once he realizes he has, he is all in for the beautiful woman
May has secrets, she has suffered, and she is barely surviving. This job is too important to let an affair with the boss mess things up. No matter how many sexy dreams he conjures up, she just can’t. She has been convincing herself everything is fine for so long, letting go is a dream. But May doesn’t deal in dreams, reality is at her all day, every day
Lochlan is rather stubborn, and May just needs to give him an inch, and he will give her the world!
This book is going down as one that I read in one sitting. I literally could not put this book down, for any reason! It was so amazing, that as soon as I was done, I had to go back and read it again!
Lochlan Wallace is a driven man. With a little help from family, he has built his tech company from the ground up, into an international company. Now, the woman who helped him build it all, is leaving him. Despite begging and pleading on his part for her to stay, his admin assistant is retiring. In his refusal to admit defeat, he left complete control of the hiring of her replacement to her, and he doesn’t even meet her before her first day. Boy, was he thrown for a loop! He, the bachelor for life, determined never to marry or have kids, doesn’t know what to think, or what to do! It’s phenomenal!
May Flowers is a woman who just can’t get ahead. For years, she has had the world on her shoulders, and with each passing day, it just gets heavier. She thinks she has finally caught a break with this new job, but then she meets her boss. Sparks fly, and heat ensues. He is not what she expected in a boss, and doesn’t react to the things that are thrown at her the way she thinks he should.
I don’t think I can accurately portray the love I have of the Collins Clan. Each new book, each new relationship, builds on the strength of commitment and love of family that they are brought up on. The strong ties, loyalty, and unconditional love that they have for each other, makes for some really amazing books. May Flowers is one of those books that is going to stick with the reader. There is just enough naughty to balance out the sweet, just enough drama to keep the happy from being overpowering. This book, this series, is definitely one that is on the top of my “recommend” list for any of my friends!
I loved reading Wild Temptation, Mari Carr’s latest Wilder Irish book. I have loved the Collins right from the beginning and I love that this author is writing these heartwarming and totally sexy stories of the next generation. I really enjoy the way the story begins with Pop Pop and baby Lochlan and then move to him as an adult. May Flowers’ introduction to Lochlan put a smile on my face and I loved the chemistry between them. Lochlan really showed his big Collins heart with the way he handled May’s family situation and trying to take care of her. My heart melted at how he immediately embraced and loved her nieces. Besides being super sweet and caring, Lochlan was so dominant and hot when it came to sex. Not only did May get scorched under Lochlan’s hands, so did my ereader. Another fantastic story and I cannot wait for the next one.
Wild Temptation is the 5th book in the Wilder Irish series. It’s a stand alone Contemporary Romance with an Office Romance Trope with some Sub/Dom BDSM. This book contains characters that are a family of Irish descents and a pub called Pats, which makes you want to pull up a stool any day of the week and just “belong”. The HEA completed this book because I was not feeling a connection with the H/H. I did enjoy the interconnecting characters of the Wild series because it let us in on what’s been happening since we last read their story.
This book is the story of Billionaire Lochlan Wallace and his PA May Flowers. Lochlan wants no part of marriage and kids until he meets his new PA and he’s star struck the minute he lays eyes on her. May is young, innocent, raising her 2 nieces and trying to take care of her mom who has dementia so she has no time for relationships. Eventually, Lochlan catches her and she thinks they are only having an affair and that she’s not good enough for him. He sets out to prove to May that he’s lost without her and that he’s fallen just as hard for her family as he has for her…
The curse taking down another in record time! Absolutely love every prologue in this series.. love reading each individual Pop Pop interaction. Lochlan is a Viking in every sense of the word and conquered May’s heart!
