He’s the quiet brooding guy who’s owned my heart since I was sixteen but has refused to claim it.
I’m the naïve woman who believes that someday our time will come.
I just didn’t realize that someday would include waking up in Vegas with a raging hangover and a ring on my finger.
If we believed in fate, maybe one of us would’ve trusted that something more powerful than ourselves interceded … ourselves interceded because our love is one of tangled vines. As twisted and frayed as they’ve become over the years, they’ve never broken.
An annulment seemed like the easy way out. We should’ve known it wouldn’t be fate that intervened, but our Italian Mamas. They can deliver Oscar-worthy performances when heaping on the guilt.
We thought it’d be easy to pretend to be a happily married couple in front of our families for three months and then say we gave it our best shot and go our separate ways.
But nothing is easy when it comes to Dominic Mancini and me. Nothing.

Piper Rayne saved the best for last!!! I adored this couple so much!! I can’t wait to see what they come up with for the next book!.
I had the opportunity to read an ARC, and it was SO good! Dom is now my favorite Mancini, which is saying a lot, since I wasn’t really sure I was even going to like him!
Waking up married in Vegas, Dom and Val are guilted into giving their marriage a real shot. Instead of taking this as a sign that maybe they really can make it work, they decide to fake their way through it. But as the lines begin to blur, they must learn to find a way to trust in one another before they lose each other for good.
Dom and Val are so perfect together, and it is such a shame that it takes them so long to find their HEA. Their lives are intertwined, and, for most of the book, all we know is that something happened to push them apart, and they have never really been able to find a way back.
Watching them dance around their feelings pulled at my heart, and the twists and turns along the way were a punch to the gut. Who knew Dom was the deep and soulful brother? When this Mancini falls, he falls hard and goes all in!
Though I very much enjoyed this book, there were little things that kept it at 4 stars, including how often the characters relied on assumptions and the over the top cultural stereotypes (which runs through the whole series).
Wild and Steamy Hookup brings back our favorite characters from both the Blue Collar and White Collar series, and it introduces some new and entertaining characters (hello Gia!). A great addition to the series, and I cannot wait for Blanca’s book!!
Highly anticipated Dom’s story! After getting bits and pieces of both Dom and Val through the past books, we finally get their story and thankfully it is the pair together! With their past together stemming from childhood, we not only wonder what happened before to cause the break up, but then what happened as adults to cause another. With feelings pent up and not shared, after a drunken night in Vegas the pair end up married with no recollection, and when their parents find out, they are forced to not move forward with an annulment right away. Being forced to stay together, they save face with everyone except who already knows, but behind closed doors develop a situation with benefits for both. But when the benefits cause their feelings to come back and their communication skills lacking, miscommunication and assumptions threaten to ruin their budding relationship. A thoroughly enjoyable book from this pair, it was comical reading the back and forth and just wanting them to be together! Can’t wait to get the next story from this family – hopefully Blanca!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I always know I’m in for a fun, sexy ride when reading a Piper Rayne story, and these ladies didn’t disappoint!!
Dom MIGHT be my favorite Mancini. We got glimpses of him in the first two books of this series, and he always sucked me in. Val is perfect for him. She’s sexy, fun, smart, and driven, on top of being a kick ass mama. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. I love the history they have together, and that they still seem to come back to each other every time.
What would this book me without some meddling Mancini’s, a few games of rock, paper, scissors, and some steamy sexy sections that we’ve come to love from these two.
I definitely recommend grabbing this amazing story!!!
Dom and Val are just the best. Dom is the older much more serious strictly workaholic brother of the Mancini tribe. He has loved Val since they were kids and she has loved him the same and longer but circumstances and Dom’s worry over working so hard to never have to be concerned about money pushes them apart. Years later they try to the friends with benefits deal and that doesn’t work out for them so months later they wake up in Vegas in a post night of drinking haze married to each other. I loved these two together, they had a lot to work through and added Italian mother guilt they had to try to make their marriage work. They had chemistry like no other but their communication skills were seriously lacking and probably the root of all their issues. I was happy to see the other brothers, the Blanco’s and the whole family. They are funny and make me laugh especially Carm. A great book and can’t wait for more.
A love that stands the test of time! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
5 Star Review
I was so excited to read Dom’s story as seeing him in Dirty Flirty Enemy. An emotional second chance romance that will keep you on your toes. Val and Dom have loved each other since they were kids and this is their story that you will want to read. I loved this story and didn’t want it to end! Piper Rayne is one of my one-clicks and this will not disappoint.
4.5*
I swore Carm was going to be my favorite of the Mancini brothers, but boy was I ever wrong! It’s always the quiet, unassuming ones that sneak up on you and steal your heart. And that’s exactly what Dominic Mancini did- he snuck in there and made me fall head over heels for him. After that brief glimpse we got at the end of Dirty Flirty Enemy, I could not wait to see what Piper Rayne had in store for Dom.
Wild Steamy Hook-Up was such a great second chance romance. Although I wanted to shake both Dom and Val at certain points- communication is key, people, I really enjoyed their story. They had so much history, but it seemed like things were always conspiring to keep them apart. Until what happens in Vegas sure didn’t stay in Vegas!
I like when Piper & Rayne deviate a little from the romcoms we usually get from them, and give us a story that’s more emotional and thoughtful. Sure, Wild Steamy Hook-Up had it’s funny moments- how could it not with the Mancini brothers and their family! But Dom and Val’s story had a lot of heart, and I felt so much for both of them, as they tried to reconcile their feelings about everything that was happening between them. At times it was frustrating to sit on the sidelines as they second guessed the other’s feelings- you could tell they were meant to be, they just had a hard time of letting themselves believe it. While it took Dom and Val a little longer than I would have liked to get out of their own heads, I really enjoyed the journey they took to get to their hea.
Dom was easily my favorite Mancini brother in the series up to this point, so I had high expectations for his book. He was such a secretive and brooding character, I was desperate to find out exactly what his deal was!
I really liked Val, the heroine. She had a really sweet demeanor and was driven and caring. You could tell she had true and deep feelings for Dom from the get-go. There was nothing about her character that I didn’t like. She was safe. Maybe a little too safe.
I loved this couple together. They were a moth and a flame. But their history kept them at arm’s length when it came to the reality of their feelings for one another. It was endearing the first time they denied their emotions but after about the 10th time, I lost interest. Dom and Val just seemed to be stuck in this vicious cycle of denial and hurting one another. Even a drunken marriage in Vegas couldn’t save them from their self destructive behavior. It seemed like the entire read they were both fighting what was right in front of their faces. Their friends and family saw it plain as day and wanted to smack them both in the back of the head for being so blind.
I enjoyed the book. I loved the steamy romance. I liked the slow burn to a point. I adored the Italian family butting in and providing unnecessary commentary but also loving support. But there was just something missing. It seemed like the same scenario kept repeating over and over and brought nothing new to the story. The ending was satisfying and made me feel good about sticking with the read and finishing it. I rated Wild Steamy Hook-Up 4 stars because it had it’s moments of amazingness but overall was lacking something to keep me vested and craving more from Dom and Val. The potential for explosives were there but fizzled out.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author or their PR company.
Wild Steamy Hook-Up is the third book in the White Collar Brothers series, and while they can technically all be read as standalone’s I highly recommend reading them all!
From the very first time Dom was introduced I knew his story would be different from his brothers. He was quiet and brooding, seemingly against relationships, and definitely had lots of secrets. Well all was finally revealed in this book, and it was definitely worth the wait!
Dom & Val were such frustrating characters. Half the time I loved them, and the other half I wanted to strangle them! The history and love between the two are obvious to everyone but them, and their journey is nothing short of a roller coaster ride. I loved how past and present were blended together to tell their story, and the chemistry between them was definitely hot.
The family aspect is even more apparent in the book, and I loved how the big Italian family was represented. The banter between the brothers is always entertaining, and I loved that their sister and significant others were present as well. And I loved Val’s relationship with Ryder! I wish we had more scenes with them, but seeing how close they are and how she always puts him first was perfectly clear.
Wild Steamy Hookup is definitely different than the first two books, and I loved it! And that epilogue!! I can’t wait to see what’s next!
Holy Crap! I’ve been waiting for Dom’s book since the Blue Collar series! I’m totally NOT disappointed, this book is amazing! I love the second chance romance, and the love-hate thing that Dom and Val have going on. But… I LOVE the mommas even MORE! Who actually goes to Vegas, hooks up with an old flame, gets married and doesn’t remember it, only to have your mommas tell you that you have to stay married, Dom and Val do! Between the mommas and the rest of the Mancini family, I could not stop, I wanted more and more, until it was over and I still wanted MORE!!
Love Love Love!
I’ve said it before and will say it again, Piper Rayne ALWAYS saves the best for last! Wild Steamy Hookup is book three in the White Collar Brothers series and my favorite of the bunch! The ladies brought their A-game with this story as Dom and Val’s second chance romance made me cry one minute and laugh the next. I was so frustrated as the story played out with Dom and Val not being honest with each other and why they ended the way the did and I was on the edge of my seat just rooting for the two of them. This truly was an amazing second chance romance with all the feels!
Wild Steamy Hook-Up by Piper Rayne in one sitting like the world is ending. Because I absolutely cannot get enough of this witty, funny, sexy and heartwarming story. Piper Rayne won my heart all over again with the amazing characters, captivating storyline and flawless writing. I am seriously thinking they cannot make a single mistake while writing a perfect contemporary rom com.
Dominic Mancini is the last man standing while the other brothers fall for the love of their lives. He may seem too much occupied with work and money but the truth is his heart belongs to Valentina. Childhood sweetheart. Best friend. First love. First heartbreak. Married to a douchebag and with a grown up boy. In one word unattainable and off limits. But one drunken night, an accidental marriage and a family guilt trip later, it is all new game. Valentina has not moved on after all. They have complicated history with burdens of a lifetime. But what happens in Vegas, doesn’t always stay there.
This is a second chance, lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romance. Oh I am so in love with Dom. He can be an irritating, rude, overbearing, stubborn and cluless with a completely misplaced sense of responsibility. But he is so perfect. He let Valentina go for her happiness but when he claims his love, that is so beautiful and heartwarming. And my heart was breaking for Valentina. She has such a vulnerable and unhappy part in her soul. She sacrificed so much for others but her own heart was a warzone of longing, angst and heartache. Piper Rayne nailed the passionate, soul deep and enthralling chemistry between them. The slow burn, the push and pull, the up and down was killing me! The pain, the pleasure and the love entangled together. And I love reading about the big Italian family. This is something special in every Piper Rayne’s story and I thoroughly enjoy the warmth of simple human bonds, romantic or not.
Wild Steamy Hook-Up by Piper Rayne was a delicious treat for my heart. It was the complete entertainment package. It was sweet and passionate. It was dirty, sassy and hilarious. It was just the right kind of heartaching angsty to capture my heart. Piper Rayne brilliance at it’s best!
Received ARC for Honest review
OHMIGOSH! Dom is abso-freaking-lutely perfect! I loved finally knowing who he was sneaking off with in Carm’s book! And the history…sigh…it was just so wonderful & heartfelt! Dom & Val’s chemistry was off the charts! These two can steam up my kindle like no others!
Reading about Val and Dom relationship was a page Turner!
The love between those two
I really enjoyed this one, read it in one sitting!
Oh how the mighty have fallen. Finally in Wild Steamy Hook-Up we see Dominic Mancini, workaholic playboy, fall and fall hard. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas except when you get caught naked, hungover and married to your childhood sweetheart, the one who got away, the one who slipped through your fingers, the one who makes your d*ck hard (his words not mine). Valentina, the girl next door, the best friend, the crush, forced to marry a man she didn’t love after a one night stand left it’s mark. The fire and heat between these two is off the charts. Getting accidentally hitched after a drunken night in Vegas, so out of character for them but none the less fitting for them as a “couple”. Trying to keep the marriage and subsequent annulment under wraps is kinda like keeping an Italian’s hands tied up – impossible. God I love their meddling mommas and the craziness that is the Mancini family. Staying hitched and giving their impromptu nuptials a shot is not what they want but what their good ole know it all mammas demand and thank God no Italian child would think to cross their mothers. Honestly there were times I wanted to backhand the both of them for their stubbornness and stupidity while at the same time cheering them on. It wasn’t easy, it wasn’t without suffering but finally these two childhood sweethearts find their steamy happily ever after.
I voluntarily read an ARC and decided to leave an honest review.
Dominic Mancini and Valentina Cavallo fell in love too soon. Like the Ed Sheeran song Perfect, their lives were never in sink but they had always given each other their firsts and deep down they believed they would always end up together. But Dom was young and put success ahead of his love for Valentina and their lives went in different directions.
Thirteen years later Dom and Val are given a second chance in Vegas. But Dom has a secret and doesn’t do vulnerable anymore. Val has been burned one too many times and she has a responsibility that must always comes first. The truth is they have hurt each other in the past and are afraid to trust their hearts and instead take the easy way out. Or do they?
Return to the White Collar Brothers Series to find out how the only thing bigger than Italian families is their love for each other. Piper Rayne spices up the story with sexual tension and holy cannoli can they burn up the sheets! Dive in for another enjoyable, steamy read!!
Dominic Mancini wakes to find his life has changed. Valentina Cavallo is not quite sure what she’s gotten herself into. I came to the conclusion that these two showed me what I’m missing by not coming from an Italian family.
If you don’t laugh a lot here, you’ll at least get a chuckle or two or three out of it. These authors make it seem very easy when they create their comedic scenes. And the funny thing is, it’s very easy to picture the scene actually happening. They are the perfect pair. For me, I can’t say which author wrote what or if they even chose what character(s) they wrote. And I don’t care because they are the perfect pair and they always leave me wanting more.
Some may say this is a story of second chances but I didn’t feel that our couple actually every had first ones. I did, however, feel like Valentina had a case of unrequited love. With Dominic, I felt like he couldn’t see what was right in front of him. It was the perfect ending for these two but it left me a little sad because there’s no date for the next Mancini story.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Finally, Dominic’s story! And what a complicated story it is!
Dominic is a true broody, silent type, we have gotten hints and glimpses of this in Carm and Enzo’s stories. However, you don’t have to read those to fully enjoy Dominic and Valentina’s story.
Dominic and Valentina have such a complicated and long history together and apart. While I could see Dominic’s reasons for doing what he did when it came to their relationship, I also wanted to beat him about the head and shoulders! Why oh why?!?
Oh Valentina, talk about holding out hope!! This gal is the true meaning of a soul mate. The true meaning of understanding someone better than they understood themself.
How Dominic and Valentina fit together, when those moments happened were spectacular! They were truly two puzzle pieces that fit together. Their physical chemistry was hotter than Hades. Their emotional chemistry was beautifully flawed and sometimes bordered on painful, but in the most pleasurable way!
I really enjoyed this series, it wasn’t all hearts and flowers and unicorn rainbows. This series was sometimes gritty, sometimes raw and felt very real! Well done Ms. Piper and Ms. Rayne for another epic series!!
5+ Stars
I was greatly looking forward to Wild Steamy Hook-Up ever since the teaser at the end of Piper Rayne’s previous book. I’m happy to say I was not disappointed. It was an outstanding book!
Dom is secretive, brooding, and very private. Val is sweet and such a great mother. Both of them are very stubborn but have off the charts chemistry.
The plot is steady and full of angst. It is such a roller coaster of emotions! At times I wanted to reach out and knock Dom and Val’s heads together; they just couldn’t admit the truth. The secondary characters really added to the story, especially Lulu and her daughter.
Wild Steamy Hook-Up is the third book in the White Collar Brothers series. I didn’t think I would like Dom as much as Enzo and Carm, but I was happily mistaken. I highly recommend this book and series!
I have been really enjoying this series and I really want to thank Piper and Rayne for bringing me back to my younger days growing up in Brooklyn NY, in my close knit neighborhood with all of the Italian families and knowing that what they write about Italian families being close and “Mama guilt” is 100% true. 😉
Dominic Mancini is the story I wanted most of all, he was always the quiet one, the mysterious one, the one you knew had his heart broken but didn’t know how or why or by whom. Well, we end the series with his story and it’s a perfect way to say good-bye to the Brothers….although I know they will be popping up again because Blanca, their sister will be getting her story at some point in the future in another series perhaps or maybe a standalone..only time will tell for sure.
Dominic Mancini and Valentina Daniella Cavallo (Val) have a complicated past to say the least, and it only gets more complicated when they wake up in Vegas MARRIED!!! Yes folks you read that right, married with rings and a marriage license to prove its all real. Now this is where the mama guilt comes into play, and lets face it…mama knows best.
This book had me laughing out loud but it also pulled at my heartstrings. This one was more emotional and the other two in the series but that is because of the history Dom and Val shared.
This book is extremely easy to recommend because its a read I feel everyone can enjoy. But remember over 17 please due to content.
Happy Reading!!!
