He’s the quiet brooding guy who’s owned my heart since I was sixteen but has refused to claim it.
I’m the naïve woman who believes that someday our time will come.
I just didn’t realize that someday would include waking up in Vegas with a raging hangover and a ring on my finger.
If we believed in fate, maybe one of us would’ve trusted that something more powerful than ourselves interceded … ourselves interceded because our love is one of tangled vines. As twisted and frayed as they’ve become over the years, they’ve never broken.
An annulment seemed like the easy way out. We should’ve known it wouldn’t be fate that intervened, but our Italian Mamas. They can deliver Oscar-worthy performances when heaping on the guilt.
We thought it’d be easy to pretend to be a happily married couple in front of our families for three months and then say we gave it our best shot and go our separate ways.
But nothing is easy when it comes to Dominic Mancini and me. Nothing.

Dom and Val are explosive with their hot and cold, back and forth selves!!. Lana~White Hot Reads
Their love is one that stands the test of time. They have been in love with each other since childhood but as you know life gets in the way. This story is about them figuring it out in only true Piper Rayne fashion. Full of love, guilt and passion, these two have to learn to figure it out.
Gah, the feels in this one! Dominic Mancini is all about work and living happily ever bachelor with his money. Even Ebenezer Scrooge had love in his life at some point… In this book we get to experience a glimpse into Dominic’s past and – for those that read the previous book in the series – what he was up to in the Hamptons last summer (prev book not required but is recommended). A few tissues were destroyed while reading this. Forewarned is forearmed or something like that… There were also thoughts of back-of-the-head smacks for Dominic’s and Valentina’s stubbornness.
Wild Steamy Hook-Up was a more emotional book but still had some Piper Rayne humor that we’ve come to expect. I would definitely recommend the whole series but this one was the standout for me in the White Collar Brothers series. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.
Finally Dom’s story!!! Dom was a mystery in his brother’s books and it all makes sense. Val and Dom’s story isn’t the easiest relationship but their’s was more realistic to me. I still need more of the Mancini brothers and I can’t wait to read Blanca’s story.
I always look forward to all of Piper Rayne’s books! But this one took the cake! I absolutely love their writing style. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The chemistry between Dom and Val is amazing and hot! There is so much feeling to this story. Feelings of love, aggravation, lust, etc. I am not going to lie, I wanted to throw my kindle a few times because of the stubbornness of these two.
Dominic and Valentina both had so much drama in their lives. Add Marriage to the mix and that is a whole new story. I loved the chemistry between Dom and Val.
Wild Steamy Hook-up is the third book in the White Collar Brothers Series. It can be read as a standalone. I can’t wait to read more by these ladies!
5 Star Review Wild Steamy Hook- Up (White Collar Brothers #3) by Piper Rayne
The third book in the series about the Mancini family and is Dominic and Valentina (Val) Daniella Sommerland’s story, a second chance at love story that ticked all the boxes for me.
I will admit that there were times that I wanted to smack some sense in to Dom.
Val has been in love with Dom since she was 16 and despite their hook-ups, she has always believed that she and Dom would make a future together one day. Pity Dom doesn’t feel the same way.
The chemistry between Dom and Val is intense and impossible to ignore. They say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas but what happens when a drunken night of passion ends in a marriage neither expected, or do they?
Can they get an annulment or divorce before their families find out? Neither Dom or Val count on the interference of their families and I found myself laughing when their mothers played the “Italian” guilt trip card.
As with other books I have read from this dynamic duo, the writing was strong and I have no idea where one author finished and the other took over.
The miss communication and misunderstandings between Dom and Val lead to several frustrating and at times humorous moments but through it all the chemistry blazed. Will Dom and Val learn from their past mistakes?
I was excited for Dom’s story and Piper and Rayne did not disappoint. Now to wait, not so patiently for Blanca’s story….
