Triple threat coming in HOT!! Finn has found his girl, in a dear friend who recently moved back to Baltimore. Miguel met a beautiful young woman one night as he answered a call for a robbery. He is now torn between his attraction to her and his love for Finn. Layla is looking for a fresh start after a five yr relationship. She isn’t looking for love, she wants casual one night stands. How do you approach your best friend to tell him you love him, when you are also in love with the same woman? How do both of you go about getting her to see that this three way relationship is exactly what they all need? This books was so HOT, I’m pretty sure it melted my iPad! This was such a great story, read it today!
Mari Carr wove an entertaining story enriching it with heart, chemistry, tension, drama and lots of heat. Layla, miguel and Finn were terrific together as they navigated the shifting dynamics of their evolving relationship.
Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read! I could not put it down it was that good!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved this beautiful, heartfelt friends-to-lovers romance!
Layla, Finn and Miguel didn’t have an easy ride on their trip to happily ever after. I loved how the underlying friendship between Finn and Layla and Finn and Miguel was the catalyst that helped glue this thruple together.
Wild Side is the first book I’ve read in this series, and fully stands alone, but I will definitely read the others because it was so damn good!
This is one of my favorite stories from one of my favorite families. Layla and Finn are old friends who knew each other before her family moved away. They reconnect when Layla moves back to Baltimore. Miguel has had feelings for Finn for years but never acted on them because he didn’t want to lose the friendship they shared. Layla owns a coffee shop which is robbed one night. Miguel, a police officer arrives to investigate. Soon both realize there is a spark there. There is a problem though, Layla also has feelings for Finn. Unbeknownst to Layla, Miguel and Finn already know each other. Conflicted feelings, family, robberies and realizations all make this a story that pulls you in. Once again Mari Carr has a hit on her hands. I love this family and look forward to the next book in the series.
Another wonderful book.
I can always count on Mari Carr to make me smile. Do I wait for the next Wilder Irish book to come out – you bet. Am I waiting for the day when she really makes me cry my heart out? Yea, I know it has to come, sooner or later. But, until that time, I will sit back and enjoy the wonderful stories of the Collins family.
Finn’s story was just as heartfelt and and beautiful as the stories that preceded it. Yes, they are all a little bit different but is always comes down to the Collins Curse. The dreaded curse of finding your soul mate and falling in love. But, Finn soon realizes that he has two soul mates and he’s not sure how things are going to work out. Police Officer Miguel has been in love with Finn forever. Unfortunately, Finn either doesn’t see it or refuses to. Then he meets Layla while working on a case. He may have found a woman who could maybe help him forget his feelings for Finn. Until one fateful evening when his world comes crashing down around him. He thought LJ was a friend of Finn’s … not the woman he fell in love with.
One kiss … another … then another … that’s all it takes for both men to know that they are hooked. On each other and on Layla. But, the agreement is way to short and all three of them have to figure out how to show the other that their hearts all belong to each other.
I love how Mari Carr gives us just a little drama but brings it to a unique and quick ending. I also love how the whole family rally’s around when they are needed most. It’s like they have a sixth sense when one of them is hurting, needs a little tender loving care or some sound advice. Enter Pop Pop. I guess I will always think of him now when I serve Salmon. But, it’s wonderful watching all the kids grow up, become men and women and finding their way in life. There is nothing more that we want for our children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren than for them to find love, happiness and success in whatever they set out to do in life. And, that’s what Mari Carr brings to us each and every time … love and happiness. Sometimes it’s conventional and sometimes it’s not but, it’s always sincere, open and honest.
Wild Side is the ninth in Mari Carr’s Wilder Irish series, the next generation of the beloved Wild Irish series, all set in Baltimore, MD, at Pat’s Pub, under the loving and devoted care of the owner and family patriarch, Pat. It’s about Layla, whose recent move to the city heralds a fresh start for her, and a new leaf turned, away from the sometimes overly watchful eye of her four older brothers, and away from a meh relationship that had gone past its expiration date. She’s ready to sow a few wild oats, to live a little, or maybe a lot 😉
When she reconnects with her childhood friend, Finn, and then meets his best friend Miguel, it seems like the perfect setup–some scorching hot together time without the involvement of expectations of long-term commitments. Until feelings are engaged… and Finn and Miguel and Layla need to figure out whether one plus one plus one equals zero or maybe infinity and beyond.
Mari Carr does it again in this fantastic addition to the Collins clan universe. Finn and Miguel’s rock solid friendship is tested not only by their changing feelings for each other but by the addition of Layla and her carefully held emotions. We have the pleasure of seeing Pat and the other Collinses as well, although the focus is squarely on this trio and their personal walk on the wild side.
The truth is that love changes us and can change how we see ourselves and how others see us. Ms Carr reminds us of this as we see Finn, Miguel, and Layla struggle with discovering their true feelings and finding the courage to hold onto those we love. Wild Side is a wildly satisfying read.
HOT, HOT, HOT
I have followed this series from the beginning and absolutely love the Collins family dynamics. I love their acceptance of each other no matter the relationship. Finn and Miguel have been best friends as adults and Layla and Finn were childhood friends. From misunderstandings to mixed relationships, this story follows the three as they come to realize what each means to the other and where they all fit together. It is a story of the characters being one on one and menage so expect some steam, but the book is more a blending and evolving from friends to being more.

Wild Side cleverly combines humor, suspense, and sexy times. Mari Carr creatively brings Finn, Layla, and Miguel together through a series of events which includes intervention Collins style. The triad come to the realization that what is in their hearts is more than enough love, understanding, and friendship to have their forever. Mari Carr continues to add brilliantly written stories to the Wilder Irish series.
Wild Side is the story I have been waiting for in this series. This is book nine of the Wilder Irish series and it keeps getting better with each book.
Here we get the story of Finn, Miguel and Layla. I wasn’t surprised to find Miguel and Finn sharing a story from what previous books have hinted at. Layla was a surprise for me here but I loved it.
Finn has been a character I have loved since he was first introduced and I loved reading his story. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Ms Carr has done it again… Another instalment in the beautiful Collins family leaves you soul warm and fuzzy. A beautiful td story of find something you weren’t expecting and finding happiness in the unconventional.
Panty melting hot! But again it is a Mari Carr WIlder novel so you can expect panty melting. And this time it is an unexpected menage so even hotter.
Layla aka LJ has moved back to Baltimore after having lived in Philadelphia for way too long. LJ and her family had been living in B’more until her mother’s untimely death. Her father moved the family back to Philadelphia to be closer to his family after this. Raising five children alone can be rather daunting so it made sense. For LJ though it meant leaving behind her best friend at the time, Finn. When LJ broke up long time boring fiance in Philadelphia, she decides it is time to take charge of her own life and buys a coffee shop in B’more. After all, her brothers loved her fiance more than LJ ever did which says a lot.
Finn and his cousin have been growing their new security business and it has taken off. And Finn has been living off coffee from the local coffee shop since sleep is a luxury. He is pleasantly surprised when he discovers his old friend LJ is not only working there but actually owns the shop. The two start to reconnect but Finn doesn’t tell his best friend, Miguel, much about LJ. Well, he does tell him he is meeting up with a childhood friend named LJ but leaves out the important fact that LJ is female.
Like all cities, B’more has crime. And sadly Layla’s coffee shop gets held up by an idiot who holds her up with a gun wearing a clown mask. Miguel is one of the cops who responds to the call and the attraction is pretty instant between these two. Because Layla is pretty upset and normally walks to work, Miguel is kind and drives her home and makes sure that she is safe. Plus he finds a way for the two of them to meet up later.
Neither Miguel nor Finn realize they are both dating the same woman until they all accidentally meet up at the family pub. Miguel is pissed off at Finn for not telling him that LJ is really a female and her real name is Layla. Finn is pissed off because Miguel has been dating LJ and that LJ didn’t tell him about the coffee shop being robbed while he was out of town. Layla is very observant and realizes there more going on as well. She catches on to the fact that Miguel is very into Finn but Finn isn’t sure what to feel or do about his attraction to Miguel. Her solution is for them all to kiss. And than to have a wonderful menage since well she is wanting to expand her sexual horizons.
Of course simple plans can backfire and oh boy does this one back fire on Layla, Finn, and Miguel. Yep, things get complicated as only Mari Carr can create. (And she is very devious as well.) Be prepared to have your panties melt, swoon, fall in love, and want to move to B’more in hopes of your own Miguel and Finn. Okay maybe without some of the drama.
I did receive a copy of this novel in advance from the author in exchange for an honest unbiased review. But to be honest, it is always fun being able to tell Mari Carr how devious she really can be.
This is such a great series and this edition of the Collins family is my new favorite. Finn is my hero in this story, he is kind, hardworking, loves his family, best friend material, ready to find the forever love his cousins have found, and the best kind of dominant man in the bedroom. Miguel, Finn’s best friend, is a cop working for Finn’s dad, he is a protector, bisexual, and so in love with Finn. Along comes Layla (LJ) returning to her childhood neighborhood as a coffee shop owner, she and Finn reconnect and are best friends again. She recently broke up with her longtime boyfriend (boring sex life) and is ready to be wild, kinky, and just be casual. Steam is just rolling off these three when the stars align….this book has some of the hottest scenes ever, it’s not just that it’s a menage with m/m action included it’s the love, the feelings, respect for each other, and the joy they bring to each other in and out of the bedroom. I have added this to my all-time favorite list. Loved It!!!
Book nine in the Wilder Irish series a well written story of three people Layla and the two men who love her, Finn and his best friend, Miguel. there is suspense, drama, danger, a clown, shooting, and romance. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sweet, lovable, likable and most of all personable character really make this story. I like the dynamics between Layla, Finn and Miguel. This is an emotional and heartwarming romance that was an amazing menage romance story
I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.
Who knew taking that next step just needed a hand to hold. For both Finn and Miguel it took a step on the wild side with Layla to finally just let go and just be. Sometimes love can only move forward when all stars align and your family is there to knock some sense into you lol.
Fantastic Read! Didn’t Want It To End!!
Finn takes a break and goes outside. Then decides to head to the coffee shop. But what he finds out is that it was sold. The new owner is Layla. Layla knew Finn when they were kids but her family (note: she is the youngest of four brothers) move away after a devastating loss. Finn and Layla (LJ) rekindle their friendship. Layla who is fresh out of a long term relationship wants to have some fun. But Finn is feeling some kind of way about Layla. Unfortunately for Finn he has yet to address the issues with his best friend Miguel.
While Finn is out of town for a conference, a situation happens at Layla’s shop and the Cop to her rescue is Miguel. Unbeknownst to Miguel, Layla is (LJ). When Finn comes home he lets just say that is when Finn, Layla and Miguel put those feelings to the test. And when they do, they are going to “Heat” up the pages. Get to know Finn, Layla and Miguel and walk on the Wilde Side!!
I love a good ménage and this one did not disappoint. I loved each pair’s connection as well as the trio’s dynamic. I had been waiting for Finn and Miguel’s story and the history that Finn and Layla shared made her addition to the relationship seem meant-to-be. Mari Carr is fabulous at balancing story with sexy and this book was extra hot.
