“Flirty, dirty, and downright irresistible! Breezie Bennett’s books sizzle like a steamy Florida night!” — Kresley Cole, #1 New York Times bestselling author
WILD RIDE – The South Florida Riders Series — book 1
A smoking hot wide receiver with a tattered reputation. A feisty tomboy with dreams of being a sports agent. Can he build his brand with a fake fiancee? Can she snag the promotion she … his brand with a fake fiancee? Can she snag the promotion she desperately wants? Sure. If he can keep it in his pants and she can resist taking the ride of her life. Fall in love with Leo and Frankie as their romance slides from fake to forever.
Leo:
I guess I’m in trouble for real now. At least that’s what my agent says. He says the South Florida Riders fans need to believe I’m more than just a cocky, wide receiver who throws Benjamins at strippers and breaks a lot of hearts.
His brilliant plan to fix my image is to hook the perfect woman on my arm and convince the world I’m engaged to her. Only problem is, I definitely don’t have the perfect woman. As my agent puts it, I’ve been ‘too busy banging my way through NFL groupies to get serious.’ He’s not wrong.
But then he decides to hire his intriguing and annoyingly hot assistant to play the part…and all of a sudden, his ideas don’t seem so dumb.
Frankie:
I know you, Leo Sterling. I know your type. I can predict your every move, on and off the field. And I want absolutely as little to do with you as possible.
I’m well aware that working for a sports agent will be a pain in the ass and that my dream of eventually becoming an agent myself will put me in very close quarters with unfathomably arrogant athletes like Leo. It’s par for the course with my career path, one I chose so that I can stay as close as possible to the only true love of my life — football.
So, when my boss tells me I have to be fake engaged to this particularly infuriating and sexy player to keep my job, I have no choice. And it doesn’t exactly suck. Having a little weak

Wild Ride is the first book in the South Florida Riders series of books by debut author Breezie Bennett. I absolutely fell in love with Frankie’s and Leo’s story from page one. The fake fiance troupe is such a fun troupe when done well, and Ms. Bennett knocked one out of the ballpark with her very first book (totally mixing up my sports metaphors here).
Frankie and Leo are both such fun characters, even if Leo is known as a bit of a bad boy when we first meet him. Because of that situation, his agent decides he needs a fake fiance and as Frankie works for his agent’s company, she is the perfect person for the job. Let me just tell you Frankie is absolutely my favorite character in this book. She is a tomboy who loves sports and can walk the walk and talk the talk. I’m a huge sports fan, and it was fun to read about another woman being so into sports. She is such a smart and laugh out loud funny character. She even invents a drinking game that I know my friends and I would have been all over when we were in college.
Leo is super yummy and all about his football career…until Frankie arrives. I liked their friendship moved naturally to a physical relationship based on mutual attraction. Seriously you could feel their connection from the very beginning, and it only grew stronger with each day they spent together. The sexy times are super sexy in Wild Ride! So much mad love for this story! I literally couldn’t put the book down until I was finished reading and stayed up way too late to read it in one night.
Breezie Bennett is a fresh new voice in sports romance, perfectly blending steamy romance and heartfelt humor. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the South Florida Riders series of books!
Rating: 5 Stars (A+)
I am so excited about this series. Loved Book 1 of the South Florida Riders series very much and can’t wait to read the rest of the stories. What happens when a bad boy football player falls into bad graces with his fans? Why, he becomes engaged! Ok, so it’s a fake engagement, but the press and fans don’t need to know that. Leo will do anything his agent tells him he needs to do to get back into everyone’s good graces. Enter Frankie who works for said agent and is hoping to advance her career to one day becoming a sports agent, so agrees to go along with the charade. Loved the chemistry between the two of them and how their relationship evolved. Very impressed with how well written this debut book was for Breezie Bennett, and look forward to reading more from her.
First, this did not read like it was this author ‘s first attempt. Wild Ride was as solid, quick and funny, right out of the gate as you could hope for. From the first paragraph, Breezie Bennett snags the reader, keeping this reader captivated until the very end.
Hot, sexy , hilariously funny but with a magical thread of humanity to tie it all together, making all root for Frankie and Leo. Hope we see glimpses of these two in the rest of the series!
Wild Ride is the story of nerdy, NFL super fan Frankie Monroe and South Florida Riders’ wide receiver Leo Sterling. She is working towards becoming a sports agent while Leo had a party/public relationship problem to correct which means that these two need to enter into a fake relationship to advance their own paths. But how a at first glance shallow PRO bowler can resist an attractive, football geek, who owns an adorable pittie named Tebow and no wish for love?
Breezie Bennett painted the football world in vivid detail in this, her debut novel. She gave us all the excitement of the athletes including their real, relatable friends and families while also developing a cute highly charged chemistry between Frankie and Leo. As a true romance sport novel she doesn’t shy away of a little drama, adult dark humor and sexy time to weave a truly enjoyable story. The characters were well developed, all of them bringing something to the story and to future ones. Breezie went ALL-OF- THE- WAY for her South Florida Riders and I will like to see more of them soon.
Leo and Frankie’s love story in Wild Ride by Breezie Bennett, book one in her South Florida Riders series, was a wonderful, sexy, and enjoyable tale. Take one hot and sexy wide receiver in need of a reputation make-over and give him a fake fiancée. Make that a fiancée who’s a tomboy with dreams of becoming a sports agent. This is the premise for Leo and Frankie’s story as their romance goes from fake to forever. I loved the interaction between Leo and Frankie as they become acquainted with each other. The sparks were flying as their shared chemistry defined their attraction.
Ms. Bennett, a debut author offering a new voice in sports romance, wrote a fun, flirty, sexy rom-com that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sexual chemistry, wonderful dialogue, and endearing characters giving Leo and Frankie a chance to discover they loved each other and were meant for a future together. I highly recommend Wild Ride to other readers.

Wild ride is the debut book for Breezie Bennett. I absolutely loved everything about this story. Ms. Bennett has scored a touchdown with this book in my opinion. She is a strong new voice in the romance genre. This book earned all 5 stars that I gave it.
Leo and Frankie were such strong, interesting and well written characters. They generated some serious heat together. I could not put this book down. Seriously, she is now a must read author for me! I also loved the secondary characters and hope they all get their own HEA.
This is the debut novel from a brand new author. Sports romance with a fake romance trope can be a tricky one but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. The characters felt real and relatable. A nice balance of fun and serious. We also got to meet some interesting family and friends/teammates alongside our couple. Overall it was a wonderful and fun read that bought a smile to my face.

Wild Ride is book 1 in the new series South Florida Riders by new up and coming author Breezie Bennett and OMG what a way to start!!
Leo Sterling, NFL wide receiver, sexy, handsome, womanizer, now needs a fake fiancée his agent decides it should be his new assistant, Frankie Monroe. Frankie takes on the job but because she was burned before by her college football boyfriend she has sets her wall up high on her heart, no falling for Leo…just fun and games…
What happens next will keep you turning the pages, laughter, fun times, bittersweet moments, football games, sexy times, romance and finally opening up their hearts to find a love that neither expected…
A fun, football themed flirty, sexy story told from the perspectives of the two leads – the jock who reputation is in tatters, and the fake fiancé, who knows more about football than the player himself!
Wild Ride is a fantastic debut novel! Breezie Bennett’s writing style is full of energy and intensity – giving us fully fleshed-out characters, vivid descriptions that help you paint a mental picture of places and situations, and a scorching romance from beginning to end.
Leo and Frankie (love the reason behind her name!) are very believable characters trying to pull-off a pseudo relationship in order to rehab Leo’s reputation in the media. Leo, a pro football player, and Frankie, a sports agent’s assistant, and pretending to be engaged in order to show to the world that Leo is a loyal, stable, and responsible teammate and not the irresponsible “playa” he is portrayed to be by the press.
Situations in both of their pasts color their viewpoint of relationships and honesty. I enjoyed the closeness shown by Frankie’s family and Leo’s teammates. I am looking forward to reading the next entry in this series.
I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Wow — this reader is thrilled to get an ARC of Breezie Bennett’s hot debut novel!! This story is full of football, hot players, romance & friendship, & of course, falling in love! Frankie & Leo get thrown together to spin a fake engagement and develop a friendship that leads to love. Of course interfering family, coworkers & friends cause a rift/misunderstanding that splits their budding love apart. But this is a romance & the HEA is so well done — has all the feels!! Can’t wait to continue with this series!!
Brava Ms Bennett!!!
A great start to a new series. The Riders are a South Florida football team. Leo was photographed at a strip club and needs an image makeover. Frankie is his fake fiance. Shenanigans abound!
Entertaining, romantic and well written.
Fun, flirty, and deliciously dirty, Breezie Bennett hits the ground running with this fast-paced, first-person, contemporary romcom that showcases this debut author’s potential. I’m a self-admitted football addict and was immediately pulled into the lives of the players and others associated with Bennett’s (fictional) South Florida Riders. The author’s deep well of football knowledge is clear and lends authenticity to the story while her well-developed, multi-layered characters engaged my mind and my heart, tickled my funny bone, generated lots of delicious steam, and had me wiping away a few tears (of happiness).
Breezie Bennett is a fresh new voice in contemporary romance. I thoroughly enjoyed her debut novel, WILD RIDE, and am all in for more football, heart-tugging romance, snappy banter, and smoking hot chemistry in future South Florida Riders stories.
Leo isn’t known for monogamy and Frankie has no time for jocks. But, when Leo needs a fake fiancee, she agrees to help. It would mean she would be closer to her dream job. It is only during the season and then they break up. Easy. Right? Frankie finds out that Leo isn’t just another pretty face. There is so much more to him than he lets everyone see. She will not fall for him. She is offered her dream job but she has to give up Leo if she takes it. It’s only pretend, right?
I really enjoyed this book and getting to meet Leo Sterling and Frankie Monroe. From their first meeting, you knew you were going to be along for a ‘wild ride’ with these two. I have to say that I’m totally crushing on Frankie Monroe, she is such a cool heroine and definitely keeps right up with Leo. I enjoyed their banter and Frankie’s football knowledge was ultra impressive and when she was giving Leo tips before the game, she became even more awesome. I also liked our supporting characters, not only his teammates but Frankie’s family as well. Frankie and Leo being together was to improve his image but then feelings developed and misunderstandings occur and then it’s all a mess. I did appreciate Frankie’s brother stepping up like he should have and taking one for the team, so to speak, for the mess he made and trying to help fix it. The ending to this book was so great, definitely perfect for these two. One of my favorite lines from this book was, ‘You’re my best friend, my inspiration, and my secret little playmaker’. I can’t want to read the next book in this series. This was a great first book for author Breezie Bennett.
A fun, flirty sports romance between a talented wide receiver & a want to be sports agent. They entered into a fake relationship to benefit both of them but their chemistry soon overwhelmed the good intentions. The characters were well developed & three dimensional. The plot was fast paced & easy to follow. I truly loved this entertaining, sexy story & can’t wait for Book 2.
Wild Ride, the debut novel by Breezie Bennett, is a solid first outing. The voice flows and the characters are well-developed. A classic fake engagement story, with a football twist, this novel will delight sports fans. The hero consistently calls the heroine “kid” though they are contemporaries in age; this habit kept pulling me out of the story with the perceived power imbalance. Otherwise I enjoyed the read and look forward to seeing where Bennett goes from here.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.
Leo has messed up and it’s going to cause bad press for his NFL career and his teammates. His agent has decided he needs a fake fiancée until the season is done to smooth over his actions. Frankie wants nothing more than to be a sports agent so when her boss tells her she has to pretend to be engaged to a womanizing, playboy, football player she goes along. Her prize will be her dream job. Somebody forgot to tell Leo and Frankie that plans definitely change and sometimes for the better.
This is the debut novel for this author and I absolutely loved it! A great style of writing, easy to read, a fun and sexy story, lots of humor and a very well balanced and likeable hero and heroine. I thoroughly enjoyed being along for these two characters and their happy ever after. I look forward to book 2 in this series.
I received an ARC for an honest review.
Wild Ride by Breezie Bennett is a fantastic debut novel. The chemistry between Frankie and Leo is completely evident from the moment they meet. Neither one is looking for “The One” and each have reasons to resist the attraction between them. Frankie has a dream to become a sports agent in the NFL. She is currently working for Leo’s agent and is pretty much forced to become his fake fiance to help cleanup his reputation. Leo is a wide receiver for the South Florida Riders with a reputation in need of repair for his partying and womanizing ways. Will Frankie and Leo find happiness or will they end up with broken hearts? I thoroughly enjoyed this debut novel. It was a fun, romantic comedy with plenty of steam. Oh, and a pretty cool dog named Tebow. Tebow is a sweetie who will definitely grow on you! If you like fun, witty banter between the characters and plenty of steam between the sheets then Wild Ride is for you. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is a fun book! I recommend it.
The Fake Engagement trope is often overdone but it works here because Ms. Bennett wraps it up in such wonderful characters. Leo and Frankie seem like real people with real ways of interacting. Their friends and her family act completely in character.
The interactions between friends seems real, and the sex is hot. She is a new author but I can’t wait to read her future books.
