“Flirty, dirty, and downright irresistible! Breezie Bennett’s books sizzle like a steamy Florida night!” — Kresley Cole, #1 New York Times bestselling author
WILD RIDE – The South Florida Riders Series — book 1
A smoking hot wide receiver with a tattered reputation. A feisty tomboy with dreams of being a sports agent. Can he build his brand with a fake fiancee? Can she snag the promotion she … his brand with a fake fiancee? Can she snag the promotion she desperately wants? Sure. If he can keep it in his pants and she can resist taking the ride of her life. Fall in love with Leo and Frankie as their romance slides from fake to forever.
Leo:
I guess I’m in trouble for real now. At least that’s what my agent says. He says the South Florida Riders fans need to believe I’m more than just a cocky, wide receiver who throws Benjamins at strippers and breaks a lot of hearts.
His brilliant plan to fix my image is to hook the perfect woman on my arm and convince the world I’m engaged to her. Only problem is, I definitely don’t have the perfect woman. As my agent puts it, I’ve been ‘too busy banging my way through NFL groupies to get serious.’ He’s not wrong.
But then he decides to hire his intriguing and annoyingly hot assistant to play the part…and all of a sudden, his ideas don’t seem so dumb.
Frankie:
I know you, Leo Sterling. I know your type. I can predict your every move, on and off the field. And I want absolutely as little to do with you as possible.
I’m well aware that working for a sports agent will be a pain in the ass and that my dream of eventually becoming an agent myself will put me in very close quarters with unfathomably arrogant athletes like Leo. It’s par for the course with my career path, one I chose so that I can stay as close as possible to the only true love of my life — football.
So, when my boss tells me I have to be fake engaged to this particularly infuriating and sexy player to keep my job, I have no choice. And it doesn’t exactly suck. Having a little weak

Awesome book. Awesome writer
I binge read all the books up to 6 (which is coming out soon). Such a great series and builds onto one another while still being a new/different book. Really enjoyed the characters and can’t wait for the next book or Breezie’s next series.
This book made me laugh right from the start. I can relate to Frankie and really liked the fact that they get to know each other before taking the next step into a real relationship. Of course not all in life is easy and funny and also not in this book. It is a great story that could be actually be real.
This was a really easy-to-read, enjoyable story. I was pleasantly surprised by Leo, the hero, and really liked how he developed from Cocky A-hole to Very Likable, Sensitive Guy. I would have loved to have learned more about his family – only his father is mentioned and it was a shame that there wasn’t any more background on him. I was waiting for it but it never came. That said, I read happily to the end of the story. It was fun, satisfying and entertaining, and I look forward to reading the other books in the series.
It’s part of a series. Read the series.
I enjoyed this book, it had a kickass heroine and I liked Leo too. There was just the right amount of sex and the author made us wait for it which I can appreciate giving the book some tension. It was fun.
I seem to love sports romances and this one didn’t disappoint
Decent but I have a few qualms with this story…
So a few problems that were left unsaid. What happened with the interview that Leo was suppose to do to clear how he basically broke off everything with Frankie via tv?
Why did Frankie forgive so easily ?
Why the heck is he always calling her kid ?
Other than that it was a decent story buildup from lust to love. They did not jump into bed together right away.
Really enjoyed this book. It will not be a waste of your time. I am reading the next book in this series. So far so good
But much story. Just lots of sex. I have no problem with the sex but I need a story! Couldn’t finish it.
Educational
I always love a good sports romance and this one did not disappoint!
Loved it! Have read 2 more in the series and am reading the 4th. I’m crazy about football but you don’t have to be a fan to enjoy this series.
This was such a good book. It had wonderful characters, lots of love and humor and plenty of heat. Loved it.
As an avid bookworm, I am always in search for my next addiction. Breezie Bennett took me by surprise. Leo and Frankie gave my heart a jolt and put a smile on my face at first introduction. Wild Ride grabs right at the funny bone and works it’s way under the skin rather quickly. From hello to goodbye, I was hooked.
Sweet, romantic, perfect couple. A great read that had me smiling the whole time. Hated to put it down. And I am sad it ended.
Wild Ride is the first book in the South Florida Riders series by a brand new author Breezie Bennett! Each book is a stand alone Rom-Com with a Professional Football player as the main hero and they don’t have to be read in any particular order. This book is wrote in alternating first person POVs, I was a little skeptical but it really works and shows so much depth to the story line.
This installment contains wonderful main characters, a loving, supportive family, laugh out loud sass, a dog, smoking hot chemistry and a plot that you don’t want to end. From the first word I was drawn in and read this in one sitting. Can’t wait to see if the next book is just as outstanding.
Breezie comes from talent and she’s apparently just as gifted as her mother! She freaking nailed this one! Reminds me of the Hot Zone series by Carly Phillips which I loved.
Troupes are: Fake Engagement, Friends to Lovers, Sports and Girl with a Man’s Job!
I love discovering a new author, and Breezie’s voice in her NFL-hero sassy romantic comedies is as fresh as her name implies. Eager to read the rest.
This is Breezie Bennett’s first book & it was a great entertaining read with wonderful characters. At first I wasn’t sure about Leo but ended up loving him and loving him & Frankie together. It would also be nice to see Frankie’s two single brothers get stories too. Definitely looking forward to Elliot’s book!!
Debut novel for Breezie Bennett and I really enjoyed.
Hot NFL Player Leo and nerdy football fan Frankie start a fake relationship to help Leo’s player reputation…they already have chemistry and as Frankie moves in with Leo and they get to know each other fake starts becoming real. I always enjoy a sassy female character and a guy who enjoys that side of her. I very much enjoyed this book and characters and anxiously await for the next book.
