Can a marriage of convenience turn into true love? Maybe…with the help of the right man.Quinn has made mistakes—like sleeping with the wrong people. It’s taken him time to figure out what he wants in bed and out of it. Understandable, since he’s attracted to both men and women and surrounded by a network of friends who seem to have no trouble finding love in any combination. When he meets … combination.
When he meets Trevon—the sexiest man ever—on the side of the road, only one thing keeps Quinn from pursuing him: Trevon’s even sexier wife, Devra.
Like Quinn, Trevon and Devra have led rough lives. Financial and safety concerns forced them into a marriage of convenience they both secretly wish was more.
The lessons Quinn’s past taught him should put the brakes on his fantasies of propositioning Trevon and Devra for a one-night ménage. But the need to atone for his previous transgressions, along with pure temptation, drives him to bring the struggling couple closer, even if it means breaking his own heart in the process.
This is a standalone book in the Hot Rides series and includes an HEA with no cheating. The series is part of the greater universe where both the Powertools and Hot Rods books are also set, so you can visit with many of your previous favorite characters and see what they’re up to now!

Once I started Wild Ride, I couldn’t put it down. It was the perfect balance of sweet and smexy and just enough drama to keep things interesting and I just kept getting pulled in deeper and deeper into all that was going on with Quinn, Trevon an Devra. They had so much going on, individually and together that the need to see how it all worked out was strong and I wasn’t disappointed in anyway.
I ended up adoring Quinn, Trevon and Dreva. You have three really, really good people who have been given a raw deal at some point in their lives and are searching for that sense of security and stability in every way. They all have good hearts and yet are HORRIBLE at communicating, even when they think they aren’t. The conversations with themselves in their heads is kind of epic in this one, but I loved how they worked through it all and ended up being each other’s safety nets, while helping to nudge each other to be better. The ups and downs in their journey are many, the chemistry between them all is INTENSE and the big ‘ole sinkhole that pops on them had me wanting to gut someone with a spoon, but I loved how everything worked out for them in the end.
This really was a fun read. It was smexy, fun, sweet and had just enough angst to keep things interesting. Funny enough this is only the second or third book from this world that I’ve read, the others are from the Powertools side of things, so I expected to be a bit overwhelmed at meeting the gang from Hot Rod’s, but I wasn’t. Yes, there are quite a few of them, but they were all introduced so smoothly throughout the story that I didn’t any issues and really do want to find the time to catch up on their stories to see how far they’ve all come. This is a menage, so there is MFM, MMF, MM & MF, if that isn’t your jam, then it isn’t your jam, but I loved that they were all in.
And then there is that tease of what may be coming at us in the next book…alls I can say is bring it on!

Quinn made me have all the feelings for him. He had grown up, but those same fears he had as a child, as a teen, are still there. He is part of something, but still to the side, not in the inner circle. He wants his own place so badly, you can feel his need rolling off the pages. Just when he thinks he has something, he is thwarted, and again, and again, and again. He just seems like he can’t win, so he takes what he can, and hopes everyone he cares for is happy.
Luckily, eventually, Devra and Trevon, see what Quinn is doing, call him on it. Of course, those two need to work out their own problems first, and Quinn plays the part in making that happen. When they all finally seem to have all they ever wanted, the shoe drops. Things that are well out of their control threaten them, and in no way, can anyone fix this. As it seems all is lost, a hero pulls through for them, and they finally get what has been evading them all, seemingly, all their lives
Hot and sexy, emotional and touching, this book got better and better the more I read it, and I didn’t want it to end!
Truly enjoyed this fantastic menagerie of 3 people just needing to find loves of their own, working thru their troubled pasts to find themselves.
4.5 stars absolutely brilliant, story line is fluid and the sex scenes are well done.
MMF if you are into that. It read more like a porn than a love story. It tried but really missed the mark on being sensual instead of hardcore. Maybe I’m getting old but the emotional connection is just as important as sex. Show me they are friends as well as lovers because friendship gets you through the days that almost kill you. If all you have is sex you break apart as quickly as you come together.
I’m thrilled that we finally get to read Quinn’s story in Wild Ride and it was well worth the wait! Jayne Rylon once again delivers another steamy story that I devoured all in one sitting. Quinn is all grown up now and seems to be struggling with some demons of the past. He comes upon Trevon and Devra whom he is attracted to and ends up embarking on some pretty steamy sex with. I enjoyed watching these three together and what a wild ride it was! I loved seeing the Hot Rods gang again and I cannot wait to read more in this new series. It is so good to be back in the Power Tool and Hot Rods world again.
This is a great extension to the Powertools series. Each group has their own angst, but they help each other out. I love being able to keep up with the other member of the groups. The sex scenes were steamy throughout. Can’t wait to read another in the new series.
Easy to read. Loved it. Great writing.
Love how men can be portrayed so strong strong and sensitive. Enjoyed this menage a troi! Sexy, steamy and erotic! Great read eith a look at unique relationship and those that can a person just as they are!!
It took a while to really get moving, but was well written and hard to put down.
This book was wonderful watching people learn and grow in a relationship. Determining what each other needs are and how to make sure everyone was happy in the relationship. There was painful steps on the way, but it worked out for everyone!! Great read.
I cannot put anymore thought into this book. My brain hurts from the coma that I was forced to go into just reading this.
she never disappoints!
Got me right from the start.
Great story and characters with real struggles for all involved
Awesone start of a new series that his strongly connected to some previous series. Trevon, Quinn and Devra are just to good to be true. Quinn, who has some serious issues and hardly lets himself come to close to falling in love, because in the end he ends up alone anyway – or so he thinks. Trevon and Devra, married out of convinience, but nevertheless developed feelings for one another that they don’t talk about. All three of them join a wild ride and discover what it’s like to not be only loved by one but two people.
I love Jaynes books, becaude they have a deep meaning and connection/bond to all the former characters. Wonderful.
Jayne Rylon does it again!! This is a fantastic book. I really suggest reading the Powertools and Hot Rods books first but it is not actually needed to fully enjoy this book. Hot Rides, first book in the new series that mixes it up so you enjoy new character and see the old character that you know and love. Quinn still feels like a third wheel everywhere he goes to hang out. He knows what he wants but never thought it would be possible for him. That is until he meets Trevon and Devra. They come with a lot of baggage and need help. Quinn gives Devron a job and both a place to live, but what to do with the feelings he has for both of them with out destroying everything? I loved this book, the writting is great and the sexy times just make you melt. Quinn is afraid to put it all on the line, but life has a way of helping out. I can not wait for the next book in the series.
This is a new series from Rylon set in a familiar universe, which means we get revisit previously loved characters. This is Quinn’s story, who we first met in the Hot Rods story. He’s all grown up now and dissatisfied with his life. A chance encounter with Trevon, who is broken down on the side of the road leads to Quinn extending a job offer for the mechanic shop. There is instant attraction, but when he meets Trevon’s wife Devra, he knows he needs to keep his hands to himself. Trevon and Devra are also not loving their best life and Quinn may be just what is needed to ignite a spark between these three troubled people. Rylon is the queen of ménage romances and Wild Ride is the type of fun, emotional and steamy read one expects from her. Highly recommended if you’re a fan of menages.
Wild Ride is the first book of the Powertools: Hot Rides series. I enjoyed it a lot. The Powertools gang are family by choice and although they long ago opened their arms and hearts to teenage Quinn after his brother Roman rescued him from his abusive mother, he feels like he still hasn’t found his place. Then he meets Trevon and Devra, a down on their luck couple with a less than perfect marriage. Kindhearted Quinn helps them out with a job and a home, fighting his powerful attraction to both; and when he discovers his feelings are reciprocated, he offers to help them resolve their marital issues, even though it could mean getting his own heart broken in the process.
The story drew me in right away. The writing is great and the characters are sympathetic and very likable. Yes, the steamy scenes are sinfully hot but mainly this book is a really great romance about three deserving people who belong together. 4.5 stars.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advance reader copy of this book.
Can three broken lives fit together to make a whole? Quinn, Trevon and Dreva have all had some difficulties in their lives, that has left each of them slightly broken, but as they are combining those lives together, they are finding that not only are they stronger together, they are also steamy hot together. This book not only has a great story, it also dips into the today’s problems of racism and immigration. It is s great first book in a new series, which has me impatiently, waiting for the next book in the series to come out.
