I am so excited to be reading about the next generation of Collins kids! Mari is an amazing storyteller, and I absolutely loved Caitlyn and Lucas! He wants to buy her families pub, she wants a Dom who understands what she craves and no one wants Pop Pop to find out! I loved this book and I can’t wait to dive into the next one!
I love the Collins clan, and this start to the next generation was perfect! Lucas and Katelyn were complete opposites, but that only made them compliment each other. There was a lot of heart between them, along with the steam. Ignoring the one main issue between them only made it all the more destructive when it finally came to a head, but by then, their hearts and minds were engaged, and Lucas was ready to make the changes to win his woman. The narration took a bit to get used to, lots of perfection enunciation, but once I got to used to it, it was okay
This first book in the Wilder Irish series by author Mari Carr was freakin’ amazing and it felt like I was coming home again; coming home to the Collins family that I loved so much. The author captured the essence of the Collins family without missing a beat. I got a bit choked up whenever patriarch Patrick Collins aka Pop Pop to Caitlyn appeared in scenes. I loved Caitlyn and Lucas together so much and enjoyed their scorching hot relationship. They were complete opposites and had to overcome his company’s buyout attempt of her family’s business. Love and loyalty were tested and I loved every minute of it. I am thrilled that the next generation of the Collins family will get their own story and the author nailed it with the first book in this new series.
I quite enjoyed this book. I really liked the tight knit Irish family and how they look out for each other. Characters were likeable. An enjoyable read.
The next generation
The Collins grandchildren have always hard the closeness their parents had and because of Pop Pop they will stand by & up for each other. Caitlyn is an attorney that works on cases that help people who can’t always afford it. Now someone is trying to buy out the pub and they are going to allow it. Lucas thinks with his wealth that he can walk in and buy it. Little he know he was fighting a strong Irish family and find love.
Wild Passion is a stand alone issue that was previously titled January Girl.
Caitlyn is a lawyer and has become a workaholic since she caught her BF cheating on her. She thinks her life is smooth sailing until she comes face-to-face with a businessman who is known for his cutthroat habits and who’s used to getting his own way. The big problem is he wants Pat’s Pub, her family’s bar and restaurant and he’s not taking no for an answer. Caitlyn wants to despise him for threatening her family’s business, but automatically she senses Lucas’s dominant nature that stirs her hidden submissive side that she inherits from her mother.
Lucas thinks this real estate acquisition would be the same ole run of the mill deal until he meets Cait, the granddaughter of the owner. Lucas never ever mixes business with pleasure, but that rule goes out the window when he comes face to face with Cait. With one date this couple is thrown into a steamy affair that will force them to choose between family loyalty and love.
Loving this start to a series of the next generation of the Collins Family. Who can resist the strong family ties where they all have each others’ backs – even if one of them is dating an “enemy” of the family. Reading this book felt like coming home after being away for an extended period of time.
You could just feel the chemistry from the start between Caitlyn and Lucas. The only question was whether they would be able to survive the fact that Lucas was trying to purchase Pat’s Pub so that it could be torn down. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Great beginning for a great series!
hot hot hot. I can’t wait for february
I enjoyed this book. I am partial to family series and I great fan of Mari Carr. I love her character building. Coming from a large family myself, I know how individualistic siblings can be. Will be reading the rest of the series.
Another fantastic book by Mari Carr! Caitlyn Wallace has been searching for a relationship like her parents, but after a few heartbreaks she decided she needed a break from love and focus on her career. Unfortunately her plans are disrupted with the appearance of Lucas Whitling. We know from the very beginning what Lucas’ plans are; he wants Pat’s Pub, but after their first physical encounter, he now wants Caitlyn too.
Even though Caitlyn tries to stay away, they are actually perfect for each other and with the determination from Lucas, she had no chance. The attraction they feel for each other is off the charts hot! There were bumps in the road, with their love and loyalty tested, but ultimately when they reach their happily ever after it was all worth it.
Another great read!
Book one of Wilder Irish series. Spin off or next generation of Wild Irish series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Each book is about a different family member and their HEA. The big Collins family are secondary characters and it is so great to continue reading them. Caitlyn is an attorney who is always fighting for the little guy. When Lucas makes an offer on purchasing the Pub he doesn’t realize what he is up against. A great D/s relationship follows with some Pub drama and a heartfelt big gesture. I loved this book and look forward to continuing reading the series!!
I’ve read (and loved!) all of the Wild Irish books, so I was naturally very excited when I found out that Mari Carr was beginning a series about the children of the original characters! As Mari Carr is one of my favorite, go-to authors, I knew I would not be disappointed in this book. One-click!
Caitlyn is a lawyer, and the granddaughter of Pat, owner of Pat’s Irish Pub, in Baltimore, MD. The pub was started by Pat, and his wife, Sunday, when they first came to America from Ireland. It has since passed on to Pat and Sunday’s children (all 7 of them!). Caitlyn and some of her cousins live above the pub, in the apartment that Pat and Sunday raised their brood in. All of this to say, there is history, memories, and emotions tied up in the pub for the Collins family. So when Lucas comes around to try to buy the pub, Caitlyn naturally sees him as enemy #1! Even so, there is an immediate, undeniable attraction between them, that convinces Caitlyn to give him a chance, even if temporarily.
While Lucas is a cutthroat business man, who will do whatever it takes to get his way, Caitlyn is a giving philanthropist, who uses her Law degree to help those around her who need it most. They couldn’t be more different, but the attraction won’t let loose of Caitlyn, or Lucas.
This story is packed full of emotions, both positive and negative. This family is supportive, loving, and just plain amazing. Lucas’s family…. is not. It never fails to amaze me the impact that the Collins family has in these stories. Their relationship with each other opens eyes, and changes lives. I’ve enjoyed meeting the Collins kids, all grown up, and can’t wait to see what is in store for the rest of them!
I’m a huge Mari Carr fan and I LOVE her Wild / Wilder books. This was the first of the Wilder books and it was awesome.
Wild Passion is a fantastic contemporary romance by Mari Carr. Ms. Carr has provided readers with a well-written book. Caitlyn is a lawyer but she’s also dedicated to her family and the family pub. Lucas isn’t tied to anything other than his business. When Lucas sets his sights on Caitlyn’s family pub he also sets his sights on Caitlyn. Caitlyn and Lucas’s story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle and a touch of suspense. I enjoyed reading Wild Passion and look forward to my next book by Mari Carr. Wild Passion is book 1 of the Wilder Irish Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
7 stars. OMG. Holy Moly. Lots of sex. Awesome story. Read in 1 day. Couldn’t put down. Book 2 here I come.
Good story
Loved the strong female character, Caitlin. She is witty, strong, yet human. Loved the dynamics between them. Really great sex scenes. Great book.
This book is a story of a submissive and a Dominant. I did not realize that when I downloaded. If you like that type of book you probably will like it. It is just not my interest.
Loved the characters and the story. Can’t wait to read the rest of this series.
