“I’ve heard that boys with motorcycles have less-than-noble intentions.”“Not a boy,” Beck said. “And you heard right.”Luna da Rosa is America’s Vegan Best Friend. The self-made billionaire is a flower-crowned hippie whose Instagram feed is as popular as Wild Heart, her vegan makeup company. When she’s not changing the cosmetics industry, she’s dazzling her online fans with kombucha recipes—until … she’s dazzling her online fans with kombucha recipes—until Wild Heart is caught in a scandal, destroying her reputation as a cheerful do-gooder.
Beck Mason is the prodigal son of Miami’s most notorious biker gang. But Beck left his criminal family to start Lucky Dog, rescuing dogs who need the most help… except the surly ex-outlaw never realized leading a struggling nonprofit with a ragtag crew would be so damn hard. They’re in dire need of cash—and fast.
Luna believes working at Lucky Dog will fix her image problem and get Beck the money he needs. It’s a win-win, right? Except Beck doesn’t like the sunny, free-spirited—okay beautiful—billionaire. He sure as hell doesn’t trust Luna not to use him just to make herself look good.
Sure, Beck’s grumpy, stubborn pride and meat-eating ways irritates Luna. Even though his big-heart-and-big-beard-combo is dangerously sexy. And they really shouldn’t have shared The Kiss to End All Kisses on the back of his motorcycle one night…
But as the bohemian billionaire and the burly biker give into their electrifying attraction, will their differences keep them apart? Or will they finally learn to trust their wild hearts?
Author’s Note: Big, grumpy, bearded hero. Happy-go-lucky hippie heroine. Snarky banter. Opposites that don’t so much attract as combust. Motorcycle sex. Steamy Miami nights. Four lady billionaire best friends. All the rescue dogs. Major heart-feels.more
Luna is flower child, vegan, billionaire, and when scandal rocks her word, she volunteers at a non profit rescue centre for dogs, run by grumpy Beck. Can these two ignore the undeniable chemistry between them? This is a beautifully written story which this author has put her heart and soul into writing, and this is a fun, witty, romantic and entertaining read, which I highly recommend for all.
Can a hippie, vegan billionaire and a former convict, biker dog rescuer reform each other’s images? Could these two *possibly* be more different? Those were the questions I had going into this book but while the answer to the first question was definitely yes, the answer to the second was a surprise: they aren’t all that different. Yeah, in some ways these two were on opposite ends of the spectrum but when it mattered, Luna and Beck were exactly the same.
I don’t typically believe in fate but it seemed like these two were destined to meet each other. From needing to rebuild to trying to rescue the same stray dog, there were all kinds of things that pushed these two into each other’s lives.
I haven’t read the first two books in this interconnected series yet but Wild Open Hearts definitely has me bumping The Price of Scandal and The Mogul and the Muscle way up my TBR.
OMG bring the tissues
Absolutely loving this series about billionaire WOMEN, and this one has the added bonus of rescue dogs. No dry eyes at the end of this HEA.
Luna is a free-spirited entrepreneur who has made a name for herself while saving the planet. Beck is a guy who is just trying to get by with out being pulled back into the crap life with his parents. These two unlikely pair form the sweetest, palpable bond. The heat simmers off the pages. Loved this book.
5 Bluewater Billionaires Stars
Wild Open Hearts is the third book in the Bluewater Billionaires series and is written by Kathryn Nolan. This is, like a lot of the books in this series my first read from this author. We have Luna da Rosa, who created her company because she wanted a company that has values and doesn’t test on animals and is vegan friendly. She does exactly that and in the meantime also makes herself a billionaire. But then a scandal that she never foresees coming puts her whole company in jeopardy. She needs to act fast and fix her image. Lucky Dog is her way of doing this.
“You can call me Beck, by the way,” he said. “Grumpy Bearded Jerk is a bit of a mouthful,” I admitted.
Beck Mason is an ex biker royalty and after getting himself out of the life and into a whole new one that he loves he doesn’t want to lose it. But he is coming close to it, as the money is just not coming in and he needs donations fast. He has to pay his staff who are like family to him and to save as many dogs as he can. Luna da Rosa is the key to this but he doesn’t want to except help from someone like her. But he has no options left and what he finds in her is not what he expects.
“When we do good in this world, it doesn’t matter how small we believe it to be. Kindness ripples, has an impact long after our connection is finished. To me, you’re a hero.”
This was such a lovely read, I thought I would hate how unsure Beck was but to be honest it just made me like him even more. The chemistry between the two of them was entertaining to read and I loved them both. I loved Luna’s witty banter and thoroughly enjoyed every minute if this book. The secondary characters where so great and something that makes a book for me. I would highly recommend reading this book and all the books in the Bluewater Billionaires series.
This is the book that introduced me to the wonderful writing of Kathryn Nolan. Wild Open Hearts is the third book in the Bluewater series, and although I have tremendously enjoyed all of the books in the series this one is my favorite. I liked the heroine, the hero, and all the dogs. Not to mention the emotional depth, the humor, the witty dialogue, and the sexual energy. As soon as I finished the book I wanted to read it again.
Very funny! The characters were wonderful!
I love the Bluewater Billionaires, and Luna may be my favorite of the four. Her accepting her culpability in losing touch with the beliefs that her company was to represent and becoming invested in the rescue rather than using it as a photo op was heartening. Beck made me smile from the get-go. Lucky Dog reminds me of the rescue where we got one of our dogs so there is an extra connection for me. I whole heartedly recommend Wild Open Hearts.
Wow! Wild Open Hearts by Kathryn Nolan deserves more than five stars. You can tell that not only a lot of love but a lot of research went into the creation of this book. What started as a billionaire book really ended up being a book about rehabilitating dogs and finding their perfect human matches. I found this aspect of the book very interesting.
In many ways this was also a book about rehabilitating people. Luna needed to go back to what she believes in and Beck needed to move on from his past with his family. Wes, Emily, and Jem needed to move on from their lives of crime.
Expect a few tears as you read this book. There’s a scene between Beck and Jimmy that is so moving you will be reaching for a tissue.
Luna is a spectacular heroine. Going into this book I was thinking she might be a little ditzy but I was way off base. Luna is an amazingly strong woman with a very big heart.
Beck is a big, bearded grump who is living in the shadow of his MC family who he left 20 years prior. Deep down Beck is a loving, caring person to the dogs and his close group of friends.
Like all of Kathryn Nolan’s books, Wild Open Hearts will teach you something you didn’t know before, in this case the rehabilitation of dogs. I love this about her writing.
This was my first book by Kathryn Nolan, but it won’t be my last. I loved everything about this book – Luna’s free spirit and hippie lifestyle, Beck’s tough exterior that hides a heart of gold, all the unique and interesting peripheral characters. I swooned, I laughed, I cried – I couldn’t put it down until I was finished. Definitely a must-read!
Absolutely loved this book….great story…wonderful couple and dogs! A great book from one of my favorite authors!
Bluewater Billionaires or Vagillionaires as Luna aka Moon and her friends call themselves. Love the strong empowering relationships between these ladies. With their crazy enclave and even crazier pets. This time up is Luna and Beck. Luna is an vegan/ Instagram influencer and a make up company owner. After findings about her company get bad press she needs to clean up her image. She volunteers at an dog rescue and meets Beck Mason. Brck Grumpy at first sight and Luna radiates sunshine wherever she goes. Once Beck sees her caring attitude with a certain dog on site he softens up. They form a friend and so on. Great cast of characters and canine friends.
I’m a huge fan of Kathryn Nolan, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book! I loved how Beck and Luna brought out the best in each other and how explosive this opposites attract romance was when all that slow burn tension paid off *fans self*. I loved this story and can’t wait to dig in to the other novels in the series. 5 hippie stars!
This book has ALL. THE. FEELS!!! Good-natured, warm-hearted billionaire heroine and gruff, sexy, animal-rescuing, hero with a troubled past.
Luna has to figure out a way to save her cosmetics empire when it is revealed that one of the suppliers for her vegan makeup actually tested on animals. When her millions of Instagram followers start saying she is a fraud and a hypocrite, Luna does some serious soul-searching to not only try to save her business but to remember the goal she had when she started was to make the world a better place.
Beck is trying to make ends meet for his animal rescue facility and is reluctant to be the “face” of the organization as his past is one of a troubled youth caught up in the violence of a motorcycle club ran by his now-estranged parents. His struggles to rise above his past have caused self-worth issues but his generosity towards others who have been down similar paths gives him a loyal support group.
When Luna decided that Beck’s rescue group is the outlet she needs to “rehab” her image, little did either of them know what an impact it would make on them personally.
I have to say that the first kiss between Luna and Beck was one of the hottest, explosive kisses I have ever read! I think I had to put down my smoldering Kindle and fan myself! Absolute hot grown up man plus equally as hot Harley plus an orgasmic on-the-bike liplock equals fireworks.
This is a must-read and a fantastic addition to the Bluewater Billionaires!
Thank you Enticing Journey for an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own, and I voluntarily reviewed this book.
Wild Open Hearts
Bluewater Billionaires
By: Kathryn Nolan
*REVIEW*
Wild Open Hearts is another great Bluewater Billionaires story. The heroine, Luna, is a carefree hippie with a kind loving heart that led her to create a cruelty free cosmetics empire. Luna is also a beacon of goodness to her massive Instagram following-until a scandal completely shatters the image Luna has worked so tirelessly to cultivate. Regardless of what Luna did or did not do, we all know how quickly a tiny sliver of scandal in the social media sphere can raze a lifetime of achievement to the ground. Luna decides to volunteer at a rescue dog shelter for damage control and image repair. The shelter is run by Beck, a former MC biker, who is big, burly and suspicious of Luna’s motives. As it happens, this nonprofit shelter needs funding, and Luna certainly has no shortage of funds. Perhaps Beck and Luna can help each other in this predicament? Going forth, with a bit of sexy motorcycle action and some laughs, Luna and Beck realize some hard truths about themselves. I love how the author weaves a solid entertaining narrative with some important life lessons seamlessly. Luna is the kind of women I would hang out with because I am a bit hippie, too. Her ambition and perseverance are inspiring. Beck is a man after my own heart, and I adore him. He is just a really good guy. Together, these two are dynamite, and the story sparks. I loved reading about Luna and Beck. Whether you call it romcom, chick lit or something else entirely, this is a fantastic story not to be missed!
Luna and Beck are an amazing couple!!! They have such wonderful chemistry!!!! Kathryn Nolan wrote one of the best books I’ve ever read from her!!!! I am so stoked to read it again!!!!
4.5 stars
I forgot how much I love Kathryn Nolan’s writing. This was definitely my favorite story of the series so far. It probably helps that I’m a rescue animal lover.
Luna gets a big reality check regarding where her values lie and realizes she needs to shift her focus and get back to the mindset that created her company. She finds Lucky Dog pet rescue as well as the man that will soon steal her heart. Beck did not grow up in the best situation but thanks to a dog rehabilitation program his eyes were opened. He is reluctant to work with Luna at first but seeing her interact with the dogs quickly changes his mind. It’s definitely a bumpy road for these two (throwing up a lot of roadblocks themselves) but they end up just where they belong.
3 1/2*
Luna’s make up company is in trouble after a supplier was found to be using animals for testing.
Beck meets Luna when her mentor recommended she got involved in a non profit organisation to help her imagine.
Beck struggles with trust after his childhood, Luna has always had & shown the love.
I’ve loved Luna’s character in all the Bluewater billionaires books.
This is the third book in the Bluewater Billionaires series and the first book for me by author Kathryn Nolan. It took me a wee bit to get into this book only because I am dyslexic and I did not know her style of writing. Once I got used to it I was deeply immersed in this book. As a vegetarian myself this book touched on many “like” things. Luna is a vegan and she has issues with her skincare line because well folks have lied to her about where things have come from to make up her make-up. That and other things someone is out to get her.
She sets out to make her image better and met Beck as well as lots of cute critters. We get to know Beck & Luna the dogs and critters. We see past characters and of course characters who will be in the last book. This book has humor, romance and yes that touch of mystery. It’s the perfect third book in the series and leads up to the last book. I am so happy to find a new one click author as well!
I’m going to be honest, I didn’t know if I would enjoy reading about Luna, the heroine in this book. In the first two Bluewater books, I didn’t know if I’d enjoy the tale of the vegan makeup billionaire that has a large hippy vibe about her. However, I had read Kathryn Nolan with “Behind the Veil” and wanted to try her out in a lighter book. I’m so glad I did. I loved every word written in this book. I understood and connected with Luna more than I thought, and though I’m not a vegan, the thread and story of standing up for your values resonates across many fronts. And Beck… oh my Beck… I need a fan. That man… I have zero words. Highly enjoyed this read!
