Deep inside her lives a wild thing. And it’s straining to get free.
Ripped from her plans for freedom by a group of kidnapping magical killers, Kiema Feuer once again has to save herself. This time though, she’s got more help. But even when she’s safe, she’s not out of danger.
Caught between fanatic magical killers and long forgotten gods, Kiema is forced to deal with the fact that everyone … that everyone around her wants something from her. Too bad the only ones she wants to help are the men she’s come to love. Added to all of that is the realization that she’s carrying magic inside her that makes an ageless goddess nervous.
Her life is a wild tornado that not even the best seer could have forecast. Will Kiema be able to thwart the plans everyone else has for her, or will she end up as a sacrifice in a war she didn’t want to be part of?
Don’t miss Wild Magic, the second of the Iron Serpent Chronicles by Sadie Jacks. If you like badass women, interesting magic, and sexy as sin men, then Wild Magic will have you staying up way past your bedtime!

After the first book, I was craving to know what happens next, and Wild magic did not disappoint. Sucking you into a crazy world of action and Kiema truly showing how strong she is. Not to mention how she is a badass warrior who will not allow her life to be controlled.
The story line is great, really follows through and doesn’t rush through plot just to get to the next part. Great humor and fun to read. I can not wait to see how the family takes on IS and who will come out on top!
The story, the characters, the plot twists, even the cliff at the end are all perfect. I was on a high , coasting through the entire book with ease. Love these characters, and the fact that Ki gets to lay claim to all of them without being sexually romantic with them all is so much fun too. Loved it, and can not wait for more.
This one was even more exciting than the first. The evil IS is moving against Kiema and her men but she’s learning new tricks as well. Her men, both lovers and guardians, are leveling up with her and Magic is exploding everywhere. It’s hard to keep turning pages fast enough to keep up with the plot. The sex us smoking hot and I love that not necessarily every man in her life is meant to be a lover. Done love is familial but just as strong. Beautiful and powerful story, ready for book 3.
For some reason, parts of this book irritated me. Don’t get me wrong, I love the plot and I love the characters, but for some reason, this book did not resonate with me. There are some aspects of it that left me annoyed and a few times when I was just confused. Overall it was a pretty good book, but I feel like it could have been a better sequel.
This book picks up a few days after the first book ended. We start with Kiema’s POV, and she spends a lot of time trying to explian what happened the last few days, the days that are lost between books. This part is where I was left confused, but maybe that’s what Sadie Jacks was aiming for. Kiema herself is confused about what is going on, so her narration is not exactly reliable. This person is bad, then he’s good, then he’s bad again, but this is all within a few pages so it left me confused and irritated. Also, Kiema trying to explain recent events, ones that were between books, could have been explained better, I feel like.
The book does get better as it goes on though. There is no more confusion, mainly because the reader is there to read about everything that is happening. Describing events that happened off the page, and the only thing the reader has to go on is the explainations by characters is always a little annoying to me. The description is never fully whole nor does it ever make complete sense. But this is just a pet peeve of mine, more than anything else. Another thing that bothered me, was how the guys were instantly and completely in love with Kiema. While I normally like books that are fast burn, it bothered me in this book. The way the guys acted and responded to events in the book did not make sense considering how long they’d actually known Kiema. They had only really met towards the end of the last book, and in the beginning of this book they were completely in love with her basically, whether it be romance or familial. I don’t know why this annoyed me, but it did.
You meet some new characters in this book, and they are a great addition to the group. I already have another favorite character. More things about Kiema’s life are explained, and more questions pop up as well. The mystery surrounding Kiema just gets bigger; when one question is answered, two more pop up in its place. She’s an intriguing character, and the reader is left wondering who, exactly, she is and what she’s capable of. As always, Asher is a favorite of mine and he just gets better with each book it seems. I love the whole group, and I love their dynamic. The banter is hilarious and I always end up laughing out loud pretty often throughout this book.
I may be a little lukewarm about this book, but I will still definitely continue this series. I’m too invested and way too curious to stop now.
Despite my annoyances, this is still a series I would recommend to people.
keeps getting better and the ISC is truly wrapped up in everything … Kiema’s mates and guardians are working on their bonds plus how to save humanity. cannot wait for the next!!
As spellbound as I was with the first book in Iron Serpent Chronicles, it just continues here. Fast-paced and with twists and turns. I hardly know what to say about it, because it is ALL still spinning in my head – I am SO much off for book 3 to find out more about Kiema and her mates and protectors.
I absolutely LOVE Kiema and her crew!! <3 Definitely worth reading!
This book has a rollercoaster of emotions. Kiema is still learning more about her powers and her merry band of men. You will laugh, be surprised and touched in this episode of Kiema’s life. Saint/Ten are such great characters and really learn to work together in how to help Kiema in the future. Asher is such a goofball but totally lovable.
This is a fantastic follow up to Caged Magic! I am loving this series! Kiema and the guys are amazing, I am in love with them all! This book is chalk full of action and intrigue! There is a ton of enlightenment into the characters given in this book. You do not want to miss it! Definitely a five star, must read for me!
This story picks up right after book 1. The guys are trying to find Kiema and she is trying to find her way back to the guys. We learn more about Kiema and her powers, and the guys powers. I really liked seeing Kiema grow. The guys are hot, but I was kind of sad that her relationships with several of the guys changed and were more platonic, especially since one of the guys was a fave of mine 🙁 The story does end at a climatic 😉 time, but I’m super excited to see that the next book should be out in a couple weeks 🙂
