He’s all about cracking heads, having a good time, and when the Chaos Motorcycle Club needs someone to do the tough job, they call on him.But Hound has a secret. He fell in love with a woman years ago. She’s untouchable. Unattainable. And even when her status changes, for Hound, it remains the same.Keely Black had it all early and lost it all not long … lost it all not long after. Thrown into an abyss of loss and grief, she’s faced a life of raising two sons alone and battling the rage at all that had been ripped from them.
And why.

If you loved the series, Sons of Anarchy, and you’ve loved Ashley’s other series’ (BDSM included) you will love this book. Summer time is the right time to immerse yourself in a good book. This flawed hero and heroine will grab you and not let you go!
I can’t even begin to describe how much I freaking adored Hound and Keely! OMG, my heart is swooning.
About Wild Like The Wind:
Keely found love at a young age. She found the love that is never-ending and undying with a well-respected biker. But with extreme highs come unbelievable lows and Keely lost her husband in a horribly violent death.
Hound has loved Keely from the moment he saw her, but he could never have her because she belonged to his club brother Black. In life and in death. He sees Keely is still taking Black’s death day by day. So when she comes to him and offers her body to him on a silver platter, he loses his will to fight and takes something that he’s wanted for so long.
Hound is a man who knows how to treat a woman and how to be a great brother to his club. But when a line is drawn and he’s forced to put a foot over said line to get what he wants, he is soon to find out what he’s truly willing to sacrifice in the name of love.
My Thoughts:
When I first started reading Wild Like The WInd, I was into Hound’s sexy beast vibes. Because Hound is an enforcer, I imagined him to have a dark past and a dark vibe, what I didn’t imagine is for this beast of a man to be so god damn sweet. I freakin’ adored Hound and everything about him. I loved his dark and his light.
Keely is a free spirit! I loved her attitude and her ‘screw with my family, you screw with me vibes. My heart broke for her and the war she dealt with in terms of having to let go of her deceased husband.
Hound and Keely together are a match made in heaven, she’s the free spirit to his grounded. He’s the dark to her light. It was also endearing to see how Hound treated Keely and Black’s boys as his own. He helped morph and shape them into the men they have grown to be. I adored his fatherly…not so fatherly….advice… HEHE.
Don’t even get me started on the sexy times! Holy Hell does this man know what he’s doing! The chemistry between he and Keely nearly melted my kindle! KA knows how to write some scorching sexy times!
Overall, Wild Like The Wind is an epic addition to the Chaos series! I have said this every time I write a review for a Chaos novel…I simply can’t get enough of these Chaos MC men! I am in deep!

He topples all KA’s hero’s. He is #1.
Keely and her boys will own you, they will make you son happy tears. They will make you feel their pain and when they all get their HEA you will be tearing again.
Fuckity these two and their chemistry, their love and friendship. Their admiration and respect for each other and Everyone they care for is utterly Beautiful.
Enjoy this magical story. You will end on wanting to go back and start again that’s how amazing this story is.
Enjoy…
Nobody writes an alpha who loves his woman hard like Kristen Ashley, and I think that this book was one of my favorites from her.
I went into Wild Like The Wind by Kristen Ashley fresh from a Chaos re-read. At this point in a series, I begin to have trouble keeping track of all the characters, and I felt a bit lost in Rough Ride, so I decided a re-read was in order. I am so glad I did! I have been in Chaos heaven for weeks! (Can I stay please?) I will admit, I still had a little trouble keeping all the characters straight, but it was a whole helluva lot easier after a series reread!
She was not his.
She was Black’s.
And she always would be.
Black has been gone 18 years. He was the light of Chaos, and he was taken down during the time that Tack came in to clean up Chaos. Black left behind his wife, Keely, and their 2 boys. Keely and Black were everything beautiful in a biker couple, and it’s a strict rule in the biker world: If a brother dies, his woman is strictly off-limits. There is no grey area, even after 18 years.
“Lived with that for years, bein’ in love with a woman I can’t have.”
Hound is one of the roughest in Chaos, in charge of enforcing and “wet work”, so it’s hard to believe he has a major soft spot, but oh, he does. He has been secretly in love with Keely since before her husband died, and 18 years later, his feelings are still as strong (not a spoiler, we know this from previous books). He delivers the Chaos checks to her monthly and has been the man in her kids’ life. But he has never stepped over the line. Keely is a beautiful biker babe with Native American roots. Chaos is in her blood. But for 18 years it’s been Hound who has been there for everything, and until she almost loses him, she doesn’t realize what they really have.
“I gotta burn bright, honey,” I said softly. “I gotta start tearing this life up.”
When she comes to Hound, there is no way he can say no. But it’s just sex (and a whole lot of it!), because nobody can ever find out. If they did, Hound would have to choose between her and Chaos.
“It would be her who ended it. Because no matter how much it took, how deep it dug, how empty it left him, he’d give her what she needed even if it left nothing of him, and after she was gone, he drifted to ash and blew away with the wind.”
At first, it seems she is using him to get what she needs.
“I want wild. I want fire. With you, I’m Keely. You take me hard. You ride me rough. I’m not a mom. I’m not the attendance officer at the high school… I’m a woman. All woman. The woman who likes to get fucked however you wanna fuck me.”
Hound isn’t only giving everything to Keely, even more beautiful is his relationship with his neighbor, Jean. I loved that she was the typical Jewish grandma without being over-the-top and cartoonish (as a jew, it’s nice to see others in books. but a heroine would be even better than a grandma!) Still, Jean stole my heart, or actually, it was Hound’s gentle and respectful care of her that completely wrecked me for him.
All of a sudden, those faded blue eyes on him were piercing. “You are the kindest, most gentle soul I’ve ever had touch mine. If you do not give that to a child, Shepherd, that will be lost to this world and that would be such a crying shame, it’d be hard to reconcile it.”
Once Hound and Keely get together, they need to make up for the years they spent secretly wanting the other.
18 years these two spent alone. 18 years living half a life. Chaos may be a club of vigilante outlaws, but they take their code seriously and any romance between Hound and Keely will not be accepted by the club.
“Wild like the wind,” she whispered…
“Baby?”
“I was once that,” she told him. Yeah she was. Wild and beautiful and happy and carefree.
“I know you were,” he replied.
“Feels like centuries ago.”
Where his thumb could reach, he stroked her face. “I know.”
Likes:
•The whole background of the club history was laid out in this story instead of just inferring it from pieces that have been dropped along the way.
•There was a good amount of recap and explanation and I found this easier to follow than Rough Ride.
•Keely was the first actual biker babe to be a heroine in this biker series.
•Holy hot and dirty sex!
•I loved her kids and the part they played in this story.
•Crossovers from Rock Chicks, Dream Man and Unfinished Heroes series
•Jean, the Jewish Grandma.
•Hound and Jean’s relationship.
•How Hound helped around the house.
•Seeing the younger generation step up to Chaos.
•Left us wanting for more, but not with a cliffy.
•I love the way it started from Hound’s POV.
•Answered a lot of questions about the club and the background.
Dislikes:
•I know it’s a biker book, but “shooting a massive wad down her throat” made me gag more than it was sexy.
•The whole Valenzuela story ARC is getting a little too drawn out and confusing to follow.
•Having a little trouble keeping track of all the characters at this point.
The Down & Dirty:
Sigh…there is nothing like reading a Kristen Ashley book. Wild Like The Wind took a while to read because it’s longer and more detailed than most books, but I was also traveling, and it was so dirty I couldn’t read on the plane for fear of who might read over my shoulder! I love books with older kids, and seeing Keely’s boys growing up to be loyal Chaos boys was pretty awesome. But it was Hound’s relationship with Jean that really stole my heart. Once again, Kristen Ashley had me swooning, laughing, crying and hugging my kindle. Wild Like The Wind is the perfect addition to the Chaos series, effortlessly weaving together the past and the present to bring us a refreshing and new story with familiar characters we love.
Rating: 4.5 Stars, 4.5 Heat(Reminder, the Kristen Ashley scale means a 4.5 KA book is probably 5 from anyone else)
Oh how much I have been addicted to the Chaos series. This clad of MC is my favorite and they truly feel like home for me. This story is about hope and love. Starting over and learning you are enough on both sides. Keely is my hero and Hound is the protector all of these years. I love the love he has for Keely’s boys and then some.
The words flowed beautifully and made you tear up a time or two. I wanted to wrap my arms around Hound. Tell him he is The One!
Wild Like the Wind is a story about rebuilding and finding love all over again. Truly, madly, and, deeply. This book is Chaos <3
I loved this one so much. Wild Like the Wind is fantastic. It has to be one of my favorite Chaos books yet. I love Hound. You really feel for him as he keeps everything locked up to himself instead of acting and sharing. He does everything for Keely over the years after she lost her husband. You feel the connection there even before it all goes down. I love how He is with Keely’s sons. Keely and Hound are years in the making and so hot. I love the banter, the feels and everything about this one.
Love love kristen Ashley chaos is my favorite you will love this series
Oh this book made me cry, made me sob, and had me tearing up in so many ways. All the myriad of emotions, Hound and Keely had them, and they brought me right along with them. And it was amazing, it was awesome, and I loved every single second, every single moment, all the words, all the feelings. These two characters, their family, their friends, they had me hooked from the start, they took me on that ride with them, and I hung on tight and rode it with them. Loved, loved, loved, loved this book so much <3
I was getting ready to read the new novella ‘Wild Fire’ and I wanted to refresh my memory of Dutch Black. I decided to re-read ‘Wild Like the Wind’ for the second time and was blown away. If I am excited about a book, especially one by Kristen Ashley, I tend to read really fast. I don’t mean to but I can’t help myself. I enjoy her books so much, and revisiting her characters, all of the Chaos family, that I just have to absorb her words as fast as humanly possible. When I do this, I realize that at times I may miss out on some the goodness. When I then re-read the book, I get it. All of It. That is exactly what happened with ‘Wild Like the Wind’. The emotions in this book where deep and moving. The characters, including secondary ones, were beautifully written. I loved the story line and understand why Dutch and Jagger deserve books of their own. Thank you Ms. Ashley for an amazingly beautiful story. I’m ready now to read ‘Wild Fire’ and I will try to read it at a more sedate pace and will probably fail but that just means I’ll get to enjoy reading it a second time.
Spellbinding!
Keely and Hound’s journey to their happy takes almost 18 years and the ride is wild, soul stirring, heart wrenching, breath taking, soft and tender, and utterly unforgettable. Hound is such a multi faceted personality and his badass vibe is totally real. He is a man of few words, but oh, his actions speak volumes. Keely, her sons, his Chaos brothers and his elderly neighbor(his “Jean bug”) are the blessed recipients of all the good this badass biker has to offer.
Absolutely fabulous! Classic Chaos and totally bad a$$ from the top to all the biker babes, this was classic KA and tshe narrator did a perfect job. It was about time Keeley found her happy and so glad Hound finally got his KiKi. He has been Dutch and Jag’s stand-in step-dad for years without the title and now they have their happy. Listening to it in audio was something special! Definitely the way to go.

I loved every second of it.
The beginning is incredible and takes us back in time to when Tack 1st took over Chaos.
The middle is breathtaking.
The end is spectacular.
The whole story was phenomenal.
Hound & Keely burn the pages up throughout the story.
They made me laugh and tear up. They also steamed up my kindle and my glasses. Their story was intoxicating.
The two of them and Jean Bug stole my heart.
Keely’s boys are Awesome.
The mystery, crime and suspense kept me enthralled. I could not stop reading.
There are some really fantastic twist I did NOT see coming.
And…..Color me surprised, Ms. Ashley kept her rambling descriptions (for her) to a minimum. Lmbo

Liked it but didn’t love it.
After Rough Ride, I was actually more interested in the plot revolving the bad guys then I was the romance between Hound and Keely. I was only partially satisfied as some new villains were introduced which seems odd, and I still don’t know why Snapper was walking in the rain.
WLTW is really the story of how Hound and Keely have sex, more sex, and even more sex while they hide their relationship from Chaos. Maybe it’s just me, but despite all the sex I didn’t have a great handle on Hound’s unrequited love. His moody tension from the other books gave me more feelings than this one. Keely was the instigator, and I think Hound took one too many blows to the head for him to get the fact that she wants him, not the sainted Black. That disconnect plus some other character issues just left me with an okay feeling.
That said, I stayed up till the crack of dawn to read this.
Let’s face it, if you are a Kristen Ashley fan or a Chaos fan you’re going to read this regardless of any review, and it’s not like it’s terrible. It is simply not as good as the first few in the series, but that’s pretty normal for any longterm series.
Here’s hoping KA hits it out of the ballpark with her next and, sniffle, last Chaos book.
This turned out to be one of my best reads in a while. I love the characters its like they are family to me now that I have read so many of Kristen’s books. She is a great author.
MC romance novels are not my typical fare, but when a novel comes out by Kristen Ashley I always pre-order. This one didn’t sit too long on my virtual shelf because Tack, the leader of the Chaos motorcycle club is one of my favorite characters, he and Tyra’s story, Motorcycle Man is my go to Alpha male/sassy chick read. I did get a little of Tack and Tyra in Wild Like the Wind, but the couple this book focus’s on is Hound and Keely. Now, Hound is a pretty familiar character. He’s been involved in quite a few of our other Chaos novels, but Keely has not entered this realm. Or so I thought! Keely is actually the widow of Black, the Chaos member who died years ago and who all of the members have tattooed in memorandum somewhere on their body. As an ex-Chaos members wife, Keely should be off limits to another brother, but Hound has been in love with her since he set eyes on her. For that reason their story was pretty tenderhearted. (Key the sound of cars crashing and tires squealing. Yes! It was tenderhearted, in an Alpha biker kind of way!)
The story of Hound and Keely’s love blooming is sweet and gentle, but those sex scenes. Wow! I was a little, ummm, uncomfortable with some of these details? Yes, we are talking biker babe and grunting not very emotive biker guy. I assume they have hard core sex, but somehow my vision of their love story and Ms. Ashley’s didn’t travel the same path. I was a little disappointed! Look, I am a huge fan and I know what you get when you read a KA novel, but I don’t know. I had a problem with the sex scenes getting in the way of the story in this novel. So, I skimmed through most of them, which was about 200 pages of this novel. The actual love story was really sweet though, and I loved their story!
Soooo, if you took out those 200 pages of miscellaneous sex scenes and stick to the story of how Hound and Keely overcame their Chaos brothers objections, fell in love and got their HEA, it was pretty damned good.
I devoured this book in two days. I was excited to read it, though the Chaos series is not my favorite, but I have seriously enjoyed each installment, including this one. I do agree with some negative reviews about KA being more drama and sex than action her older novels, and yes, this one is true to most of KA’s newer books. My issue was the physical altercation between the couple and not for other people’s reasons. I totally understand why he went overboard, didn’t check it, as KA alpha men say. To find someone you love dead, feel the woman you love is using you for sex, just feeling a lot of anger like men often do. My issue is we totally should have seen more in Hound feeling wretched. Have him more traumatized by it. And I never connected to the reasons Hound kept Jean a secret. Though, I still loved the book, devoured it fast, and I was left wanting more! The writing is still excellent, but I do miss some of the older KA, Colorado Mountain series, Rock Chicks, Dream Man series, unfinished heroes, and the Burg. Chaos series has been great. Just not as fantastic for me as others.
There has not been a Kristen Ashley book I’ve read that I dd not love.
Her story has strong heroines and alpha heroes that are so protective. There is always lots of drama and even more loving!! I have read every book starting with the Dream Man series that proceeded Chaos Series and I know that there is one more book till the end. And that one is our Rush that we have seen grow up from a teenager and I can’t wait.
Wild Like the Wind was Hound and Keely’s story and what a rough ride it was. If you have read the series, you know that Keely Black was Black’s old lady before he was brutally murdered by one of Chaos enemy some 18 years ago. Hound has been in love with Keely for a long time, but she is off limits. But Keely has other ideas and Hound just got tired of fighting it and the drama begins. I love that Dutch and Jagger the sons of Black and Keeley are hugely involved in the story. We see a soft time of Hound when it is revealed that he is taking care of his elderly neighbor Jean which was so sweet.
I could go on, but I’ll let you read it for the rest of the story.
As always, we get a great epilogue, and the prologue for Rush’s story Free can’t wait!!!
I’ve read most of Kristen Ashley’s and consider her an excellent story teller.
I love this author. I have bought all her books. She writes in many different genres and all are enjoyable, easy to read, , page turners. If I had a complaint it would be the waiting for the next book. If you want a good read start with The Rock Chick series & go on from there. You won’t be disappointed.
