This was sweet.
We hear from Landon and Sunday (Sunnie), they’ve known each other forever, but only see each other as siblings, until that first kiss. That’s when things start to change for both of them.
When the second kiss comes and goes viral, that’s when they realize things weren’t just attraction between them.
It was a fun story overall, they were both trying and denying their feelings, particularly Sunnie, lol. I loved her, she was so much fun and just what Landon needed. As for Landon, he was good, I liked that he was looking for his own HEA, he’d not settle for anything less.
Fun, sweet and hot.
*Thank you to NetGalley for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*
Great start for the new generation of Wilder Irish. I haven’t read the first series, Wild Irish but now I just feel that I need to.
It is a wonderful story about two best friends and the little sister that is a tagalong but after few years and few drinks after and that unforgettable kiss, all that is changed for Sunnie and Landon’s friendship….
This story just kept my attention and I had to finish it as soon as possible, it was the situation where I almost burned my lunch simply because I was in the middle of an interesting chapter.
I am looking forward of the next instalments and on my TBR pile are the previous books by this author. Well done Mari Carr
Fun, sexy friends to lovers romance.
The books in Mari Carr’s Wilder Irish series can be read as stand alonesbut the family relationship is woven throughout the books added realism to the stories. I was really looking forward to Landon and Sunnie’s story and it was worth the wait. I loved the chemistry between them and the moments when they each realize their relationship has moved beyond friendship. The plot held my attention and the sexy scenes were well done. I received an advance reader copy via Netgalley.
5 Stars for Mari Carr’s June Kisses

Opinions expressed are my own …
This is a new author for me and after reading this book I signed up immediately for Mari Carr’s newsletter & added her to my TBR list of authors. I love her writing style …
June Kisses is part of the Wild Irish Series & each book although different characters can be read as a complete standalone. This book gives us Landon & Sunny’s ( aka Sunshine’s ) story!
These (2) have been childhood friends & like siblings since like FOREVER ! Landon is the best friend of Sunny’s older brother. There hasn’t been a time when the (3) have not been inseparable. Sunny just completed her nursing degree & Landon is a cop. Landon is coming off a serious relationship when the girl he thought he might marry leaves for New York to pursue an acting career. Sunny is a cautious dater never really letting any guy get to close & mostly seems to date for lack of a better word someone you would classify in the L = “Losers” category.
A drunken kiss , cop to the rescue set Sunny & Landon on a course for true love & an amazing HEA.
Great read!
I absolutley love the Wilder Irish series and the newest addition, June Kisses does not disappoint. Sunnie has known Landon her entire life, being that he is her brother’s best friend. Landon has never thought of Sunnie as more than a friend, until the two of them shared a kiss at a party. He has hidden his feelings, so he thought for months, until the night he saves her from being mugged and his protective side comes out. Landon can no longer hide his feelings for Sunnie. However, Sunnie has no desire to settle down…too bad the Collins Curse has other plans. I loved Landon amd Sunnie together. I was drawn immediately in to their story. As always its nice to visit with the Collins clan. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I love reading about the Collins family and this story was no exception. The effervescent Sunnie seemed like stoic Landon’s total opposite, but they actually provided exactly what the other needed. I loved the slow realization that their relationship had grown to more than they had planned, and how everyone around them saw the truth before they did. Keep up the good work Mari Carr; I can’t wait to see who is next hit by the “Collins curse”.
The 6th book in the Wilder Irish series is just a good if not better than the prior 5 plus the original Wild Irish series.
Friends to lover story with Sunnie (nurse) and her best friend Landon (cop with her father Aaron as his supervisor & father figure…no pressure there).
Love the humor and sarcasm in Mari’s writing. Another fantastic story!
I’m always so excited for a chance to jump back into the Wild/Wilder Irish worlds. These characters have held a place in my heart since my first reading of Come Monday. And this newest installment, claims it’s place right alongside the rest.
Sunnie and Landon are amazing together. There are not many better tropes than friends-to-lovers, and this version of it is done wonderfully. Sunnie is a lot like her mom Riley, with all the spitfiriness that goes with it. Landon, comes off as the more stable one, much like his mentor and idol, Aaron. But when he decides to go all in, all bets are off.
It’s always a treat to visit this series and to see the characters that we have come to love. From Wild Irish’s Riley and Bubbles exuberance and Aaron’s protectiveness, to Wilder Irish’s Padraig’s wisdom. But no character is more beloved than Pop Pop. I love how the stories always begin and end with a scene with him and the grandchild whose book it is. This may be my favorite part of the whole book <3
Overall, another amazing installment in the series. And I'm ready for the next one 🙂
*I received an ARC of this book for an honest review, but have also purchased the book on release day.*
Landon and Sunnie (Sunday) have known each other forever it seems. Well Landon is Sunnie’s brother Finn, best friend. Drunken kisses can be a dangerous thing. Especially for two friends, one who wants the family and to settle down and the other that doesn’t do relationships. However after said dangerous kiss these two friends see each other in way they hadn’t noticed before. When a photo of said kiss, see those drunken kisses are dangerous, causes an uproar Landon and Sunnie start a pretend relationship. Well ladies, pretend or not, one may get just what they want, while the other might just change their way of thinking.
June Kisses is a fantastic romantic Comedy. Landon and Sunnie are great together. I love a good friends to lovers story and Ms. Carr does it in a way that the reader can’t help but to get lost and fall in love with the huge Collins family.
Mari Carr has this amazing ability to write a story that is sweet yet sexy, emotional yet heartwarming and funny yet romantic. I know whenever I pick up a book written by Mari Carr I know I’m getting a good read. June Kisses should definitely do it on your reading list for 2019.
Wild Kisses by Mari Carr was such a fun and sexy story and I devoured this book all in one sitting. The relationship that developed between Sunnie and Landon just seemed so natural because they were already friends and hanging out with her brother, Finn who happens to be Landon’s best friend. I really enjoyed how they tried to brush their kisses off and when they finally had sex, it was smoking hot as only this author knows how to write. I loved how everyone knew how Landon felt about Sunnie from his expression captured on camera except Sunnie herself who’s in denial. I enjoyed watching Sunnie face some truths and seeing their love story played out. Another Irish Wilder story that was heartwarming to read and i cannot wait for the next one in this series that I love.
Received an advance copy from Booksprout.
Excellent story, has a good plot, good story line and great chemistry between Landon and Sunnie. Quick, fun read.
Mari Carr is one of my favorite authors and June Kisses is a fantastic addition to the Wilder Irish series. This is the story of Sunnie, who is Riley and Aaron’s daughter. They had their own book from the original Wild Irish series (Saturday Night Special). This book focuses on Sunnie’s relationship with her brother’s best friend, Landon. This book had so much heart and the relationship between Sunnie and Landon was sexy and romantic. This book can be read and enjoyed as a standalone, however, if you haven’t read the rest of the series I would definitely get it. My favorite part of the series is that we get to see characters/family members from the other books. I love seeing the family continue to grow and change. June Kisses was a great read and I can’t wait to see Sunnie’s brother Finn get his own book in the future!!!
Will June kisses lead to a June bride?
The first book I ever read by Ms. Carr was “Come Monday” which is the book that introduced the Collins family. I can honestly say that I love this new story as much as I did that very first one. I can also say that I need to go back and read all the stories in both the original “Wild Irish” and the new “Wilder Irish” series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Mari Carr is the type of author that can write any genre, and any trope and even the most picky reader can fall in love with her stories.
June Kisses is Sunnie Youngs book. She’s been best friends with Landon forever but after one viral kiss, shes not sure where they stand.
I wish I could find a “Hot Cop” of my own, because Landon is insanely sweet and oh so devilish in the bedroom. The perfect guy to finally tame Sunnie.
I can’t lie, The Wild Irish and Wilder Irish Series has a very special place in my heart but Mari Carr keeps out doing her self with each book.
I’ve loved all of the Wild Irish stories, and the Collins family just keeps getting better with time. This book takes several of my favorite tropes and puts them all together in one fun, crazy story. As always, there are plenty of laughs, family support and love.
Landon has been a peripheral part of the Collins Clan since he was young. Growing up with his mother as his only family, he loved the chaos that came with being around them. He envied their closeness and support, and wanted that for himself. His determination to have a family of his own led to heartache, and some confused feelings.
Sunnie is a free spirit. She works hard, and plays harder. She lives each day to the fullest. She loves her family, but is determined not to fall for the “Collins Curse”. She wants to enjoy her single life, staying away from commitment, and love.
This book was so much fun! Even though they are so different, Landon and Sunnie are so perfect for each other. Their chemistry is off the charts hot, explosive really! Anyone who has read and loved the Wild (and Wilder!) Irish books, will love Landon and Sunnie too!
The book is a good romantic comedy read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is a fun, sexy friends to lovers romance, and a quick read.

I just love the Colin’s family. Mari Carr has created one of my most favorite book families ever. Sunday and Landon are the perfect friends-to-lovers couple that you can’t help but love. I can’t wait to see what Mari gives us for July.

I am so excited that June Kisses is my first review of the new year. This was another excellent love story by Mari Carr. Landon, Sunnie and her brother Finn have been best friends since they were children. Even though in the beginning Sunnie was the little sister that was constantly horning in on guy time, but as they got older, she became part of a trio. After a drunken kiss one night, things start to change between Sunnie and Landon, they are both shocked by their reaction but try to play it off as nothing. It was after Landon saves her from a mugging that he no longer doubts his feelings towards Sunnie. Unfortunately Sunnie is not in the place in her life to settle down. She knows all about the Collins curse; once they find love nothing else matters. She wants all that but not yet, she wants to continue with her nursing career for awhile, sow a few wild oats, but Landon has found his one and he will stop at nothing to have her.
This was such a great read! I loved everything about it. I really loved Sunnie’s character, she is a fun-loving, free-spirit, but I think Landon was my favorite. He comes across as this nice, romantic guy looking for “the one” but boy he can be a very bossy bad boy alpha. The heat between the two becomes scorching, the things he says and does to Sunnie to convince her they are meant to be is off the charts hot. When Sunnie finally realizes this “pretend girlfriend” ploy may not be so pretend, her fear of commitment comes to the forefront and she runs. But when the ex-girlfriend returns all bets are off.
I love this family so much, Pop Pop is always a favorite, his wisdom, the love he still has for his Sunday and the love he has for the whole family is so heart-warming. I highly recommend this book! I cannot wait for the next installment!
Thank you Netgalley and Kobo Writing Life for giving me the opportunity to read this complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
Holy cow, Mari Carr!
To be fair, I have read and loved the Wild Irish series and this spinoff featuring the next generation, Wilder Irish. But honestly, the books and the series just keep getting better and better.
June Kisses is about Sunday/Sunnie Young and Landon Riggs. Landon and Finn, Sunnie’s older brother, have been best friends practically since they could walk, and over the years, Sunnie transitioned from being the tagalong baby sister to one of their best friends too.
After a spur-of-the-moment drunken kiss neither is able to forget, Sunnie and Landon’s friendship as they know it is on the cusp of change. It’s Ms Carr’s talent that brings us along for the roller coaster of emotions to be unleashed.
Landon’s loved the Collins family for as long as he can remember. He grew up with a single mom, and the Collinses welcomed him with open arms and ready support. He even became a police officer in part because of how much he admired Finn’s dad, Aaron, who is now his commanding officer. Landon’s a steady soul, and while the kiss surprised him, he quickly realizes that Sunnie is everything he didn’t even realize he was looking for. She’s spontaneous, all-in for any adventure, and he can easily see kissing only her for the rest of forever.
Sunnie’s grown up with the comfort and certainty of the Collins’s family love, but while she knows she wants the whole hearth and home thing sometime, she’s in no rush. Freshly graduated and loving her work as an oncology nurse, she’s determined to wring all the pleasure she can from the string of hot guys she casually dates. The kiss, and the fallout from the viral video of it, forces her to face some deeper feelings head on, whether or not she thinks she’s ready to.
Sunnie and Landon’s story stands alone well, but part of the pleasure of the Wild Irish and Wilder Irish stories is the chance to see others in the Collins’s extended family and catch up with all the hijinks.
June Kisses is a sizzling hot and sweetly emotional read for the keeper shelf.
Sunnie, Landon, and her brother Finn have been best friends since childhood. Sunnie is the free spirited, commitment phobia, and a nurse. Landon is a cop and is ready for the white picket fence and kids. When Sunnie is mugged and Landon pulls up and the guys runs, the reporter riding with him, catches Landon kisses Sunnie and then carries her to the car. It becomes a viral hit and he has women parked outside the precinct and following him. So he comes up with an idea to have Sunnie play his pretend girlfriend. But really he wants her to be his real girlfriend, it’ll just take some planning and wild sex.
Funny. Friends to lovers. Very steamy. And of course Pop Pop and his wisdom. I can’t wait to read about Finn. This family is loving, crazy, and makes you want to be a part of them too.
