A captivating friends to lovers romantic storyline. Engaging characters. A well-written book, I liked reading it. It was a pleasured to read and review it.
Sunnie Young and Landon Riggs have known each other forever. Landon and Sunnie’s brother Finn have been best friends since they were little. Landon came from a single parent home, so he loved the chaos of Sunnie and Finn’s family. Sunnie started out as the pesky little sister following around Finn and Landon. As they grew older, they all hung out together sharing their lives. Landon is a police officer in Baltimore. When his girlfriend makes the decision to move to New York City to pursue an acting career, he is devastated. After many tequilas, a drunken kiss and some sexy talk, Sunnie and Landon’s relationship changes. One night, Sunnie gets mugged and Landon who happens to be patrolling with a reporter in tow, rescues her. In the heat of the moment, Landon kisses her and carries her to the car. Of course, the reporter videos them and they become an internet sensation. To get the heat off of him and get rid of all of the women following him, Landon suggests to Sunnie that they pretend to be a real couple. Soon Landon realizes that he actually has romantic feelings towards Sunnie and not brotherly ones. Sunnie is slow to follow. She wants to focus on her new career as an oncology nurse.
I really enjoyed reading this story about Landon and Sunnie. What started out as a drunken kiss, soon led to something more serious. It took time for both of these characters to change how they thought of each other, less like brother and sister and more like something else. It was a slow process before both realized that they were always meant for each other. We are also entertained by the rest of the clan that live in the dorm above the bar. I love each and every one of these characters. This story was funny, romantic and tugged at your heart strings, everything we expect in a book by Mari Carr. As always, I look forward to the next book in this series.
June Kisses is the 6th book in the Wilder Irish series. The Collins family is one of my all time favorites and I love being able to come back and visit them with each of the books in this series. We get to see all of our favorites and get to know the grandkids of Pop Pop. What could be better?
June Kisses tells the story of Sunnie and Landon. It’s a friends to lovers story. Landon has been a honorary Collins clan member for years. Now that’s about to change as he and Sunnie find their way dealing with their changing relationship.
This book was everything I expected and more. This series gets better with every book. I love it. I can’t wait to see what comes next. I received this book in exchange for an honest review
Sunday has always idolized her older brother Finn and his best friend Landon. As children, they first hated her following them around and bugging them. But eventually the three became a unit – best friends and family. Until one night, Sunnie and Landon are drinking and talking, and a kiss happens. A kiss she doesn’t remember the next day. But it changes the vibe between the two friends. And then, an attempted mugging completely changes their dynamic when cop Landon rescues Sunnie from her would be mugger.
These two opposites, though, have miles and miles of obstacles to hurdle, though, if they’re ever to make a thing work. For one, he’s supposed to be her family. For another, they’re so opposite each other – he the good guy rule following cop, and she the free spirited wild child nurse. How can they, will they ever, possibly ever be on the same page?
I loved this friends to lovers, brother’s best friend romance. Though completely opposite each other, Sunnie and Landon fit each other perfectly. Their story is sweet, sexy and entertaining. I cannot wait for more from this author!
Landon and Finn have been best friends since childhood. When they were young, Finn’s pesky sister Sunnie wanted to be part of their mischief and video games. After high school, the three became a trio of best friends, supporting one another through post-secondary schooling, new careers, and relationships. They are inseparable.
After one drunken kiss and one kiss under duress, Landon and Sunnie start to see one another differently. Landon eagerly accepts his new feelings, but Sunnie is afraid to get her heart broken, especially by a man who is already so important to her.
Love the ongoing family dynamic in these Wild/Wilder Irish books. Pop Pop is part benevolent patriarch and part sentimental romantic. And it was nice to check in with Riley and Aaron again.
Of course, there’s plenty of heat too. Landon is a gentleman in all things except in the bedroom, and his descriptive and dirty mouth nearly melted my ereader. Definitely recommend this series. Each can be read as a standalone, but reading them in order is much more fun.
June Kisses introduces readers to best friends Sunnie and Landon who have known each other since childhood. It was not until their first kiss as adults that they realized they had feelings for each other. Landon knowing Sunnie so well does not settle for less and is tenacious at winning over Sunnie. Mari Carr adds on another Wilder Irish story full of sweet, sexy, and funny scenes with an awesome family support system that take interventions seriously with bets, great food, and tequila.
Can your real love be the person you have known pretty much all of your life? Yes. Sunni and Landon have known each other pretty much all of their lives.
Landon was and still is Sunni’s older brother, Finn’s, best friend. Sunni has been butting into everything Finn and Logan have been doing since she was a toddler. Somewhere along the way, Sunni and Logan have fallen for each other but refuse to admit it. They finally do kiss but blame it on the tequila. They refuse to admit that they have feelings for each other until a video of them kissing is taken secretively and posted online.
And with all of the unwanted attention, Sunni and Landon are finally forced together and have to figure out that and admit what everyone else has already known for years – they belong together.
This is a sweet romance with a little bit of the naughty you expect from Mari Carr. I loved reading it during my holiday break from school since it meant that I could just sit and read. I did receive a copy of this novel in advance from the author in exchange for a fair and unbiased review. Although to be honest, her books are pre-ordered well in advance with plans to review them.
A wonderful story of love where you least expected it. The characters were awesome and their friendship was a joy to follow and to witness it bloom to more was icing on the cake. Sunnie and Landon story was an enjoyable, easy read from start to finish that didn’t disappoint and gave me the feels that made a story memorable. This is a definite must read for anyone who enjoys best friends to lovers genre.
June Kisses is a great friends to lovers read. Landon and Finn have been best friends since childhood and always letting little sister, Sunnie, tag along until she became a permanent part of the triad. Now that they are older, Landon realizes she is it for him when he rescues her from a mugger. I loved how the author didn’t create unnecessary angst over what ifs. The characters are also opposites of what is expected as Sunnie is the free spirit, not looking for commitments. They make you laugh, the sex is steamy and the Collins family, once again, does not disappoint.

I couldn’t wait to dig into this story by Mari Carr, it’s book 6 in the Wilder Irish series. Wow, what an amazing story that was, I did not want it to end, I just want to keep reading about this family because they feel like family!
Sunnie and Landon have been friends forever, Landon is her brother’s best friends, he spends lots of time with the Collins clan. Now that they are grown, Landon is a police officer and Sunnie a nurse. A video comes out when Landon rescues Sunnie from a mugger. The video goes viral and to stop all the publicity they act as a couple. But becoming a make-believe couple comes with repercussions they were not expecting, mostly their feelings for each other.
Seriously, if you have not started reading this series, you must, Mari builds such amazing characters and stories. They will have you laughing, crying, biting your nails and sighing at the love for each other, whether family or a partner. Once I start reading her stories, I just cannot put the book down, they capture my attention and I must read ‘til the end.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This was a wonderfully lovely story. It was a heartwarming read that grabbed hold and would not let go. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
Oh my! Just the perfect friends to lovers story! Sunnie Young is the typical little sister who just wants to follow her big brother and do what he does and that includes hanging out with his best friends. That is fine until they are in high school and then they become thick as thieves and that lasts well past high school until present day when they are each others best friends. After Landon breaks up with his long time girlfriend who moves away and at a party for April Fools day Landon and Sunnie are drunk and share a kiss or really two kisses. Suddenly the veil is dropped and Landon doesn’t look at Sunnie the same but still tries to maintain the best friend status. Sunnie tries another trick and ghosts him for a couple weeks until she is mugged on her way home from work and Landon just happens upon the scene. He has a reporter in his car at the time who takes a video of the incident and their interlude (kiss and all) goes viral. This brings out all the crazies, paparazzi and crazy women and all and turns out to be just what is needed to bring these two together. Pretend to date! Or is it really pretend? This story is not to be missed. Even if you have not read the rest of the series, you will not be lost and this one is perfect. Another Collins Curse has fallen. Who is next?
I really enjoyed this story about Sunnie and Landon. A great book in this series – fun, funny, sexy quick read! The supporting characters are really enjoyable. A well done friends to lovers romance!

June Kisses is the sixth book of the Wilder Irish series. I enjoyed reading about Sunnie and Landon. They are a great couple and there was a lot of chemistry. Once I started reading, I was not able to put the book down.
I simply love this series. The first thing I always think when I read any books of the Wilder Irish series is that I want to be part of this huge family. There is so much love and sympathy that it warms my heart each and every time.
I absolutely loved Landon and Sunnie! Such a great story about two people that didn’t know what was right in front of them. It took something to happen for them to realize what was really happening between the two of them.

What a great friends to much more story!!! I absolutely love the “Wilder Irish” series!!!! This was one of my favorites!! i loved Landon and his Sunshine (or Sunday or Sunnie)!!! She is freaked out about chemistry and he gets attached quickly. However, one kiss on April Fool’s Day changes everything. I loved this path these two were set on. I just wished I could have seen the video. What fantastic chemistry these two share and some definite hot and sexy moments between the sheets!!! I absolutely love Pop Pop and enjoy how he plays into these stories. I look forward to reading more in this series!!
This story is Landon and Sunnie… Sunnie is part of a large “Wilder Irish” clan that is full of love, laughter, and teasing. Landon has always wanted to be adopted into the family and Pop Pop started planning for him to join the family someday – through Sunnie. Neither Sunnie nor Landon have considered this until he rescues her from a mugger… then it’s all bets off. This is a sweet and charming story with great characters and plot lines. I loved it!

Sunnie and Landon grew up together as he was her brother’s BF.
Landon has a GF Audrey an actress who’s is moving to New York.
He’s a cop and Sunnie’s father is his boss.
A year later and he’s been a heartbroken single man.
A little tipster, he realizes he wants to kiss Sunnie.
Can they go from being besties to more?
What about when Audrey returns?
Fun and flirty.
I liked that Landon is a list maker but he certainly knows what he likes in bed.

I’ve been a huge fan of Mari Carr for many years and her Wild Irish series remains one of my favorites, and I’ve loved several of the Wilder Irish (2nd generations books), but others have just been okay for me. However, June Kisses is a big hit for me and it is absolutely one of my favorites.
I’m a sucker for friends to lovers and best friend’s little sister troupes and Mari hits both of those right out of the park in this book. Sunday (Sunnie, Sunshine) Young and Landon Riggs have been in each other’s lives since they were small children. Sunnie went from Finn’s little sister to friend at some point for Landon and they have been each other’s confidants for years. One night after too many drinks and some very frank sex talk, they kiss and their relationship is changed forever even when neither one wants to admit it.
Landon is a total good guy hero (and my crack) and it was easy to see how much the entire Collins’ clan meant to him. Growing up it was only him and his mom and he loved every crazy minute he spent with Finn, Sunnie and the rest of their relatives and he admired Finn and Sunnie’s dad so much so that he followed in his footsteps and became a police officer.
Sunnie has so much of her mom’s wild streak in her, but she is still her own person and she is determined to live her life full out and enjoy being single. Jumping from guy to guy her family suggests regularly that she might need to rethink her choices, but she laughs it away. As an oncology nurse she loves going out, having fun, and being free and then one night an incident has her seeing Landon in a whole new light.
I loved that they were both taken aback by their chemistry and how differently they both reacted to it. They had some ups and downs and it was fun watching them figure out how to deal with everything going on in their lives from viral internet fame, to her nosey relatives, to Landon’s co-workers.
Hot, sexy, romantic and fun, I loved every moment of Mari Carr’s June Kisses and this is one I know I’ll revisit often.
What’s not to love in this best friends to lovers romance? Mari Carr has once again written a great entry in the Wilder Irish series that will make you thankful that there are so many Collins children that need to be paired up! While this book is part of a larger series, it can be read as a stand-alone novel. However, once you’ve read one, you’ll be hooked.
