Landon & Sunnie have been best friends for yrs, along with her brother Finn. One kiss at her cousin Fiona’s “Anything Goes” April Fools party changes everything! Neither of them expected the feelings blindsiding them. Sunnie is terrified to get involved, Landon can’t wait to win her heart. This was a dance around the obvious(to her family), steamy, sexy, super hot love story! This series just keeps getting better!
I love a brother’s best friend story and as usual Mari Carr delivers!
Ms Carr’s Wild Irish world continues to surprise and delight us readers with each new story.
The characters jump off the page and each and every page keeps you turning for more and more. and if you’ve read the original series then the continual development that you see thought the eyes of the kids and grandkids, well its magical.
A story that had me laughing and crying and feeling through my whole body. definitely need to read this book and the whole series.
Widely known as being afraid of love, Sunny ‘Sunshine’ Young, has a carefree attitude for life. Her brothers best friend Landon is hands down the opposite. Planning his forever after and going for it. Until one fateful night.
A mugging, a reporter, and one hot-hot kiss. It all changes. Best friends become more. A “fake out” becomes real. Steamy. Hot. Yum. Seriously. Who knew Landon was hiding all that!
Favorite quote : ” She shook her head. “Those are okay for a night or two, but you know me, Landon. I suck at diets. All diets. Sure, I can exist on lettuce for a day or two, but after a few days, I’m going to cave and order the large fries at McDonalds.””
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
Landon and Sunnie have been friends since they were kids. Landon started out as Sunnie’s brother’s best friend but she kept following the boys around until they let her join in the fun. So the three of them became best friends and Landon was like her own brother. And she thought that until a drunken kiss at an April Fool’s party. Now she thinks and hopes he doesn’t remember because she doesn’t do long-term relationships or love. And Landon is looking for his one true love.
A year after his long-time girlfriend left for New York and left him, Landon has been dealing with his feelings for Sunnie and they are growing stronger since that drunken kiss. He wants to take things slow and see what happens but how does he approach the subject without running her off.
After he rescues her from a mugger, he kisses her to shut her up and someone gets it on video. When the video goes viral, everyone sees their true feelings but Sunnie. Because she didn’t watch the video close enough and she was only looking at her face.
What will happen if she watches the video and sees what everyone else sees on Landon’s face? Will Sunnie give a relationship with Landon a chance? Can they move past the video and see the truth of their feeling?
I found that I really liked this story, it is a great friends to lovers story that is filled with laughter, fun, happiness, family, a little pain, love, and a happily ever after. And this family is Irish, so you know it is going to be fun. This is a first for me in this series and from this author and I can not wait to read more from this series to see what the rest of the family has or will be up to.

Can’t say it enough how much I love these books! Sunny and Landon are so unbelievably sweet. Sometimes fate is slow going but with purpose. Now they only have to get Sunny to stay still long enough to listen to her heart.
This was a sweet drama free read. It was fun and flirty and perfect for the time that I had to read it. I enjoyed getting to know Sunnie and Landon. I’m glad they finally found each other after years of being best friends.
Mari Carr keeps bringing us back to Pat’s Pub and the Sunny Side and keeps us thoroughly engaged in the lives of the Collins Family. But, this time, she went above and beyond. June Kisses had me at Page 1 and didn’t let me go until the end.
Sunnie … Sunshine … Sunday. Whatever name you call her, you know that she’s Riley’s daughter.
She’s wild, fun and, in no way, ready to settle down. But, 2 kisses and a viral video later, she’s starting to wonder if the love of her life could have been in front of her her whole life. She’s determined to keep Landon in the “fake boyfriend” category but can’t stop herself from truly falling for the one man who has been like a brother and a best friend to her from the time that she was born.
Landon was unbelievable right from the beginning. He’s the man that’s looking to settle down, to have that white picket fence. He thought he found “the one” only to lose her to her career. Then there was that 1st fateful kiss and he was done. Now he can’t stop thinking about his best friends sister, his bosses wife … his sunshine. But, there is no way that she would agree to being his fake girlfriend and absolutely no way that she’ll accept him as anything but her “brother”. He only has a few weeks to convince her that what they have is real and that they belong together.
One kiss leads to a second which leads to Landon finally becoming a Collins.
I truly love the Wilder Irish series. It’s like catching up with old friends every time a book comes out. But, June Kisses really stands out to me. It was such a fun and romantic story. Watching these two wonderful characters go from best friends to lovers to ever-after was just heart-warming and emotional. But, one thing keeps running through my mind with every story that Mari Carr writes in this series … how much longer are we going to have Pop Pop? How in the world could this series continue without the love, understanding and wisdom of Patrick Collins? How are we, the readers, going to handle it? June Kisses made me laugh, made me cry and made me very sentimental. I had a good friend ask me how June Kisses was and my response was “it’s Mari Carr”.
This was a first read for me by this author. June Kisses is book 6 in the Wilder Irish series, but I had no trouble reading as a standalone. I loved this sweet read! Landon and Sunnie were adorable and I absolutely love friends to lovers reads so this one hit the spot.
June Kisses ticked off all my boxes. Loves after heartbreak, check. Best friends to lovers, check. Humor, check. And don’t forget the close family ties, CHECK. I absolutely loved this quick read and highly recommend for anyone looking for a sweet and fun read.
The great plot was well written and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry between the characters kept me totally hooked until the very last page!

This was another great visit with the crazy Collins clan. This time it is Landon’s turn. He shares a kiss with Sunnie that they blame on just the tequila. Flash forward to the night Landon is doing a ride along with a reporter. He spots someone being mugged and springs into action. He doesn’t realize until he’s right on top of the scene that Sunnie is the one being mugged. That leads to another kiss, although this one goes viral. Now Landon has a bunch of groupies after him and the only way to keep them away is for Sunnie to pretend to be his girlfriend. Of course that leads them both to realize just how much they want their fake relationship to turn real. Fantastic book.

Loved this sexy fun and engaging adventure filled with witty banter and a sweet friends to more romance that kept me page-turning to the very end… a very quick yet highly entertaining read.
Mari Carr writes some of the steamiest books and June Kisses is all that and more!
June Kisses was a cute quick read. This was my first read in the series and I had no problem so it can be read as a standalone. It was a sweet friends to lovers read with one sexy as hell cop. Landon was so yummy. He totally made the book for me. Sunnie I liked but I didn’t like how scared she was to be in a relationship. Sunnie and Landon had some really cute moments together. I laughed and smiled a lot while reading this book. I don’t think I have read any books from Mari Carr before but I know I will again. I did wish the book was a little bit longer but still it was a sweet read.
I absolutely love anything written by Mari Carr. And the Wilder Irish series is certainly a favorite. Wild little Sunnie is grown up and a nurse in this story, but she manages to get herself in trouble, like being mugged! But she refuses to give up her purse because it’s a Louis Vuitton! Her best friend Landon (also her brother Finn’s) is a cop and happens upon the scene and rescues her! His ride-along reporter catches it on video and hot cop and sexy nurse go viral!!! But Landon has real feelings for Sunnie and she says she’s not ready for a relationship. So what’s a guy to do? A delightful and captivating story!

This story was adorable and the characters were so close this was a great feel good read. Sunnie Collins is afraid of love and she has been dating good looking losers for years, she figures at twenty five she working on her career not getting married. Landon has been friends with Finn Collins for most of his life and now with Sunnie his sister as she stopped being a pain. When Landon’s current girlfriend breaks his heart by moving to New York Finn and Sunnie try to cheer him up but when Sunnie and Landon share a kiss things begin to change. Sunnie is fighting any feelings she has for Landon as she doesn’t want to ruin their friendship but she doesn’t see what everyone else does.
Even though it’s the sixth book in the series it can be read as a standalone.

I enjoy this whole series even though I haven’t read them all. That’s one of the nice things with series, each book can be a stand alone. I liked both Sunnie and Landon. It seems to me that they were always meant to be even if they didn’t know it. Sunnie seemed to be more resistant to the idea of a real relationship instead of a superficial one with a superficial person. The premise of having to fake a relationship due to the results of today’s social media frenzy is a little far fetched but it works for the story. If you want an easy afternoon read, you can’t go wrong with this one.
Sunnie has known her brother’s best friend, Landon, since childhood when she was just the annoying little sister tagging along behind him and her brother, Finn. As they’ve grown up, the three have become an inseparable trio. When faced with the decision of whether or not to move to New York with his girlfriend, Audrey, Landon opts to stay in Baltimore and spends the next year in sleepless nights wondering if he made the right decision. Sunnie is impulsive and carefree flitting from guy to guy, but not serious about anyone. Honestly, she just struck me as an airheaded idiot much of the time. She puts herself in a dangerous situation which Landon saves her from and the two, or at least one of them, begin to question the true nature of their feelings for each other.
Maybe I’ve just been reading historicals too much lately, but the dialogue on this one just fell a bit flat for me. “Legit” was used as well and not even as part of a dialogue, but as a description; it drives me crazy to hear this much less see it in print. I guess that’s just a modern thing, but it still makes my eye twitch.
The blurb is a bit misleading because Landon is also Sunnie’s best friend, not just her brother’s and his ex only has one short scene; any problems between them are ones that Sunnie herself made. Despite the couple of things that made me cringe, I enjoyed the book; I was rooting for Landon, but I don’t think Sunnie deserved him.
I received a complimentary ARC via NetGalley. Thank you! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
