Sixth book in the Wilder Irish series, this series is a spin-off of the Wild Irish series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone, told in dual POV with HEA. The Collins curse strikes again! This big awesome family owns and operates a pub, so the secondary characters are always throughout. Landon is best friends with Sunnie’s brother, making them very good friends too. After sharing a drunken kiss, they start seeing each other differently, but Sunnie doesn’t do relationships. Can Landon get the relationship he wants by asking Sunnie to pretend to be his girlfriend? They have amazing chemistry and some steamy scenes, I loved it!
You can always count on the Collins clan and Marie Carr when you need an excellent story! These characters are lovable and so much fun. Pop Pop holds the whole group of kids and grandkids together. I always find myself smiling and flying through the story. June Kisses was exceptionally sexy too. Don’t miss the latest book in this series!
Another home run for Mari Carr. I don’t know how she does it. Each book in the series is as great as the last. Landon and Sunnie (and her brother Finn) are best friends. Landon wants to be part of her huge, loving family. He’s become a cop just like her Dad. At the April Fools party they kiss but each act like it didn’t happen because they were “drunk”. Then one night (with a reporter in the car) Landon finds Sunnie in the middle of a robbery. He is so upset about the event and happy she is ok that he gives her a big kiss. This kiss goes viral because of the reporter. Landon realizes he’s in love with Sunnie. They begin a “pretend” relationship to get the crowds of women to leave him alone. Landon is using this time to get Sunnie to realize she loves him too. Mari delivers one freaking hot story starting when Landon tells Sunnie what he likes in bed. I love how bossy and alpha he gets. From there she brings the heat but she knows how to deliver a great story. This entire family is just the best. I have so many favorite lines from this book that either make me laugh or make me go AWWW. And Pop Pop again is a STAR (and Aunt Bubbles too )His wall of pictures at the end of each story is what I wait for. Thank you Mari for another awesome story. Oh and I loooovvveee when he calls her Sunshine!
June Kisses is book number 6 in the Wilder Irish series by Mari Carr. It’s Sunnie and Landon’s turn to have their story told.
Sunnie is the daughter of Reily Collins and Aaron Young. She Sunnie is the middle child and named for her Grandma, Sunday Collins. Sunnie has an older brother, Finn, and a younger sister, Darcy. Sunnie has always paled around with Finn and his best friend, Landon. When Landon and his girlfriend break up, he and Sunnie share a drunken kiss at an April Fools party. Afterwards, they both play it off because they were drunk and claim they don’t remember it. But they both do and it stirs up feelings that neither one washes to admit to. They’ve known each other forever and the last thing either wants is to cause a rift in the family.
One day, Landon happens to be there when Sunnie needs help and he rushes to her rescue. What results causes them to pretend to be in a relationship to protect themselves from the public. But who will protect their hearts?
I loved this book and I love this series. I can’t wait for the next one in the series.
This was so sweet! From a little girl following her big brother and his best friend around, to being best friends, to a fun loving, sexy woman, Sunnie is a perfect heroine. Landon is her perfect foil, and they never thought beyond being best friends until, one drunken, disney princess moment, changed everything. So much fun, so freakin’ sexy, and just a little bit angst, but finally a HEA that pop-pop called years before!
