International Bestselling Author Ava Miles kicks off her new series with an irreverent hero, two well-intentioned matchmakers, and a heroine as beautiful as a wild Irish rose.
Trevor Merriam doesn’t like being ordered around by his older brother, much less to a sleepy Irish village to complete a business deal for their family company.
Worse: the owner of the land he needs to buy doesn’t want … needs to buy doesn’t want him there. In fact, Becca O’Neill loathes him so much that she won’t even serve him the award-winning scones her famed Wild Irish Rose Bed and Breakfast is known for.
Even worse than that (and not getting scones is bad in Trevor’s book): Becca has an ornery cat, a mischievous Irish setter, and a lovesick alpaca that delights in chasing him around. Then there’s the woman herself. If she weren’t so indignant about his business offer, they might have a good romance budding.
Worst of all: his Uncle Arthur and Aunt Clara Hale show up from Dare Valley hoping to help him get hitched—not exactly the help he was looking for.
How in the world is he going to make this deal with his heart—and his dignity—staying intact?

Super sweet romance set in Ireland. I enjoyed every page as the story and relationships unfold.
Basically, within reason, any book set in Ireland gets a thumbs up from me. I enjoyed getting to know the quirky cast of characters. So many funny moments and sweet ones as well. I’m excited to know we will have more Aunt Clara and Uncle Arthur in the sequels. I will definitely need to read Miles’ Dare Valley and Dare River series. Making Becca agoraphobic was a unique way to add tension to her blossoming romance. Trevor’s entrance set up the enemies to lovers trope quite nicely. The descriptive writing allowed me to not only travel to Ireland but the other places Becca brought to her inn through the decorations. This was a sweet romance full of laugh-out-loud moments, family drama, and an awareness for PTSD and agoraphobia.
I love this author’s characters and writing she witty with loveable characters she didn’t let me down in this book
Very enjoyable read.
I really enjoy this author!
Loved!
Very different story. Not run of the mill love story. Actually something to it.
I put this book in the category of soft porn rather than women’s fiction. The graphic sexual details took away from the delightful descriptions of a small Irish village. My imagination works just fine so I’d rather think it than read it. The story line was slow & I found it difficult to keep engaged. I will not read any of the other books in this series.
Lots of twists and turns. Will keep you wanting to read one more chapter!
A good story with a few twists along the way. Show cases the beautiful Irish countryside
I enjoyed reading this book. All the characters are wonderful and so are the animals!
I don’t even know how to describe this. From the very beginning, I was already smiling and laughing like a fool. Becca and Trevor develop this banter from the first encounter and the flirting from the very beginning had me hoping they would give in to their attraction right away. The whole story is romantic, sweet, and funny. The additional characters with the alpaca and the rest of the animals just adds to the setting. I don’t want to say too much but if you haven’t read any Ava Miles books, you won’t be disappointed. It will only make you want to read more.

Action packed, sexy, fun and engaging journey filled with interesting charters, witty banter, heart racing twists and exciting turns. Was a great read from beginning to end, a heartwarming adventure.
This is a new to me author, and color me impressed. There were so many facets in this book, it was incredible. Not only are the characters and storyline top notch but the multiple issues touched on in this book, from family to phobia to regret, are well fleshed out but not overwhelming. An amazing book and I cannot wait to read more – both in this series and by this author.

Wild Irish Rose – This is my first from by this author and it is almost perfect. Explicit sex is boring and ruins the story’s flow trying to find the end of mess. It would be nice if books warned of explicit sex.
The multiple storylines are interesting and I realized this is part of a series while reading. I liked the characters, several of them more than others but all are necessary. They are delightful, realistic and a variety of personalities. Of course, who can resist animals, especially a lovestruck alpaca.
There is plenty of humor and a vast array of emotions. Too soon the last page arrives but a feel good sensation remains. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
Book one of The Merriams series a well written story that held my interest from the start. This is Becca O’Neil the proprietor of the B and B Wild Irish Rose and Trevor Merriam, who is sent to acquire her land. It tells why Becca can sell the land and the surprising help that his relatives give her. I want to read more in this series as I find this Author handles her stories with care. I found myself laughing out loud as I read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ava Miles can always be counted on for a good read with an uplifting storyline and interesting, likeable characters. (What woman doesn’t need a John Parker from “The Chocolate Garden” in her life? Sigh!) I really enjoy stories set in Ireland and downloaded this as soon as I knew it was available. Ava Miles is back at her best again! You will laugh, cry, be on the edge of your seat and swoon. You will root for the 2 main protagonists and chuckle at, and admire, the exploits of a returning couple. Well done, Ava Miles. Well done. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
An amazing story of love, romance, family, friendship, forgiveness and support. Being a long time fan, it’s good to know that Ava Miles can still weave a highly romantic story that is still fresh and engaging. And it doesn’t hurt to have great animal characters included. Who wouldn’t love to meet a love sick alpaca named Buttercup?
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. I really enjoyed this book. Parts of it made me laugh and there were even a few that made me cry. We meet the Merriam family, a few generations and Becca, who owns the Wild Irish Rose Bed and Breakfast. Trevor was sent to Ireland to try to convince Becca to sell her land to the Merriam family because there is oil there. She refuses to sell but Trevor refuses to give up. At first, it was because he didn’t want to disappoint his brother, but then it was because he finally had found love which he had never found before. Buttercup the alpaca, who is part of the Wild Irish Rose Bed and Breakfast, falls in love with Trevor and Buttercup made me laugh, right down to Trevor’s family taking a video and putting it on the Internet which goes viral.
We learn Becca’s story which is, yes, I will agree with one of the other reviewers a little slow but for me, it was the perfect pace for the story, because there were so many other people that added so much to the story that had to be told. The way the story was written was what gave me a wide range of emotions that this story made me feel. When a book can make me laugh, cry, feel happy and sad, and to see the Mirriam family come together and see them in action was wonderful. Yes, as I read the story, I could see it all so clearly in my head, it was amazing. As I write this review and think of Buttercup, it still makes me laugh. When I got the book I didn’t expect it to bring out so many emotions because I am not an emotional person.
I love the Merriam family. Love Uncle Arthur and Aunt Clara. I can’t wait for the next book!!
