International Bestselling Author Ava Miles kicks off her new series with an irreverent hero, two well-intentioned matchmakers, and a heroine as beautiful as a wild Irish rose.
Trevor Merriam doesn’t like being ordered around by his older brother, much less to a sleepy Irish village to complete a business deal for their family company.
Worse: the owner of the land he needs to buy doesn’t want … needs to buy doesn’t want him there. In fact, Becca O’Neill loathes him so much that she won’t even serve him the award-winning scones her famed Wild Irish Rose Bed and Breakfast is known for.
Even worse than that (and not getting scones is bad in Trevor’s book): Becca has an ornery cat, a mischievous Irish setter, and a lovesick alpaca that delights in chasing him around. Then there’s the woman herself. If she weren’t so indignant about his business offer, they might have a good romance budding.
Worst of all: his Uncle Arthur and Aunt Clara Hale show up from Dare Valley hoping to help him get hitched—not exactly the help he was looking for.
How in the world is he going to make this deal with his heart—and his dignity—staying intact?

A wonderfully entertaining read! Great characters and interesting storyline.
Love her books. humor, romance and a little twist to the plot.
Trevor is a focused businessman, but ready to re-evaluate his priorities when he meets Becca. She lost her parents tragically, but has created a family of friends who support her. She is motivated to surmount her long-standing phobia to improve what she hopes will be a life with Trevor. Trevor has a wonderfully zany family who add much to the story.
I can not stop reading this series! All. i can say is more please!
Always enjoy this author. She has interesting characters.
Because I don’t remember titles, I selected this book a second time. Shorty after beginning to read it, I realized I had read it before. I enjoyed it as much the second time. The alpaca is a great addition to the well developed main characters in this book.
I sat down to read this book the next thing I knew I had finished it.
I liked the story but could have left the sex out of it.
Book one of a series. A great read
For me, this story started slow. The characters were loveable.
The end was frustrating to me.
Great setting, interesting characters, not a traditional romance. I like the fact that the main character has agoraphobia. Worth a read!
Lovely setting, fascinating people, animals, with a little bit of whimsy.
Great Women characters!
A fun read
I love Ava Miles books. This was a really fun read. I highly recommend it.
This is a really good read in this time of covid and isolation, full of hope and determination! Really beautiful!
The family characters were very funny and it was a beautiful trip to rural Ireland.
Love reading about all things Irish!
The psychological handicap of the female lead character gave a run of the mill romance an intriguing twist. I know this is the first of a new series, but do all the series characters need to be introduced at once? Definitely worth a read for someone looking for something different in a happy ending.
Loved the writing and the story. So nice to read a book with a real story and I can tell this family is worth following.
