“The longest road out is the shortest road home.” – Irish Proverb
Admitting mistakes isn’t easy. And for hardheaded Margret O’Brien, it’s virtually unheard of. When Margaret comes back to Ireland for her daughter’s wedding, she is forced to face her past. She just didn’t expect to be doing it thrown upside down over a devastatingly handsome and exceptionally angry Irishman’s shoulder.
Yet Sean … shoulder.
Yet Sean Burke can still make her toes curl with lust.
Twenty-eight years, two countries, and years of hurt stand between Sean and Margaret’s chance at love.
Wild Irish Roots: Margaret & Sean is the dramatic conclusion to the Wild Irish Roots: Prequel.
*The prequel is included as bonus in this book. The new story begins at Chapter 17.

Great Beginning
Of you know anything about the Irish they believe in mystic happenings. Margaret has always felt different and understands that she has a gift and so does her mother Fiona. But she doesn’t want to accept, but falls in love and gets pregnant and flies to Boston.
This is the 5th book in a 6 book series. Through the first 4 books you’ve learned a little about Margaret and Sean but this book tells their whole story. It starts with when they were young and fell in love. After a horrible misunderstanding and broken hearts on both sides, Margaret leaves pregnant without telling Sean. The book then fast forwards 28 years. Margaret’s baby, Keelin, is all grown up and getting married and for the first time Margaret has to go back to Ireland and start facing her past. It’s quite sad how Margaret’s dislike of her power distorts her view of her mother and the world around her. But you understand from her side why she acts the way she does. I felt the saddest for Fiona as for 28 years she loses her daughter and the chance to know her granddaughter. The story was interesting how both Margaret and Sean had to put away their pride to find their happy ending together and in the end Margaret got her greatest wish to become normal.
Ms. O’Malley never disappoints, this is a sort of prequel that answers some of the questions the Mystic Cove series posed. Margaret is someone to gaze at in awe, and Sean is more than her match. This is a great stand alone book, and despite it being the pre-story, I would still recommend reading the whole beautiful series in the order of their publication. Prepare to be enchanted, and to fall in love with Ireland and it’s many charms.
Margaret & Sean’s story! This story brings everything full circle! I Love how you got to see where things started and how things progressed and where the future brings their Love. Wonderful series!
If you like a little magic in your reading. This is the book for you. This is a clean feel good book. This series is about the women descended from a strong pirate witch and how they learn how to embrace their special talents. Each fInd their true love along the way. I highly recommend the whole series.
Another excellent romance!
Was a little slow at the beginning, but sped up as the story went on.
This is a very good book keeps you entertained with all the different characters and story,
I originally read the prequel which is repeated in this edition. I recommend reading the first 16 chapters, then reading “Wild Irish Heart,” Keelin’s story, and concluding with the remainder of this book starting at chapter 17 when Margaret and Sean are reunited at their daughter’s wedding. While many of the women of Grace’s Cove who have been gifted with special powers struggle to adjust to their powers, Margaret has always wanted to be rid of them and be “normal.” This story was refreshing in that Margaret wasn’t like the others. She had to come to an understanding of herself and an acceptance of these gifts in others but there is a surprising twist at the end that I did not expect. Wonderful series with characters you love to revisit.
For some folks, forever takes a long time to realize, and that may make it all the sweeter.
I really enjoyed reading this and the rest of the series. The books are well written and great escapist reading.
I love this series. Great character and location description.
