In order to find love, you must set your heart free. All her life, Faith has lacked a true, deep connection to someone. Her parents are long buried, her friends are too busy, and all she has is her job in corporate law to make her feel grounded. Each day is like the last with no telling if there will ever be something more for her. When a distant aunt passes away and leaves Faith her land, Faith … land, Faith has to put her empty life on hold and travel across the country to settle the estate.
A West Coast girl used to a fast paced lifestyle, Faith is ready to be entirely unimpressed by what she finds on the Georgia coast. That is, until she meets Alex.
Strong, tall, and decidedly anti-social, Alex is everything that Faith has been dreaming of her whole life. The fact that he scowls as he shows her the wonders of her new land doesn’t bother her… not like seeing him without his shirt does, anyway.

The description of the storyline doesn’t quite do the justice to this story. A smart westcost city lawyer comes into inheritance and meets a jaded man in south seemed marginally interesting to me initially, but despite my misgivings it totally pulled me in. I read the whole book in one sitting and it is definitely not a short novel but of decent length. The characters are well developed and storyline, although seemingly crazy, falls into place. There is romance and heat and also very much anticipated happy ending.
Wow what a another amazing book by Vivian Wood. This book is amazing and had me from the beginning all the way to the end. The romance in the book will have you feeling the emotional edge that comes with the story and will have you falling in love with the book and the writing,.
Faith inherits an estate on a small island off Georgia from her aunt who passed away. Faith meets Alex while staying at the Inn run by his family. Alex has trust issues because of everything he went through with his cheating ex-wife and doesn’t want to let another woman hurt him that way again. These two have great chemistry but it takes him a while to let Faith in. Their story is full of drama, suspense, mystery and a great romance. This well written, entertaining read is a definite one-click.
Faith inherits property from an aunt in Georgia. She meets Alex and sparks fly between them. Alex tries to fight his attraction to Faith but eventually gives in to it. Secrets, lies, steamy sex, and betrayal make this an interesting story. I enjoyed this book.
I received an arc and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Enjoyed this book with the characters and story line.
Ebook from Netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.
I loved Wild Hearts. I hope Vivian Wood decides to write more books in this series. The story is well written and touched upon some very big issues in the world today. I really enjoyed getting to know each of the characters and came to care for them all. I especially loved Alex’s Mama. She’s a wonderful lady… strong, sweet, witty and all knowing (lol). I really loved Alex and Faith too. They make a great team and couple.
Faith is strong, kindhearted, independent and stubborn. She’s use to being on her own and working hard for what she wants. That’s how she became one of the top cooperate law attorney’s in San Francisco but is it really what she wants in life.
Faith’s recently deceased Aunt Lydia leaves Faith a house with some property in her will. She takes some time off and travels to the Island of Saint Rose to check out the property. What started out as a simple trip quickly becomes more complicated. The moment Faith sees the house she’s hit with images and partial memories that where buried long ago and forgotten. Adding to the mystery are threats made against her life that seemingly come out of nowhere. Faith becomes determined to find out who’s after her, why and what exactly it is that she can’t remember from her past.
Alex is a widow. After his wife passed four years ago he built a wall up around his heart and hasn’t let anyone in. When Faith shows up at his Mama’s Inn and Alex is volunteered by his Mama to be her guide he’s not too happy about it but the more he spends time with her he finds that she is not at all what he expected. When the threats on her life start happening he becomes very protective and finds himself willing to do everything he can to keep her safe.
I read the prequel, “Broken Dreams,” before reading “Wild Hearts,” so I was pretty surprised when the storylines in “Broken Dreams” were completely different than the ones laid out in “Wild Hearts.” Very odd.
As for “Wild Hearts” itself, it was…okay. The writing was well done for the most part, and the main characters had some good depth to their personalities. However, the constant “ma’am” and “southern manners” thing grated my nerves after a while, and the sudden changes in character behavior were a bit rocky.
*Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC, provided by the author and/or the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
This was an intriguing book. I have to admit I wasn’t so sure about Faith and Alex at first. I did read the prequel to this book and thought there story would definitely interesting. I kept reading because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. But there was so much going on at once I didn’t know where it was all going to end. Alex was a very broody man. Yeah, he had the right to be as he had been jilted in the past. But that didn’t give him the right to treat Faith the way he initially did. Faith was a decent heroine but she also irritated me. I didn’t like how she told Alex that she didn’t move on that fast but she also had no issue flirting back with Caleb right in front of him. It also irritated me when she said she didn’t know how to get Caleb to NOT flirt with her. She acted like a modern day woman at the beginning but that just seemed to fall away the further into the book we got. It was a good read but a great author. I admit I would love to know more about what happened with the island, the house, and everything else at the end of the story.
Vivian another great story, Alex and Faith story was sweet love story, i could’t put it down till the end. There Alex and Faith chemistry was off the charts. A must read. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy
This was a free book for an honest review. This is the 2d book for Alex and Faith. Alex went home to the family plantation to try a heal from his betrayal and Faith found out she inherited an island in Georgia. The two meet but its a rocky start and he doesn’t trust women anymore. For me this was another slow read and to keep my attention. There is a lot of unsavory things going on but u will have to read it to find out what that is.
