Finally, Patricia and her brother Harold Bonner get their story told and what a story it is! This book is the prequel to the rest of the Wild Lake Wolves series and all of the blocks click into place after reading it.
I am a huge fan of this series and I was so excited that Kimber had finally written Patricia’s story thus giving us the history of how Wild Lake became the pack lands for this pack of wolves and the basis for the entire series.
If you haven’t read the rest of the Wild Lakes Wolves series now you can start right here with this book and read the series straight through without the questions about Pat and Harold and how they, as humans, came to be in the middle of a piece of land that belongs to a pack of wolves. I was so excited to read this story and learn more about Pat and Harold.
Now Luke, WOW!! The hot, sexy, 8-pack abs, determined, devoted and tough-as-nails alpha of the pack and a Dad to twin cubs (the aww factor). No, there is no cheating or anything like that. The twins Mom was killed by Abel, the twisted, obsessive and controlling alpha of an opposing pack. Yes, he now has Pat in his sights and goes after her.
This is a touching, exciting, suspenseful, sexy, engaging, couldn’t-put-it-down story that had me up waaaay past my bedtime so that I could finish it. You will not be sorry if you purchase this one and all of the series!
Predictable
Too young genre- better for young readers
Too sexually graphic. Not my thing.
Loved it
Good book for young women.
Loved it.
I Loved reading this book and would read it again
Patricia had to take care of her brother, father and grandfather and had no time to herself. Then she meets sexy alpha like but has no idea that he is a shifter until she sees his two children shift. Like all stories with the good comes the bad. Luke’s pack is small a nd his little daughter is sought after by able, another alpha. Female shifters are rare and considered a treasure. As a pack war starts, Patricia and Harold get deeply involved. Good story…Give it a try.
Thank you for your review.
Loved reading this book I’m getting the next in this series and looking for other books from this author
Wasn’t too thrilled with the plot.
I liked it. Didn’t notice if there were any misspelled words or incorrect punctuation. I was taken to the scenes in the book, so didn’t pay attention, and could imagine everything from the authors descriptions. Kept me interested enough to keep reading and block out everyday life.
I couldn’t put it down. A real page turner, just to see what happens next!!!
Great story. Unpredictable story line.
DNF at just a few pages into the book. The h behaved very unnaturally for that time period.
A little hard to get in to, but okay.
Easy to read love Wolfie
I received this story, this is my voluntary review.
Wild Hearts is a quick read. It offers drama, action, and romance. Patricia had to grow up fast with the death of mother; she now takes responsibility for her younger brother, father, and Grandfather. Luke is an alpha seeking sanctuary to protect his pack, especially his daughter. When their paths crossed, sparks fly and their attraction is undeniable. I enjoyed the dynamic between them, as well as their ups and downs that kept things interesting. I also appreciated their familial relationships interactions, which were endearing and amusing. Overall, entertaining read.
Let me start by saying thank you Kimber for giving us Pat Bonner’s story. She had been such an integral part of the Wild Lake Wolves series that her story was so important. There are still some questions of love answered but I’m hoping to get those in Lucia’s book. After reading Wild Hearts I want to go back and reread the rest of the series to see if I understand things in a different light now. This is a must read for followers of the series. Seeing Patricia and Harold as teenagers helps give insight to their adult relationship and why they are so close and understand each other so completely. I can’t wait to read Lucia’s book…I’m hoping it explains more about what happened to Pat and Luke. Wild Hearts fits perfectly into the Wild Lake Wolves series. I received an ARC from the author. This is my voluntary honest review.
I love shifters and thoroughly enjoyed this story with great characters, romance and intrigue. They made a great couple and finally got their HEA. I can’t wait to read more books from this author. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy and highly recommend it to lovers of this genre.
