A hot new standalone in the series that’s been called “A total, utter must read.” – Book Fanatic
He’s growly. Grumpy. Stubborn.
And now, my new roommate.
Walking away from my disastrous last relationship was an easy decision, but moving in with a friend-of-a-friend hockey star who’s rarely home? Not quite as simple, because Grant makes me feel all kinds of things I’m not prepared for.
… not prepared for.
Protected. Desired. Unsteady.

She’s beautiful. Smart. Tempting.
And a little fragile.
I’ve never been anyone’s knight in shining armor, but when Ana needed a place to stay, it was easy to offer her a room with me.
Not so simple, though, is keeping my hands—or my mouth—to myself. And the night she crawls into my bed and shares her body with me? Heaven.
But she’s not looking for a relationship, and to my surprise, I find myself pissed off by that idea.
They say my heart is broken, that I’ll never settle down. I used to think that was true. Now, though? Hell, your guess is as good as mine.
First, she took my bed.
Then she took my heart.
Then she took my everything.
Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all new standalone novel. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series is for you!
Each book can be read as a complete standalone.

This is book six in the Hot Jocks series. Each book contains it’s own story and characters. Meet Grant and Ana. Grant is a star hockey player, he is moody but not home much so all should be good when lets Ana move in. Ana is starting over and finds herself attracted to her new roommate, this is not what she had in mind when starting over. A great, steamy story of how not so simple characters start as roommates but find themselves moving through the different phases and changes in their relationship. Can these two take the plunge and commit to on another? The character looking for more is not who you would think. Enjoy!

This is book 6 in the Hot Jocks series and it features Grant and Ana. Grant is captain of his pro hockey team. It’s his job to keep his teammates in line. One of his players gets WAY out of line and Grant offers the girlfriend of this player his assistance. Their story takes off from there. There is so much drama! Grant is not a drama kind a guy. A pregnancy happens without knowing who the father is, Grant or her ex. The crazy thing is that we NEVER find out! Ana is kind of a “have your cake and eat it too” kind of girl. She wanted the sex but not the relationship. Grant was ready for the relationship.
I loved Grant but Ana, not so much. She just seemed wrong for him. I failed to feel their connection. I love this author’s stories but this one didn’t work for me.
loved it
Grant is single and hasn’t been in a relationship for years and Ana is getting out of a bad relationship and needs a place to live. The way the author brought Grant and Ana together and how their relationship grew was perfect. Their love story pulled at my heartstrings and left me loving Grant and his protectiveness over Ana. This is a beautiful, well written love story with well developed, likable characters and a great ending. This is the second book I’ve read in the Hot Jocks series and I look forward to reading more and catching up with the rest of the team.
Wild for You is a great addition to the Hot Jocks series! Although part of a series, it can be read as a complete standalone.
Okay…I’m not going to lie, I was getting some weird love triangle-ish vibes when I started this book. But just a bit, and in a totally different way than what was expected. (Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good love triangle.) So I was relieved and surprised at the direction the author took with both Grant and Ana. But at the same time, I was extremely frustrated with their ‘walking on eggs shells’ emotional dynamic and their friendship that wasn’t really a friendship, and not really a romantic relationship either. The sexual and emotional tension was THICK throughout the entire storyline.
I LOVED Grant….like, looooooved him! For a gruff, stoic, and intimidating guy, I swooned hard for his sweet, compassionate, and tender side that we hadn’t seen until now. My heart melted and broke for him throughout the story. I just wanted him to have his HEA, whether if it was with Ana or not. And although I was more irritated than not with Ana, I totally understood each decision she made. But it didn’t stop me from wanting to shake her…repeatedly.
Wild for You presents a different narrative than the previous books in the series. This story features sensitive issues that are somewhat difficult to read. But the author incorporates these topics into the story flawlessly, giving an authentic and sincere quality to the plot and very real emotions from the characters. An emotional and slow-burn romance, Wild for You is a definite must read!
4 Stars!
Loved this book, love this series.
The more books I read by Kendall the more I wish I wasn’t late to the party on her!!! Wild for you is a rollercoaster of emotions and I love every bit of it!!! Grant is an absolute doll!! I love all 6 foot plus if this protective dreamboat. Who steps in and takes care of Ana when she needs some where to stay. Ana has finally had it with how her boyfriend Jason is treating her and ends up calling an unlikely hero. She never thought the silent captain of her boyfriend’s hockey team would be the one to help her stand on her own and get out of a bad situation. But in the process of wanting to know she can stand on her own and not be in a relationship she ends up falling for the sweet protective captain and I can’t blame her because I did too. And I’m wild about this book and I highly recommend it!! Like I’m ready to reread it again!!! -By Tina
I didn’t see it coming, but Grant Henry has officially become my favorite among all the male main characters in Kendall Ryan’s Hot Jocks series. Dare I say that he’s my favorite among ALL of the male main characters in ANY of the books I’ve ever read by this author?! After the hint in the previous book as to who Grant would be paired with, I was super curious as to see how that would all play out, especially considering the fact that Ana (whose last name I don’t recall coming across in the book, but if you happen to know what it is, please feel free to leave me a comment to share the information!) had a boyfriend who just happened to be Grant’s teammate. For the record, though, there is absolutely NO cheating that takes place in this book; if that’s a hard limit for you, then I can assure you that you have nothing to worry about. There was a lot about the story that took me by surprise but all in the best way possible. Kendall Ryan has set the bar high for the final book in this series, and Grant and Ana’s story is going to be difficult to surpass. Five stars!
3.5 stars
Grant is the stoic, loner on the team.Underneath his gruff exterior you will find a heart of gold. A natural leader who takes care or people. When he first sees Ana she is living with his teammate Jason, an abusive jerk who is on a downward spiral. When Grant comes to Ana’s rescue after a particularly bad scene, he learns a little about himself. He wants what everyone around him has; love and family. Ana is not keen to jump into another relationship so soon after Jason. She tries to push Grant away. Things get complicated when Ana has a surprise pregnancy. There is a question of paternity. Grant’s reaction makes him a keeper.
Ana and Grant have a good story and I thought it was a good part of this series. I liked that Grant was there for Ana when bad things happen to her.

Love me some Grant!! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
The team captain Grant can see grumpy because his is always looking out for his team. Ana is one of Grant’s teammates girl but when things go south with the teammate Grant becomes protector. Ana finds that a man can be kind and caring. Ana is staying with Grant and what can happen???? Love the Hot Jock Series!!!!
A steamy, satisfying continuation of the Hot Jocks series, Wild for You features Grant and Ana. I really liked Grant as a character, and had a more difficult time with Ana, though I can appreciate the trauma that she’s had to deal with. They have excellent chemistry, though, and I think the ending makes up for some of the frustrations I had with the middle of the novel.
Overall I liked this book. Grant is the captain of the team. One night he witnesses a player on his team being nasty to their girlfriend. He then tries to help her. She eventually ends up living with him and they fall in love. The only reason this didn’t get a higher rating is because in my personal opinion I felt the ending with the other guy was a little too convenient.
He rescued her when she needed someone the most, Grant was her Knight in Shining Armor… or Knight in Brooding Armor. Ana’s relationship with her boyfriend, was reaching a point where they were no longer happy with one another, but neither took the step to end it. That is until things took a dangerous turn, then Ana knew there was no way she could stay any longer. Grant offered her a place to stay and shoulder to lean on, he was the perfect friend. She tried her best to not let her heart get carried away, but with his constant kindness, and knee-weakening good looks it was so easy to let herself fall for him. But she was certain she was the only one falling… or was she?
Between the pages of Wild for You readers will meet a man that prefers solitude over wild nights on the town… give him a quiet night at home any day. He hasn’t dated in a long time, and the idea of opening his heart to someone scares him, that is until he meets Ana. Upon first meeting she captured his undivided attention, but she was with someone else, so it going beyond conversation was out of the question. That is until her life imploded and she needed a friend in the worst way, he stepped up and gave her everything she needed, his heart included. Watching these two come together was so good for my heart, Grant was your typical anti-love, broody hero, and Ana was his saving grace, she gave him something no one else ever had… unconditional love. These two were perfect for one another, I loved every single second I spent with them. I have to say this pairing are my new favorites of the series, their story spoke to me on so many levels, and kept me thoroughly entertained from beginning to end… it was pure literary gold!! Highly recommend this one, it’s riddled with everything necessary to leave your heart happy and toes permanently curled!!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
The Hot Jock series continues and the team captain is finally getting his story. Grant has been the loner of the group and for the most part been fine with that. He has always been there to help others in time of need and when Ana finds herself in need he is there. Ana has been living with one of Grant’s fellow teammates Kress. When Grant takes Ana home after a party one night because her and her boyfriend get in to it he programs his number in her phone and tells her if she ever needs him to call. Ana doesn’t have many friends since she moved to town with her boyfriend so when he roughs her up she calls Grant. Grant and Ana find themselves building a friendship which leads to a little more. Grant develops feelings for her but Ana isn’t ready to be in a relationship although she likes how kind Grant is to her. Ana is wanting to try to stand on her own and be independent. Grant finally realizes he wants what all his other teammates have and that is a family and someone to come home to.
I loved Grant!! He was tough on the outside, but soft on the inside and what girl wouldn’t want a guy like him. The way he took care of and protected Ana was absolutely beautiful.
Kendall Ryan is one of my favorite authors and I was honored to receive an ARC copy of this book, but I also purchase a copy for myself along with the audible version

The sweetest guy yet! With book six in her highly anticipated Hot Jocks series, Kendall Ryan brings us Grant’s story in WILD FOR YOU and it is unexpectedly delicious! I absolutely adored Grant and Ana’s relationship, but there is a glaring lack of development in one major aspect of this story line that glosses over a major issue, so I couldn’t in good conscious rate it higher. Had the emotional depth that was needed for the circumstance been present, I would have rated it a five.
Grant is laid back and calm compared to the younger guys on the team and quick to lend a hand when it’s obviously needed. He snagged my heart quickly and I was pulling for him throughout the story line.
Ana is complex. She’s quiet and kind, but she has a lot of baggage she hasn’t yet addressed before accidentally falling for Grant. Her situation lacks the development that would have made this book a super star.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a little lighthearted turmoil and angst on the way towards that happily ever after. The hockey was a bit light in the book, but the drama carried the momentum forward enough to forgive that. Great series overall.
Grant & Ana’s story…
Ana was previously dating Jason, one of Grant’s teammates.
Jason wasn’t a nice guy.
Grant becomes an unexpected white knight.
Friendships develop.
I simply loved this story.
Well written.
Great plot.
Love the flipping characters !!
Highly recommend.
Kendall Ryan
Anna and Grant were just heaven made for each other. One reason I love Kendall Ryan is because she gives us what we need! The beginning has us on shaky territory. Ana has a tough start. Grant thinks being nice and an ear to lend is the end. Little did we know what would happen through out this story. I laughed, smiled, and really loved this book. I highly recommend Wild for You to all my book lover friends! There are a couple of steamy moments you don’t want to miss!
Can I give this book 6 stars?!?!?
There is just something about Grant that I haven’t cared for in the previous books in this series. Maybe it’s because he always seemed so cold and hard, I don’t know. Kendall has made me fall in love with this pitbull. Once you get past his growl and peel back the layers, Grant has a huge heart and loves deeply and ferociously.
Ana has been thru hell and back with her ex-boyfriend and Grant’s former teammate. Grant wants to protect her and keep her safe. Ana is determined to stand on her two feet.
One night, Ana’s needs and Grant’s desire for her light a spark. Grant truly believes this is the beginning for them…..but Ana bursts his bubble pretty quickly the next morning….she’s not ready for a relationship and doesn’t want to jump into one. Fast forward a few weeks, and Ana gets the surprise of a lifetime, I won’t reveal because I don’t want to give away the story. Grant falls harder and deeper in love. Ana continues to put walls up because she has convinced herself that she’s not ready, that she has to be strong and independent. Will Grant’s love get thru to Ana or will her stubborn streak ruin them before they ever get to truly start?
Wild for You is the sixth book in the Hot Jocks series and although the story deals with sensitive topics, it still manages to capture a truly heartwarming love story.
In this story we get to meet Grant Henry, captain of the Seattle Ice Hawks, a pro ice hockey team. As the captain of the team, he takes his job very seriously and it doesn’t hurt that he is a natural caretaker. Being the oldest in the team, everyone respects him yet he is a bit of a loner. Everyone is at the start-of-the-season banquet when he sees Ana, the woman he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about since he met her. What makes things complicated is that she is the girlfriend of his teammates. It would take an unfortunate event to bring them together. It’s in his gut that he needs to take care of her, but when they cross the line of no return. Grant is going to need to figure out a way to make her see that he might just be her forever.
When Ana moved to Seattle with Jason, she thought it was going to be a new beginning for them. But things didn’t turn out the way she thought they would and she is now walking away from her disastrous relationship. With no one to turn to she is relived when Grant comes to her rescue and she is now his new roommate. But the more time they spend together and get to know one another, the more she start to develop feelings for him. When things quickly change between them, she finds herself wanting to be more independent and not relay on Grant so much. So she will have to decide if pursuing a relationship is worth it or not.
I really enjoyed reading Wild for You, the story felt a lot more serious than the rest of the series, but it was executed really well. Grant is lovable and kind. He truly cares about Ana a lot and will do anything to protect her. On the other hand, Ana is strong and smart. She was a bit of a frustrating character, but it all ends up working out at the end. It’s clear that they both have issue to resolve and they have to figure out if they can actually have a future together. All in all, this was a great story that would highly recommend checking out as well as any others by the author. They will not disappoint! 🙂
