A hot new standalone in the series that’s been called “A total, utter must read.” – Book Fanatic
He’s growly. Grumpy. Stubborn.
And now, my new roommate.
Walking away from my disastrous last relationship was an easy decision, but moving in with a friend-of-a-friend hockey star who’s rarely home? Not quite as simple, because Grant makes me feel all kinds of things I’m not prepared for.
… not prepared for.
Protected. Desired. Unsteady.

She’s beautiful. Smart. Tempting.
And a little fragile.
I’ve never been anyone’s knight in shining armor, but when Ana needed a place to stay, it was easy to offer her a room with me.
Not so simple, though, is keeping my hands—or my mouth—to myself. And the night she crawls into my bed and shares her body with me? Heaven.
But she’s not looking for a relationship, and to my surprise, I find myself pissed off by that idea.
They say my heart is broken, that I’ll never settle down. I used to think that was true. Now, though? Hell, your guess is as good as mine.
First, she took my bed.
Then she took my heart.
Then she took my everything.
Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all new standalone novel. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series is for you!
Each book can be read as a complete standalone.

I listened to this one and OMG Grant & Anna’s story is just perfect and Joe and Virginia slayed the narration as they always do! I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Grant is just an amazing man who has the biggest heart! And Anna, she’s a sweetie who has just come out of an abusive relationship and really needs the friendship and protection that Grant so willingly gives her. Their road may be a little uncomfortable and difficult but thankfully it all works out in the end and comes to a beautiful conclusion. I’m looking forward to the last book in this series as much as I don’t really want it to end!
I can’t get enough of the Seattle Ice Hawks!
I’m always drawn to the strong, silent, broody type and Grant definitely fits the bill. He’s kind of a loner and doesn’t interact much with many people, but get him to let down his guard a bit and you see just how special he is. And I love that he doesn’t think he’s a knight in shining armor, because I beg to differ! Underneath all that serious exterior is an amazing man with so much love to give and nowhere to give it.
Ana is a fighter. She’s been through so much, and just when she thinks her life’s on the right track, she experiences upheaval again. But she’s strong, resilient, and tough. I love her personality and her drive to make the best of the situation she’s in. She’s sweet, kind, and a ray of light in Grant’s otherwise dark world.
You’re going to fall in love with these two the minute you start reading their story. They compliment each other. Grant brings out the strength in Ana she didn’t know she had. And Ana brings out a side of Grant that he’s long given up a hope on. Together, they just work and it’s beautiful to watch them both realize it. This book gave me ALL the feels and I think you’ll fall in love with it as much as I did.
Kendall Ryan has done it again! Another great read that is lighthearted, fun, sweet and sexy. I have so enjoyed the Hot Jocks series. From the moment you open the book you are hooked until the end. The characters have great chemistry together and are so swoon worthy. You can’t go wrong reading Wild for You or any of the Hot Jocks stories. I have loved them all!
I adored this 4.5 stars story! I was pleasantly surprised by the character of hockey captain Grant Henry and his connection with Ana Walsh. This was not just another romance story it was filled with unexpected challenges they had to face.
The feels on Grant’s story with Ana were present throughout the read. It dealt with issues that can be difficult to go through and can be perceived in different ways. Grant’s action throughout their story was a surprise hero for Ana and where the hockey captain was her saving grace. Although their unforseen chemistry begins to grow into something; there is hesitation for being any more.
The narrators Joe Arden and Virginia Rose was a sweet performance for Grant and Ana. The ability to bring out the feels of these two characters was spot on and one that was a page turner listen itching for more. This book/audiobook was more than what I had expected and I enjoyed every moment.
Who is the father!!!
Wild for You is the sixth book in the Hot Jocks series and is the story of Grant and Ana. I have read and own most of the previous books so was looking forward to diving into this one. Well my reading experience did not quite go as I was expecting. I put this book down and picked it up several time on my way to the end. Well I liked some parts of it the story-line did not grab me like the others had. So for me I would say I liked it but it was a bit disappointing. However, I know that other readers will love it so if you are a fan of Kendall Ryan then pick Wild for You up and make up your own mind. But if you have not read much Kendall Ryan then pick up the first book in the series up first and work you way up to this one.
An enjoyable, captivating, fast pace, and engaging read! It is well written, emotionally deep, funny, heartbreaking, and entertaining with ups and downs, drama, intense passion, steam, and more. The characters are strong and you will love and root for them; their chemistry is off the charts! Definitely recommended!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The Hot Jocks continue to give us fun and amazing stories! Grant seriously tickled me! I often referred to him with a Seven Dwarfs endearment, Grumpy, of course. He was incredibly grumpy. He’s a loner, which is interesting since he’s the captain for the Seattle Ice Hawks. He has a tunnel vision for what he wants. I can totally appreciate that. I think it’s why Ana completely knocks him for a loop. He wasn’t prepared for the feelings she brought out in this closed off heart.
Joe Arden and Virginia Rose were JUST what these characters needed for voices. I’m honestly not sure two better narrators could have been chosen. Arden really shows Grants gruff, aloft attitude. His execution was magical! Virginia channeled the vulnerability flawlessly. It has to be hard to play off the vulnerability while still showing that you’re strong… that is just what Rose did… perfect execution!
Wild for You is a sweet, slow burn, inter-connected standalone. I was enthralled from the beginning and enjoyed every minute of it. It was sweet, funny at times, and emotional. Perhaps my favourite book in the Hot Jocks series so far.
This was such a sweet story. After the last book, I had a feeling about the direction this book would take as I’m sure most readers/ listeners did. I was curious to see how it would play out and be handled. And I have to say that the sensitive subject was handled with care.
There is a key message in this story that I loved, I don’t want to go into detail due to spoilers but anyone that knows my personally will probably understand the message I mean.
The only issue I really had was that there looked like a subplot was going to happen but nothing ever did. It felt to me that it was there to get the reader wondering without ever giving it life. Or an explanation.
Can we just take a moment to bask in Grant’s amazingness? I don’t even care if that’s a word or not. He is everything you’d expect from a good guy. He’s alpha but not over the top, he takes Ana’s needs into consideration, he backs off when he needs to, but, he also doesn’t sacrifice his own needs. He’s supportive and sweet…in his own grumpy way. He didn’t rush anything. He handles Ana with care without using kid gloves. And his interaction with the dog are just swoon inducing. He was everything I didn’t know I needed in my book life at the moment.
Joe Arden was fabulous as Grant, he really embodied the character. You believed what he was selling, so to speak. He delivered the dialogue in such a way that you couldn’t help but sigh at times. The vulnerability mixed with the alpha attitude was so uniquely Joe, that you couldn’t imagine anyone else performing the part.
Virginia Rose was wonderful as Ana, she performed a difficult subject with such sensitivity that you could just get lost in the feelings of the character. It was raw and beautiful. And how the performance changed as the character grew and progressed was just beautiful.
The hot jocks series continues and this time we get Grant’s amazing story. Grant is the captain of the hockey team. He is strong, independent and is very supportive to his team and friends. Ana is having a rough time and Grant becomes her knight in shining armor. Ana is just getting out of a serious relationship that ended abruptly and this book explores her relationship with Grant as friends and then possibly more. They have hot chemistry and it was a super quick, fun read. I have really enjoyed getting to know the characters in Kendall’s hockey world. I am ready for the next book in this series. Enjoy!!!
This sixth book in the Hot Jocks series is a sweet, emotional, and steamy romance! Ana has moved away from home with her boyfriend when he starts to play hockey in Seattle. From the outside their relationship looks perfect, until it all goes terribly wrong. Grant, the surly team captain steps in and rescues Ana from her abusive boyfriend. He gives her a safe place to stay, and his compassionate, protective friendship. She is far from her supportive family and is appreciative of the time Grant gives her to heal, recover, and become a strong independent woman. I loved their slow burn romance and how sweet, attentive and caring the grumpy Grant turned out to be. My heart broke for Ana and all she went thru, and I respected how resilient, and strong she was. Joe Arden, and Virginia Rose are so perfect as Grant and Ana. Their expressive voices and ability to easily move between fun and flirty to impassioned and poignant is incredible. I love listening to them both and they definitely make this heartfelt and sizzling romance even more captivating.
Ana’s boyfriend is a hockey player but their relationship isn’t what it once was. He has gotten abusive with her so she knows that she has to make some changes and soon. Grant knows that there is something going on between Ana and his team mate so he offers her help. When she calls for help he jumps to help never thinking of doing anything but that. However when he lets her stay with him after she ends things with her boyfriend. Things heat up between them and soon they are more than friends. Ana doesn’t want to be beholden to Grant but she wants something with him. Will Ana and Grant find a way to work their way to each other? What will happen with her ex?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I really enjoyed this friends/roommate to lovers storyline. Hot chemistry Protective alpha A twist that’ll keep you hooked . Fantastic narration by Joe Arden and Virginia Rose! Can’t wait to listen to the last in this series!!
disappointing book in the series.
As much as I’m living for this series, Wild for you has been my favorite to date. It really hit me hard and made me feel so much for Ana. She’s been through so much and I won’t spoil anything for you, you just have to read for yourself. There’s been little about Ana previously but we finally get so much more and we finally get her POV.
Grant…the mystery man that’s quiet and hard. We finally, FINALLY learn all about Grant. We see him thaw, he’s no longer an Ice King with a certain little lady around.
OH MY GOD! I want to squeal and yell how amazing this story is. I want to rave about all the parts but I CAN’T without spilling the beans. I am absolutely smitten with Grant! Any woman would be a fool to pass him up. He’s so kind, gentle, loving and the absolute PERFECT MAN with the biggest heart ever! Just trust me when I say this is an absolute must read! 5 incredibly addicting and heartbreaking stars!!!!!
I wanted Grant’s story since we first met him! I just knew that he would have SUCH a story! He’s so big, growly and just so strong and silent. And that intrigued me from the beginning!
Grant and Ana’s story is so perfect and might be my favorite of the Hot Jocks series so far! Grant is totally swoon-worthy and just totally perfect. For being such a big, sullen guy, he was so sweet, and gallant and caring with Ana. He’s totally a teddy bear packed in the hockey captain package and I’m here for all of it!
Ana is trapped in a violent relationship and Grant swoops in and saves her from the situation once Ana calls him. And Ana becomes his roommate to both of their surprises.
Yep, I think Grant might be my favorite of the Hot Jocks!
Oh my, Grant! What a guy! Who wouldn’t want a Grant in their life!?!
Grant has liked Ana from afar. The girlfriend of a teammate is way off limits for the Captain, until that teammate does something to hurt Ana. Grant to the rescue. What starts off as someone helping another human being turns into more as time goes on. I have liked Grant throughout the other books because even though he seems grumpy, he is the responsible, reliable team Captain.
Ana has had a rough couple of years. Moving to a new city with her boyfriend for his job, leaving her Dad behind, trying to make friends. It hasn’t been easy on her but what has been the worst is how downhill her relationship with Jason went. When she gets to her breaking point she turns to one person she feels she can rely on, Grant.
I hated what Ana had to go through and Grant’s history is heartbreaking but these two were made for each other and watching them grow and learn together was sweet.
Jordie’s book is next and I am so curious about him and who is going to capture his heart.
I recieved this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review.
Here we have another great episode of the Hot Jocks series. Here we see how caring & protective Grant the team’s captain really is, when he’s there to help Ana whose the girlfriend of 1 of his team mate Jason, though he doesn’t really like our respect him, but it’s after hearing the way he spoke & acted to his girlfriend Ana..
We see how their lives turnaround in a blink of an eye when Ana asks for his help & things don’t even stop there when a cctv post got out into the media, which makes Grant even more protective against Ana. & don’t forget that she’s really a stranger to him & vice versa.
They become closer in their short time of living together, even after she moves out he’s still there for her.
This is such a beautiful hea of the joining of 2
Grant is the team captain and he takes his responsibilities series and he thrives in being the captain and taking care of his team. Too bad one of his teammates is rude and abusive with his girlfriend Ana. Grant takes Ana home one night after Jason abandons her in a drunken fit. He gives her his number and asks her to call if she ever needs any help thinking that she never would but a small part hoping she would. And she did. Grant arrived at Ana’s apartment to find her cowering in the corner with her feet cut up from stepping on broken glass from a cup that Jason threw at her head (he missed). Grant immediately decides that she can’t stay. They pack a bag and she moves in with Grant. The moody, broody silent man brings Ana home and he finds that he likes having her there in his space but life throws them another curve ball that may derail his plans to keep Ana forever.
I absolutely loved Grant. He was amazing with how much he stepped up, took care of Ana, protected her, fought for her. He was just perfect. Ana – I had issues with. I felt like she was playing games with Grant’s heart and I didn’t like it. I understood where she was coming from and actually agreed with her but then she would string Grant along it seemed like. I didn’t like it. That being said I still enjoyed their story and journey.
Grant is absolutely my favorite Hot Jock of all now. He is broody, quiet, and watchful. Care taker by nature, but on the inside he is the perfect man! He is everything you could ever want. Ana is reclaiming herself and healing from trauma with a little bit of help, but still needs to learn how to be on her so she can give everything she has to give. It was so fun to watch her grow and learn how to be who she always was but needed to get there. It’s such a heartfelt, touching story that I didn’t want to put it down and I didn’t until the very end because I just had to know what was going to happen! Wild for You has everything you know and love about a Kendall Ryan book. You will not be disappointed!
FIVE SLOW BURN STARS for Ana and Grant !!!
One more Ryan’s book that I absolutely love!
“Wild for You” is an emotional sports romance book with friends to lovers and slow-burn trope.
Ana and Grant’s relationship is everything!
It all started slow and sweet and from friends they became lovers.
If you love previous books from the “Hot Jocks” series, then you’ll absolutely love this book!!!
Highly recommended!!!
P.S. I can’t believe that “Taking His Shot” is the last book from the “Hot Jocks” series?! I’ll truly miss this world!
