I really liked this book even though his daughter was a brat.
Wild for You is the fourth book in Cheyenne McCray’s Riding Tall 2 series, and this one finds widower Jack McBride suddenly attracted to his little sister’s long time friend, Dara. Dara and Jack have known each other for 15 years, but Jack was married with two children, so Dara was never on his radar, other than being a troublesome teenager who encouraged the wildness in his sister Bailey.
Like a sudden bolt of lightning, Jack has unexpectedly realised that this charming, vibrant and caring young woman, could possibly be the warmth to fill void in his life, left by the death of his wife, 5 years earlier. But teenagers are the supreme definition of emotional turmoil, and Jack’s 16 year-old daughter isn’t ready for Jack to move forward and find new love with anyone, but especially not her employer.
Wild for You describes the difficulties of youthful resistance perfectly, but also shows the wonder of a parent’s love and understanding, while standing firm about life and its uncontrollable curve balls. Dara is exceedingly sweet, and her calling in life is a testament of her exceptional nature; and while I sometimes found her dialogue too syrupy, the overall character development was good and a realistic timeframe was formed before the physical aspect of their relationship transpired. Jack, well what can I say; he is like all the McBrides in his steadfast loyalty, protectiveness of those he loves, and one damn sexy cowboy to boot.
So, if you’re looking for a wonderful feel good story, with angst, laughs, real life moments and a sweet, (oh, it gets hotter) romance, then this is definitely a story for you. Ms McCray is undeniably one of my “Go to” authors, and have no reservations about recommending all her books. So grab one today and happy reading!
A widower spends years healing following the loss of his wife. He is busy raising his young daughter and dealing with life. Then he realizes he is ready for something more in his life. This story is the awakening of his soul to a love he craves and deserves.
Ended up buying several more of her books. I like the stories and the writing.

Jack and Dara’s story is a superior read.
Really nice story. Single dad ready to move on and finds interest in his sister’s best friend. Not only do they have to deal with a new relationship, they also have to deal with his children’s acceptance. I love these characters, they are such good people and very honorable and respectful. Nice read!
An enjoyable romance that deals with the issues of acceptance by a widower’s daughter.

Made me want to read more from this author
This was such a good story. I am a sucker for a romance where the heroine falls for her best friends brother. Plus, the hero is a single father. I mean how often do you get 2 of your favorite types of stories all rolled into one. Dara and Jack kept me wanting to read more.
Charming, fun story that will keep you entertained from the first page to the last. Wild for You is the fourth book in McCray’s Riding Tall 2 series and continues the McBride’s family journey to find love and happiness. From a dog named Demon to a cat named Satan, Jack and Dara are a perfect match. This story contains everything to hold your interest in a good read. It is full of joy, laughter, sorrow, angst, drama, friendship, familial ties, romance and love. The characters are great, easy to relate to, and the situations they were navigating, from the memories of Jack’s late wife, the needs and feelings of his teen children regarding him moving on, family dynamics, balancing work, new relationships and more, were well paced and made the story very enjoyable. Looking forward to the next in the series.
* I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The story is sweet. It’s sweet. But I just didn’t feel like they had chemistry. I just didn’t feel it. That made this story just so so.
Read the book……
I couldn’t finish it. The storyline was poor, dialogue and details tiring. I have read other books by this author and they were not this bad.
