Mari Carr adds romantic suspense to the Wilder Irish series with July Flames. Fergus’s patience and steadfastness is tested when he is assigned to protect Aubrey. She fights her attraction to Fergus from the onset. His Collins tenacity breaks down Aubrey’s outer shell until she reveals her true self including all her self-doubts, needs, and wants. To keep true to what we expect from the series, Pop Pop and the Collins Clan provide non-conditional love, support, and guidance to Aubrey and Fergus. Mari Carr creatively writes another page-turner with witty dialog, suspense, and steamy scenes that could be read as a stand-alone.
Enjoyed this rock star – bodyguard romance about Fergus and Aubrey. Sizzling chemistry and wonderful story premise. Hooked from page one!

Seriously!?! What genre can’t Mari Carr write??
July Flames is a stellar Romantic Suspense that held my attention the entire time. I started reading this around Midnight and it is now 4:48am and I am cursing Mari Carr for my lack of sleep, but in reality so happy I stayed awake to finish this in one sitting.
July Flames features Fergus Collins the son of Lily, Killian and Justin. I was so excited to see how the mysterious Fergus turned out since he spent the better part of the first seven books in the Wilder Irish Series overseas in the military. Well he is back and has started a protection/investigation agency. The first client Aubrey Summers is stunning and a pain in the butt.
The chemistry between these two doesn’t show right away but both of them need time after their lives have thrown curve balls at them and the fact that Fergus is supposed to be keeping Aubrey safe even though she tries to make his life miserable.
The element of suspense that Mari Carr adds to this book is AMAZING!! I wasn’t expecting the outcome and was floored.
I adored July Flames. We already know how amazing the Collins family is and how much they love each other but this book really shows how much. Plus Pop Pop always makes me smile and tear up at the same time.
While you can read these books without reading any of the previous books, I wouldn’t recommend it because you would be missing out on 14 other amazing stories.
WOW!!! This is an intense story with stalker danger and lot’s of great passion and steam. I love the “Wilder Irish” stories and this one is absolutely no exception to that rule. I loved this story! I was hooked and consumed from the very beginning of the story until the wonderful and touching ending. I absolutely love Aubrey and Fergus’ story! She is got a huge wall around her and with all the hurt she has suffered who can blame her. Fergus, all ways in control, uses the kill her with kindness approach and is patient to help him break down those walls. This story has love, passion, patience, humor, danger, suspense and lots of Irish charm. I am ready for the mighty Colm to fall to the “Collins curse”.
This book was completely AMAZEBALLS! I have loved the Collins’ for what seems like ever. I know that it really isn’t. But a girl can fantasize. I want this family to take me in. I want to be sucked up. I want them to have a son who becomes mine. Really, is it that much to ask?
This book, like the others doesn’t disappoint. It’s got so much love, so much family. Hot sex. Um, did I mention the serious reaction of heat that happens between the two main characters? Yeah. HOT!!!
I just wanted to climb into bed with Fergus. I really want him to be mine. Sigh. Until next time.
Another hot hero from Mari Carr. I love the Wilder Irish world!
Fergus and Aubrey have a turmoil of a relationship, until they realize their feelings are deep and true. He is there to protect her from her stalker. They have a strong pull to one another and the danger just makes it hotter. Great read!

The seventh book in the Wilder Irish series a well-written story that held my interest until the end. What a Mother! Aubrey Sommers is a pop star who hires Fergus Collins as her bodyguard she gets to meet his family and finally feels like she is part of a family. As a reader of several of the previous Wilder Irish books, I had been waiting for the chance to get to know Fergus better and I really enjoyed reading his story. I was a little worried when we first met Aubrey and her claws were out, but was pleased to get an explanation as to why she kept her walls up all the time. I loved having Fergus’ family jump in and out of the story, allowing Aubrey to see a different side of Fergus as well as the unique family dynamic he comes from. Finally, I love that Mari Carr has maintained starting the book with a prologue flashback with Pop Pop and the grandchild featured in the book and finishing the book with an epilogue featuring Pop Pop and his family photo wall.

July Flames is a steamy, sexy read that you will not want to put down!!
Received an advance copy through Booksprout.
I love this series! Fergus and Aubrey’s story takes you on a roller coaster ride, it takes them a while, but after a lot of back and forth, they manage to find their HEA.
This family is amazing and I love each and every story that Ms Carr has written about it. This story is no difference. The characters are unique and yet you feel the strength that she imparts on all of her individuals. A beautiful tale that is fun and unique in all its beauty.
Wow! I’m not sure if July Flames by Mari Carr could get any hotter! The chemistry between Fergus Collins and Aubrey Summers sizzled off the charts between these two complete opposites. I liked how Fergus was able to see the real Aubrey beneath the shield she had in place and showed her love, kindness and passion. I loved seeing the rest of the Collins family throughout this book and my favorite moments are always when Pop Pop shows up in scenes. He always puts a smile on my face or has me in tears as he remembers his beloved Sunday. This author has once again written another great story in this series. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
July Flames…
While this was a good read, I can honestly say that it isn’t my most favorite in the series. I liked Fergus but just could not bring myself to like Aubrey. In my opinion she went past “Diva” status straight to “Queen Bit**”.

Child-star-turned-pop-star Aubrey and former-military-turned-bodyguard Fergus initially clash, but it quickly becomes clear he’s the steady and earnest protector she needs. Letting down her walls to trust him might be the most difficult thing she’s ever done, but first she has to know if he’s worthy of that trust. Their romance develops as a slow burn, but there’s no shortage of emotional connection and sexual tension along the way.
The secondary characters play an important part, especially Fergus’s family. The tight-knit Collins clan is loving, if quirky, and various members demonstrate to Aubrey what family is truly about throughout the story. Wouldn’t have been the same story without them.
This was an amazing story. I loved it so much. It was a tale packed full of passion, intrigue and love. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
Wilder Irish Series just keeps being amazing!! Mari Carr is a rockstar!

I loved this bodyguard, pop star romance.
Aubrey been in movies and music since she was 3, her mom craved the lifestyle. Aubrey never new anything else. In the business there is no trust no one has your back, she did not even have a loving mother just a leech.
Fergus came from a warm loving extended family that always has your back. He has received entry returned home from 9 years in the military. He take a job as a favor to his cousin to be a bodyguard for Aubery she has a stalker.
This is their story as she learns about family.
