New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Ashley brings a new story in her Chaos series featuring Dutch Black…Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.
Not going to lie, there were moments in this book that just sucker-punched me in the feels. I’d be reading along, loving the story and the relationship between Dutch and Georgie, and a thing would happen on the page, and I’d dissolve into a great heaving sob. Not a lot of them, but they were there, and they made their impression. On me, on the characters, and they will for you too. Dutch is a gentlemen biker, a deep thinker, a social intellectual, his father’s son. Both of them. And when he meets Georgie, it doesn’t go well. But Georgie isn’t a slacker, she is a warrior of justice, emotionally aware, and a great empath, so she sets to make it right. Thus begins the longest date in history, which includes a cat-not-my-cat, and learning that the Black boys are cat whisperers, and they didn’t even know it! Some laughs, some sexiness, some feels, but at the heart of it, a man finding his way, re-finding his family, with his girl, and a woman finding her man, and still being herself and keeping her passions. This story did not disappoint and left me feeling hopeful, loved, and happy for the future of the characters <3
Kristen Ashley + new release = me curled up with my ereader
I was so excited when KA announced she was writing stories for the Black boys, and Wild Fire did not disappoint. The meet cute cracked me up, Dutch was a great book boyfriend, and Georgie was a special heroine.
I am a huge Kristen Ashley fan, and her Chaos series is among my all-time top favorite series. It’s one of the few series that I reread, and I do that often. Any chance I can slip back into that world, I’m going to take it, so when new material is offered up, you can bet that I’d jump at the chance and I’m going to relish the experience. For diehard KA fans, Wild Fire, a 1001 Dark Nights novella, is a chance to head back to the compound and commune with those bikers and their women. For a reader new to Kristen Ashley’s Chaos world, this is a chance to dip your toe in that water and get a little taste of what lays in wait for you should you decide to jump in and read the whole series. Something, by the way, that I wholeheartedly recommend to every romance reader.
Wild Fire is the story of Dutch Black and Georgiana Traylor. Dutch is the son of an original member of the Chaos MC. His father was lauded the moral compass of the club, he was revered by all the members, and his murder hit both his family and the club hard. Georgie is a journalist working for a digital news outlet, and her current beat is wearing her down. She returns home after an assignment to find Dutch, who is doing a favor for her sister, at the airport to pick her up. That first meeting was as far from cute as could be, and while their second meeting didn’t start out great either, the sparks were definitely flying. Bottom line, this novella was aptly named because Dutch and Georgie were absolute fire together. This was so much more than just physical attraction, though. These two were perfectly paired, masterfully matched and in sync in all ways. I could not get enough of their romance or how natural and right they felt together. But I was just as invested in the interesting storyline that not only propelled this couple forward, but brought some KA favorites into the mix.
Wild Fire by Kristen Ashley for me was a chance to revisit a favorite series through a fresh story. It temporarily quenched a thirst—and simultaneously left me craving more. If you want to try out Ashley’s Chaos MC series before committing to it, this novella is a great place to start. If like me, you just want to take a trip back to the compound with some new material, this is your chance. But either way, know that you’re in for a captivating, page-turning, sexy love story full of all that crackalicious KA alpha male awesomeness. Five smooches from me for Wild Fire by Kristen Ashley!

Well it’s no secret that I absolutely love Kristen Ashley’s writing. And her Chaos series has been a thing of beauty. But add her to a 1001 Dark Nights and I’m one happy little camper.
Because as much as I love Kristen Ashley, man can she be wordy. And being someone who doesn’t care about fashion or decorating I love that she skips over those parts in these novellas and gets right to the heart of her characters and their story.
Mainly because she writes such great characters. And although the men are all growling, alpha, bad arses I can’t get enough of them. Dutch obviously is one I have “known” for a while through other members books. But getting all of him was awesome. And I loved that so much of this book was told from his perspective.
The way he saw Georgie was truly beautiful and even if she had been a raging bitch, I still would have loved her from how Dutch saw her. Luckily for us she was a typical strong, opinionated, interesting woman who was easy to admire.
I really loved this story. And I really loved seeing Jag, Keeley and Hound. But now I am upset we have to wait six months for Jaggers book. I should say that while I’m obsessed with this author and have read all these books you could happily read this as a standalone. However be prepared because this rock chick is addictive and she has enough books to keep you sleepless for months. Just saying.
Great author, great book, great listen, and fantastic characters. I enjoyed returning to the Chaos MC, even if I wished it were longer.
Wild Fire by Kristen Ashley is a novella set in her Chaos MC world and oh my GIDDY AUNT it blew me away!
Dutch had me hooked from the very first page. I always know what I can expect from a KA man and he met every single expectation and indeed exceeded them!
And Georgiana is a fire cracker and had me grinning with the first time she opened her mouth to say something!
There is drama, there is a whole lot of heart ache and heart mending, there is one HECK of an emotional rollercoaster ride of a journey and there is a ton of laughter and even more sass.
There’s a bit of a stroll down memory lane that puts a smile on your face, and touching moments that absolutely hit you in the FEELS and make you hungry for more!
You’ll finish this read wanting Georgie to be your friend and wanting a Dutch of your own, I guarantee it! So, come hang out with true family and Chaos for a while!
P. S. I want a Murtagh!!!
Wild Fire was a fantastic read! I loved Dutch and Georgiana so much. This was fast-paced, incredibly entertaining, all kinds of sexy, and super sweet! Excellent addition to the Chaos series.
Wild Fire is a 1001 Dark Nights Novella by Kristen Ashley that is set in her Chaos MC world. It takes place after the book Free and is Dutch’s story. It’s book 6.5 if you’ve read the series.
I didn’t realize how much I missed Chaos until once I started reading this story. KA’s books always have the ability to suck me in from the very first page and keep me hanging onto every word. Her books make me feel as though I am in the same room as the characters who feel more like family and friends than just names in a book.
Dutch is a great guy, and I adored Georgie too. They clashed when they initially met and both said some ugly things they didn’t mean. When they met again, it was heated for a minute, but the attraction they shared took center stage and it was obvious watching them fall in love was going to be a fun ride. There were a number of times I laughed out loud. Georgie has the best outlook and personality. She took things seriously but could still find humor. Dutch was drowning in the past and didn’t realize how lost he was until Georgie entered his life. I loved Murtagh and thought he added some humor to the story as well.
I enjoyed the Carlyle portion of the book which succeeded in showcasing just how wonderful Dutch truly was. Various characters from other series make appearances and it was just good to be back in this world.
Wild Wind is another 1001 Dark Nights Novella which is being released early next year. It’s Jagger’s (Dutch’s brother) book, and I already have it pre-ordered.
Dutch is swoon worthy. He’s got a heart of gold and though we’ve never met Graham Black, we did in this story. Dutch had two fathers. Hound and Graham. His fathers, his mother and all the Chaos MC made him the man he is.
Georgie? She’s perfect for him. She’s style and sass, strong and independent. More importantly, she sees him. All of him.
I loved the last chapters and epilogue. Dutch finds his way. He’s found his match. And he’s found peace.
I was so excited to read about Dutch and was not disappointed. I loved that when Dutch and Georgiana didn’t exactly have the best first meeting but that was quickly rectified. I loved that Georgie was so cute with her cat and I loved her personality. I also loved that by the end Dutch is reminded how much he is part of Chaos and finds a new purpose. I loved this book from start to finish and didn’t want to put it down.
It was wonderful to see what a great young man Dutch turned out to be and this novella was great.
I recommend it and can’t wait for Jag’s story next.
Wonderful, quick read! I didn’t want to put it down. Dutch & Georgianna start out on the wrong foot a bit, but I love the way they resolve that & get down to being together. There’s intrigue & a problem to solve along with their banter & family time. AND THE CAT!!
I enjoyed everything from first to last page in this story, and I LOVE the direction Chaos is going. It was all just perfect for me.
: )
I absolutely love the Chaos world that Kristen Ashley has created. It is one of my all time favorite series, so I couldn’t wait to get the story of Dutch. There was a lot to love here for fans of the series, and it was great to see familiar faces as well as meet some new ones. Wild Fire also set up the series to continue with Jagger’s story and I already can’t wait.
While I liked the characters here and was excited to see Dutch get his story after seeing him grow up with Chaos, it took me a bit to warm up to Georgie. In the end I was happy with how things turned out and was on board with them. They had chemistry and I enjoyed seeing how things grew and changed between them.
KA is one of my favorite authors and I always jump at the chance to go back to the Chaos world, so I can’t wait for more in this series and to get to know Jagger better. Fans of Chaos will enjoy reading more in this world, and if you are new to KA, I highly recommend giving this series a shot!

The Chaos series always hold a special place in my heart because that’s where I was introduced to MC romance and to KA’s special brand of hot alpha male. I was said to say goodbye to the Chaos biker hotties when the series kind of wrapped up with Free. I was so excited that we could go back to the Chaos compound again in Wild Fire.
Dutch and Georgie’s meet cute was all kinds of wrong. They started off on the wrong foot because of some miscommunication and they were both in a foul mood due to some personal predicament. However, as they get to see and know each other, sparks started flying off the roof and they were great together. Although Georgie was not born in the MC world, she fitted right in with the other old ladies in the club.
Even though this is a KA’s length novella, meaning it is the length of some author’s full-length novel, I still wished it was longer. The story gave off all the signature KA feel. You will find a protective alpha hottie, a sassy heroine who can hold her own, and an unjust situation that needed vengeance and righteousness.
Another favorite of mine was the cameo appearances from the hot bunch, Chaos brothers and their biker babes. This book can be read as a standalone but you would appreciate it more if you have read the Rock Chicks and Chaos series.
I truly enjoyed this intense, funny and well-written MC romance. I really hope that KA would base her future work in Denver forever so we would continue to have glimpses of all of her characters from time to time.
I volunteered to provide an honest review of an advance complimentary copy of this book.

Knowing the two men who are responsible for the man Dutch Black became and is still striving to become made it easy for me to adore this alpha biker, because as much as he’s a man’s man who lives the Chaos life, loud and proud, there’s a softer side that comes through as well, and I feel like a lot of that has to do with what he endured as a young boy after the murder of his father and his desire, as an adult, to help others who have gone through or are going through the same kind of tragedy. So the fact that Dutch undertakes a special mission – one close to his heart – makes him one hell of a gentleman biker…if there is such a thing;)
And, then, when Georgie storms into his life, it’s clear that he’s met his match because there’s a fire inside her, which makes their initial interactions tenuous at best, but the fact that she challenges him but also truly sees him is why these two together are electric and their chemistry is off-the-charts and as soon as they join forces and realize their first impressions weren’t quite right, things between them ignite and they find exactly what they need and want in one another.
I am a Chaos girl through and through, so anytime I can return to my Kristen Ashley roots, I am there. And the fact that this is Dutch Black’s story – a character who readers met and got to know in Hound’s book – makes this new novella, in one of my all-time favorite KA worlds, a must read. And now I have to patiently wait for Dutch’s brother, Jagger, to have his story told as well.
4.5 Poison Apples
Wild Fire is a novella in the Chaos series featuring Dutch Black and Georgiana Taylor.
Dutch is the son of Keely and Graham Black and the stepson of Dutch, who is featured in Wild Like the Wind.
Dutch is Chaos through and through and the perfect blend of both Black and Hound. He has a heart of gold, is king, caring, compassionate and thoughtful. Dutch is quite headstrong, yet also honorable.
Georgiana Taylor and Dutch cross paths when he does a favor for his brother Jagger. Georgiana is a sassy, fierce and passionate journalist. She’s big hearted, but has strong views and is not afraid to speak her mind.
Wild Fire is a passionate, sweet, sexy and heartfelt read. This pair of characters have an undeniable chemistry and connection, and I honestly wanted to see more of this pair.
Several past characters make cameo appearances throughout this title, and it’s left me even more eager for Jagger’s story next.
Sweet baby Jesus am I sucker for a sexy biker book!!!
But when it’s a Kristen Ashley book, well it’s just an added bonus!
Now let me tell you it was worth the lack of sleep.
Wild Fire: A Chaos Novella was sweet, sexy, pull at my heartstrings heaven, and everything we could have ever asked for in Dutch’s book.
I have read a couple of books by Kristen Ashley but I haven’t read anything from her Chaos Series and this was a great introduction to this series and has certainly left me wanting to read more.
Dutch is a member of the Chaos MC, the son of an original member, and he has been hit hard since his fathers murder. Georgie is a journalist I so loved this girl, her sass, her fire, matched with Dutch was quite the inferno.
This Novella from Kristen Ashley has wet my appetite for this series and I am adding it to my TBR list. The storyline was engaging and the character endearing.
I am not normally a fan of Novella’s as i prefer full length stories but this 1001 Dark Nights series is a great way to meet new authors.
A good solid Chaos story. I enjoyed it. It was a sweet ride with lower angst than usual. Dutch and Georgie have a sweet happily ever after. 4 stars
Not my first read by the author, she happens to be my 3rd read ever many moons ago. I fell in love with this series and Kristen’s writing so I love her work!
Okay, at the very very beginning I was little skeptical of the heroine and you’ll see why but I gotta say that changed so quick and I absolutely udderly love the hero in this I’ll explain why but I fell in love with Georgiana just in love. Now the reason why I love this Hero Dutch because he is the son of Graham Black who unfortunately got killed when he was five and you met him in the Chaos Series, so when I saw this i about screamed i always wondered what will happen. I also have to say that this is a first time a NOVELLA made it in my TOP 2020 MUST READ. Also good news but Jagger his brother gets a story too so happy days!
Okay so Jag asks Dutch for a favor, to go pick up his on/off girl’s sister from the airport because they both were stuck doing other stuff. Reluctantly Duck does him a solid. But he was no prepared for a woman that had a LONG AF opinion on overhead baggage bins. Looking back now that was hilarious and overly dramatic. That said because I don’t want to ruin this shorter story and will say that to me I wouldn’t suggest reading it alone, the Chaos series is something else on its own. But if you must this gives you enough information to go by. THAT said, this really shows when 2 characters are so many to be, that your heart flourishes with them. I loved their banner, their honestly, their fucking amazing connection and mostly because our heroine here is a very confident curvy gorgeous woman that the hero admires throughout. It’s sweet, fun, romantic, suspenseful, mystery, action and SO ROMANTIC! The heart on this level 15!! *sigh happily* because I already want to re read and have more please!!!!!
