Wild, Crazy Hearts is book 4 in The Bradens & Montgomery’s: Pleasant Hill- Oak Falls and it’s Brindle Montgomery and Trace Jericho’s story and what an emotional tale they have to tell.
Brindle has traveled to Paris for a vacation when she finds out she is pregnant by Trace the man she has had an on and off relationship for many moons, their relationship is hard to define never boyfriend and girlfriend but more than friends with benefits so Brindle stalls coming home for as long as she can and when Trace accuses her of sleeping with another man she lets him believe it.
One lie turns into another and it soon becomes hard to tell Trace the truth but deep down Brindle knows he deserves to know that he is the father but how can she tell hm when he was so quick to believe she had cheated on him………
This book ticked all my boxes, I loved Trace he is hot, swoon worthy and protective, I loved Brindle and her impulsive ways and together they are perfect and meant to be. As always it’s easy to get involved with this family and their friends and this author has a real talent when it comes to making you feel like you are visiting home when you pick up one of her books. Looking forward to what’s next in this great series. Highly recommended for all romance lovers.
Wild Crazy Hearts is the fourth title in The Bradens and Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls series. Ever since the ending of Trails of Love I’ve been waiting for Brindle and Trace’s story.
Trace is loyal, loving and protective. Brindle is a bit of a wild child. This pair share a tumultuous relationship, their biggest issue is their inability to communicate their thoughts and feelings with each other and in doing so end up hurting each other the most.
Despite the fact that they struggle to share their feelings, the heat, heart and sexual chemistry between this pair just oozes right off the page. Their banter is witty, fun and engaging and I loved that above all else they are best friends.
There are several cameo appearances from Melissa’s previous books an series’ that I quite enjoyed as I love how all her different worlds are interconnected.
I will be eagerly awaiting the next release in the Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls series.
Ever since Brindle showed up at the end of the last Bradens & Montgomerys Book, I have been anticipating her story. And, Melissa Foster didn’t disappoint me with this one. Set in a small town where everyone knows everyone’s business or definitely flames the fires of the rumor mill, we get Brindle & Trace’s story. These two have had an on-again/off-again, explosive as dynamite relationship from the time they were teenagers. We come to understand that they have a lack communication skills outside the sheets and a baby on the way. They have loved the other for like forever but have been scared to say something for fear of scaring the other one off. Enter an expected surprise of a baby. Along the way they get advice from family and friends. And find out that an account had been set up on social media called #TeamTrindle. That has them realizing that the town and so many others are rooting for them to succeed as a couple too!!! Once everyone finds out there is a baby on board, they want to know will they be having a little girl or boy. So, from #TeamTrindle emerges #TeamFilly or #TeamColt. We get the reveal during a Thanksgiving race called the Turkey Trot!! Which I’m not revealing! I’m gonna let you read the book to find out what that little bit of news turns out to be. So totally #TeamTrindle or is that #TeamTrindleTrio now!!
This is the best book of the Braden & Montgomerys series and Brindle and Trace have been hinted in several books, which made me eager for finally reading their story.
They are young… Their story sometimes is naive and sexy at the same time, because they both are in their twenties and never have been in a romantic relationship with another person, only with each other. Melissa Foster is masterful in capturing how pure they are in their feelings and how sometimes even when you love too much you hurt the other person.
These characters are loving, family oriented and hot as hell! They are just trying to do they best they can and in the book is wonderful to see they grow and how they are so connected.
I just loved the women’s group that is formed to help Brindle and wish there is some here where live because I could use the tips! Wonderful story
Wild, Crazy Hearts is my favorite so far of the The Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill-Oak Falls series. This one is just so fantastic. I couldn’t put it down. I love Brindle and Trace. The on and off relationship makes them even more interging. They just have such history and passion between them it is hard to contain. They are meant to be even if they never admitted it to themselves or each other in the past. Now that Brindle is back in town hold onto your seats. Fireworks, romance, family and so much more is what you get in this book. Watching Brindle and Trace come to the realization of what they have is so beautiful to watch. Melissa Foster has just this wonderful way with her words to keep you glued to the pages and make you feel like you are apart of her storys. I for one can’t wait for more from this series. I love these familys so much and how other characters from other series are all tied in together. You can’t go wrong when it comes to a Melissa Foster book.
I have been waiting for Brindle and Trace’s story since finishing Trails of Love and the wait was completely worth it!
Brindle returns home from France pregnant. Needless to say her family and her on and off again lover were completely surprised. Of course, Trace doesn’t take the news well and kind of lashes out at Brindle.
Their relationship started when they were 13 and 15 and has continued throughout their adult lives. They have had so many ups and downs. I swear they have one of the most intense relationships I have ever read about but you can’t help but sit back and enjoy the wild, crazy ride they take you on. There are so many feelings and emotions involved with them and they, well mostly Brindle, are afraid to admit how they really feel.
I couldn’t put this story down. I was completely invested in their relationship and was rooting for them the entire time. I love how involved their families are and the town of Oak Falls. Everyone is completely #TeamTrindle and not afraid to show their love and support. I love how invested EVERYONE gets when it comes to the baby, too.
Trace, that cowboy is seriously swoon worthy! He may not be perfect when it comes to his relationship with Brindle but he definitely made up for it in the end. Watching his and Brindle’s relationship change and grow as they learn to work through their faults and hang ups is truly something magical.
Though this is the 4th book in the series it can be read as a complete standalone, but the rest of the family is well worth the reads! Saddle up and get ready to enjoy the wild, crazy ride that is #TeamTrindle.
5 Star review of Wild, Crazy Hearts (The Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls #4) by Melissa Foster
This is Trace Jericho and Brindle Montgomery’s story and what an engaging story it was. I have read several books by Melissa Foster and I thoroughly enjoy her style of writing.
Trace has been in love with Brindle for what seems like forever although she seems to be happy to continue with their friends with benefits arrangement which they have been in on and off for years.
Their attraction and chemistry is sizzling and intense. However there is certainly a great deal of miss communication between them which was frustrating at times.
Wild, Crazy Hearts certainly ticked the boxes for me. Trace is swoon worthy, protective and altogether a great guy. Brindle is a rule breaker and at times impulsive but all that is about to change.
I love Brindle and Trace and found them easy to relate to as I did the secondary characters. I cannot wait to read the next am book in the series.
I freaking love Brindle and Trace. This is probably one of my more favorite couples in the Love in Bloom world (at least, the ones that I have read). They’ve had a lot of fights and miscommunications over the years, and they weren’t even officially together. But because of Brindle being pregnant, they realize that things need to change, and they need to work together. Trace has always gone with what Brindle wanted in a no-strings attached thing, but not anymore. He wants it all with her, and she realizes she wants it all with him. It just took a long trip to Paris to realize it. I loved the character growth, and the growth in their relationship. They both made strides towards being better and more responsible people. Since they’ve been “together” for so long, the community supports them too, in awesome ways. It’ll make you want your own Oak Falls to call home.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I am very sorry, but this is the first book by Melissa, that I absolutely couldn’t get into. Brindle and Trace are way to childish and all that forced media stuff… That one big lie, that took ages to get straightend – just too much.
The story starts with Brindle returning home from her stay in Paris. She knows her life is about to change and has a secret that she hasn’t told anyone, including her family or Trace. Trace is happy to see her until he realizes she is pregnant. Trace and Brindle have been involved for a lot of years. They break up, reconnect and break up again. The explode and react strongly instead of trying to talk to each other. I loved the story because the reader knows Trace and Brindle are meant to be, but they don’t. The characters have to realize what they want and figure out a way to make it work. Their willingness to do what is needed is a lesson we could all learn from. I received an advance copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Love Montgomery style is fast, furious, reckless and heartbreaking. In other words, It’s complicated. Wild, Crazy Hearts takes complicated to the extreme. Brindle and Trace are chaos at it’s finest. Instead of admitting their emotions, each hides behind a friends with benefits situation. But a baby changes everything. Now they have to decide if their relationship is strong enough to survive the ultimate betrayal. Foster pours every emotion known to man onto a powerhouse canvas. She delves into the painful, explores the sentimental and sets out to cleanse the demons of a love affair that was years in the making. Romance with a punch is the Melissa Foster way.
I’m definitely #TeamTrindle!
I have been very impatiently waiting for Brindle and Trace’s story, especially since we found out at the end of Morgyn’s that Brindle came home from Paris with an announcement to make. Thank you for living up to my expectations!
I love all the small town touches, and all the ups and downs Brindle dealt with. I always feel like I’m visiting with friends and family when reading one of Melissa’s books, but the visits are so much fun! All the excitement and drama.
4 1/2 stars ~~ Trace and Brindle have been a non traditional couple since they were teenagers. Relating to each other still in a teenage way they fight, say things they don’t mean, make each other jealous and flea. When Brindle returns home from her solo trip to Paris later than originally planned she can’t wait to see Trace. Not only because she missed him but because of what he gave her when she left. But in true form, they attacked first then rationalized later. Can Trace and Brindle learn how to relate to each other as adults and not teenagers?
Trace has loved Brindle since she first set eyes on him. They’ve been best friends for just as long. Neither wanting to make the commitment of saying those 3 little words but both feeling all the feelings. When Brindle finally returns home from Paris he can’t wait to get back to their relationship but she comes back with more than he bargained for and he reacts, badly.
Brindle spent extra time away trying to wrap her head around how her life was about to change. She wanted to make sure she could be strong enough on her own before involving her family and Trace. When she finally sees him, he reacts badly, and in true Brindle form she lashes out saying things she didn’t mean. Can she backtrack the words and get back her best friend?
Brindle and Trace are so similar it can do more harm than good when they try to have a “normal” relationship. They work really hard develop their relationship to where they can speak honestly with each other without going directly into fight mode. While they’ve loved each other for a long time, it was nice to see them honestly work on their issues instead of “poof” changed. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy without expectation for review, all opinions expressed are my own. A solid 4 ½ star for this latest installment in the Bradens & Montgomerys series.
Brindle is a schoolteacher and wild and independent. Trace is a rancher and has been in an off again/ on again relationship with Brindle for years. She goes to Paris for six weeks and returns pregnant. Now at first she gives Trace the impression the baby isn’t his but when she tells him, he’s excited. They decide to start over and learn to communicate better. Brindle is rash and always ready for a good time. Trace has loved her forever but was afraid to tell her, afraid she’d find someone else. He let her believe he was happy with their friends with benefits arrangement yet he only wants Brindle.
Excellent story with fighting and make up sex. Hilarious at the end. Can’t wait for the rest of the Montgomery’s and Jericho’s stories.
