But Cooper disappeared, and Cici was left to raise the daughter he never knew about alone.
Cooper is finally thinking straight after years of being lost in grief from the tragedy that killed his father and left his mother blind. Now he’s on a mission to find the woman he left behind–the only woman he’s ever loved.
But Cici Fine is no longer a naive young girl. She’s a savvy businesswoman with big responsibilities, on the cusp of a life-changing move. When fate brings the two together, they’ll put the old adage to the test and find out if love really can conquer all.

Oh this one was my favorite of all 4. Cooper & Cici finding their way back to each other was absolutely magical.
Does he deserve a second chance? That is what Cici has to decide. Cooper certainly puts out everything to try to earn it. This book is a wonderful end to a wonderful series. Melissa Foster has done it again. She has written another book that pulls you into the story, so you feel like you are there experiencing it with them. Warning: Once you start it, it will be real hard to put it down. I highly recommend this author, this series, and this book.
So I don’t like the trope where the woman doesn’t tell the man about a child they have until years later. Now having said that at least in this novella Cici did try contacting Cooper to tell him but he ignored her. This book is a second chance at true love. Cooper shut down after the tragic loss of his father and it takes four years for him to come out of that grief. This book is very emotional for both Cici and Cooper. You will find a wedding, a lot of steam, heart and emotional feeling in this novella.
*I received this free book from the author and am leaving my honest opinion*
I listened to the audio version of this book. I love these books by Melissa Foster that have turned the heat up just a little from what she was writing. It gives the characters a little maturity that seemed lacking in some of the others.
Cooper’s story is a second chance at love trope. Cooper comes back into Cici’s life wanting another chance at giving her forever, which he promised her before he disappeared four years earlier. Needless to say, winning her over may take a little work and soul bearing. The circumstances soften Cici’s heart enough for him to at least get a foot in the door and maybe more of him into her bed.
I really did love the two of them together, but he didn’t have to work hard enough to get her back. It taking a little longer would have given Cici more backbone, but it was a short book. Of course, the voice of narrator Paul Woodson contributed to me not caring a whole lot!
I was given a complimentary copy of this audio book. All thoughts are my own.
Audiobook Review…Oh my.. these Wild Boys are amazing. Paul Woodson has the perfect voice to bring Cooper Wild to life. As I listened to Paul’s voice I could feel the love, the respect, and the fear at losing the love of his life that Cooper has. While the story is Melissa Foster’s to share listening to the story instead of reading it brought it to life for me. Everything about the story, the narrator, and the characters is perfect. Whether you are familiar with the story and characters or new to them I highly recommend listening to Cooper Wild’s story.
eBook Review… A love lost…or almost. Cooper met his soul mate then his family had a catastrophe happen and he lost her. The sad part, Cici didn’t even know what made him leave her. This is a story of hope and lost love. Cooper comes back to where he met Cici and does find her again. I liked that Cici did not just forgive and forget. He has to work to get her to even spend time with her.
Within this book is also a HUGE secret. I am not sure most men would handle the secret as Cooper did. When the secret came to light he took it in stride. He did not let it disrupt anyone’s lives and proved his love by rolling with what was happening.
In true Melissa Foster style, she brought the reader a new family of hot sexy men. These men are a little hotter and a little sexier than others she has written about. The storyline is more graphic than other books in her series. I am definitely in lust with these men.
Cooper was my fav Wild Boy
Overall 4 out of 5 stars
Performance 4 out of 5 stars
Story 5 out of 5 stars

Cooper was not seen a lot during the other three brothers stories but he was there in the background. I was not sure what to expect from him but I am happy that I hung in there to get to his story. Cici and Cooper made that burning connection that went beyond casual sex and outside flirting. The made bond with each other that made a disconnect in both of their lives when they were apart. The disconnect was handled in different ways by each of them.
This was a short story but it made an impact for me. It was the one story of this series that made the biggest impact for me. There was a history between Cici and Cooper. There was a real sightline for a future for them also. Getting to know Cooper and Cici was delightful.
Palu Woodson brought this one to life with a voice made to make a man stand out.
This was predictable. I listened to the audio book which was about 3 hrs and 40 min. Based on the previous books, it wasn’t long enough to be full of angst or have a really detailed storyline.
Cooper and CiCi had not seen or spoken to each other in 4 years. I don’t know why he couldn’t have tried to call her before just showing up. I don’t know that I could have so easily accepted his explanation. I know grief effects everyone differently, but I am not accepting that over a span of 4 years Cooper could not have picked up a phone ONE time!
Next, after ignoring Cici for that long, he feels the need to tell her about things I am would imagine she would rather not have known. He could have easily kept all that to himself.
I thought the narration sounded kind of dramatic. Maybe a little over the top for this book. It was ok, but I didn’t feel like it for the characters at all.
A quick listen with a HEA that was an OK listen. I hate to say it, but I can’t tell you 100% if there were steamy scenes or not. I think there were one of two, but if they were in the book, they were not memorable. I would give this 2.5 stars.
This is the final book in this series (only 4 brothers) and Cooper met and lost his real love in a week when his father was killed and his mother was left blind. Now, after coming out of his depression, he wants to get that love back and to do that he knows where to find her, back where he found her to begin with…at the same film festival. Cici was left devastated when Cooper suddenly left and never contacted her again, after all she was left pregnant. Now four years later she is back at the same festival and opens her hotel door and there he is. This is a second chance romance and it is perfectly told. The chemistry is still there and not forced and wonderfully told. It was how Cooper found out he was a dad that literally brought me to tears. But wait, the ending was perfect! This was my favorite of the Wild Boys books and had the most feels.
I joyfully cried reading this book. so VERY heartfelt. Melissa Foster is amazing. whenever I feel a bit down I buy a new one of her books and am immediately uplifted. Such heart felt characters that love fast and completely. I love these books!
Another good quick addition to the Wild Boys After Dark series and the Wild Boys family. Cooper was the most family conscience of all of the brothers. He knew what he wanted and went after it, well, after 4 years anyway. There were not games in this story, just straight romance with the side of heat we’ve always to enjoy with this series. The narrator was good and kept the story interesting and alive.
I listened to this on audible
Cooper and Cici’s second chance at love was so emotional and steamy. When they first met, they had an instant attraction with explosive chemistry. When Cooper’s father is killed, it sends he, and his whole family, into a tailspin. He couldn’t keep the promises he made to Cici and stopped seeing her. Now four years later, he turned his life around, and is determined to find, and win back, the only woman to steal his heart. When they find each other again, they can’t deny how much they still want each other. But Cici has her own secrets that could break both their hearts, this time for good.
I enjoyed Paul Woodson’s deep, seductive voice that easily lured me into this story, bringing it to life.
Cooper’s story is the poignant, and seductive conclusion to the Wild Boys series. Although it isn’t very long, it drew me in and I enjoyed their HEA.
great series
