Wilder Irish, book 4: AprilFiona has a man problem—she has too many in her life. How does she choose between Owen, the sweet boy (turned sexy man) she dated in college and Asher, the hot hunk starring in too many current fantasies? Fiona’s resigned to having neither man…until Owen and Asher take matters into their own hands—literally. It’s a case of life imitating sexy sitcom…even more so when … sitcom…even more so when Fiona’s recent ex, Mr. Big Gesture himself, shows up to win her back—with his biggest gesture yet.
Previously titled April Fools.

Only Mari Carr could write a book that IS an April Fools joke. What a unique, funny, sexy story! She kept me guessing right up until the last page. Perfect blend of humor and romance with a twist ending. Bravo!
Wow! What a fun book this turned out to be! Fiona, Asher, Owen & Teddy are best friends & sitcom writing partners. Fiona is single for the first time in five yrs, Asher & Owen both love her. How do you keep from hurting your best friend, while trying to find your true love? This was a very well written, fun story, especially coming on the heals of book three and it’s truly heavy story line! I LOVE THIS SERIES!
This was a fun, lighthearted read that features Sky and Teagan’s youngest daughter Fiona, and her three friends since her college days. The four of them are involved with a hit series and the season finale is set to be shot at Pat’s Pub. Teddy is such a scream and Pop Pop has a bigger role in this story. I definitely did not see the ending coming. Love this series.
Absolutely didn’t see any of that coming! Loved the surprises throughout. I need a fun friend like Teddy and a Pop Pop to tell it like it is.
April Fools is not a joke. This light hearted but still drama filled book is a perfect blend of fun, flirty, and filthy. Friendship, family, and more are a huge part of this love story. Mari Carr has you tripping over your lust and wishing for a big gesture. Just not from the usual giver!
Sweet, sexy and tinged with the sadness that lingers from a lost love in her previous book, April Fools is a pick me up I didn’t expect. I haven’t read March Wind, the previous book in this series, or any of the Wilder books. Just something about this one had to be enjoyed. Now that I know what I’m in for, it looks like I’m going to get a lot “wilder”. (Giggles)
Fiona, Asher, Owen, and Teddy have been friends since college. They wrote a script and it was made into a sitcom. They are going to Fiona’s hometown to film the season finale at her family’s pub. Asher and Owen both love Fiona, so Asher comes up with them having a threesome. Owen gets called away for an audition and encourages Asher and Fiona to sleep together. Fiona is all for it but wants only one of them and is afraid to mess up their friendship.
Funny. Steamy. Great characters. Made me a little teary eyed. Secrets and shockers.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for Netgalley *
After the seriousness of March Wind, April Fools was a much needed, much lighter reprieve. That’s not to say that this book didn’t have its serious moments, as well as just as much emotion. There was just a much different feel to April Fools.
Book 4 of the Wilder Irish Series focuses on Fiona, the other daughter of Skye Mitchell and Teagan Collins (Ruby Tuesday). She is much different from her sister, Ailis (February Stars). She embraced the lifestyle of her parents. She is a much more open, take charge kind of girl. She plays hard and loves harder. She also lives on the west coast, as a script writer for a sit com, along with her best friends from college, Owen, Asher, and Teddy. While they are all visiting her family’s bar in Baltimore for a filming of the show, things come out and feelings are revealed.
This book kept me guessing, and on the edge of my seat! I couldn’t stop reading for anything, because I just couldn’t wait to see what was coming next. And boy was I surprised! I never saw that ending coming! I’m not giving anything away, so you will just have to read it to find out, but this book is just the thing to pull me out of the sorrow lingering from March Wind. I loved all of the Collins, and I can’t wait to see what happens to the rest of the grandkids!
I like the entire series and this one is just as unique and special as the prior books.
