“You don’t deserve Heaven. You’re more interesting than good can ever be.”Ever since Ellis lost her twin, Ash, in a car crash, she’s suffered terrible nightmares. She sees Ash in a strange and mystical land, running for her life. But from who? Or what? And when Ellis wakes from her dreams, it’s often to a world on fire. Ellis is only days from her eighteenth birthday when firefighters storm into … eighteenth birthday when firefighters storm into her house to put out the flames. Her mother surrenders her to a reform school for mutants like her. It’s a class of three, locked away in a haunted asylum. They are meant to battle the dead as well as their own demons.
She’s locked away with two men she probably shouldn’t trust.
Ryker. She’s drawn to the dangerous knight with the mystical tattoos.
Levi. She finds comfort in the kind-hearted, sword-swinging killer.
”The three of us together are too dangerous to cage.”

I wasn’t initially drawn to this series but after reading some of May’s latest books i have decided to catch up on all things May Dawson. I have given 4 stars because these books are very good but not quite as awsom as the Shifter Princess or Academy books which are 5 star plus books so its going to be difficult for anything else to measure up.
This is a well written and captivating story with wonderful characters that are well defined and although different to anything else she has written the storey so far has captured my imagination, and you have a female MC who is plagued by the death of her sister and the accompanying nightmares, she also has a naivety and vulnerability that are both endearing and off putting at the same time. She almost feels over needy at some points and strong in others. This storey so far lacks the complexity of Mays later books but it is still a very enjoyable read.
Ellis, a firestarter, and Ryker and his brother, Levi, are detained in a facility for people with “problems”, namely psychic phenomena, in the care of Dr. Parrish and Nurse Tom in a haunted mental hospital. The words, “We gotta get out of this place, If it’s the last thing we ever do, We gotta get out of this place, ‘Cause girl, there’s a better life for me and you” ring so true! Their escape, quest for a better life, and achieving it, is the theme of this book, which is full of action, sexual tension, and finally fulfillment for them in the final chapters. Maybe it will be Jake’s turn in the next book? I’m looking forward to it.
Wild Angels (Her Wild Angels Book 1) Kindle Edition
by May Dawson
I received a complimentary review copy and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
If you can get past the various and multiple typos which are highly distracting, you will find this to be a pleasant if not earth-shatteringly great book.
Our heroine Ellis is the stereotypical spunky, beautiful disaster who is found by her her destined mates, well 2 of her four Angels, when her mother ships her off to a school for wayward psychics. Ellis is the reincarnation of Lilith of Eden fame, which is an interesting twist that I hope is more exploited in the future books. Ryker and his brother Levi are your average demon hunters who are waiting for their soul mate, the reincarnation of Lilith. When Ellis joins them in a haunted asylum, they are ready to escape. Their half-brother swoops into save them. We don’t meet the fourth brother in this series.
Ryker and Levi are pushovers for her, and lack a certain alphaness that would have been nice. One can only deal with their servant like behavior for her.
The story moves along well. The Smexy time? A little blah
But all in all, a pleasant, swift read. I’m hoping book 2 is better.
3 stars out of 5

I fell in love with this series from the first chapter. The characters are awesome, Lilith is a strong female lead and the boys so far are supportive but also give her the push she needs. I can’t wait to read book 2.
This is an action packed start to the Lilith series. I liked Ellis, but there was a lot that happened and I thought it was a little off that she didn’t question and bought into the mythology so quickly. I liked the story enough that I will be checking out book 2 – Fierce Angels
